My sister, mom and I went a few weeks ago for both breakfast and lunch, and we agreed that breakfast was the overall superior experience. Got the s'mores French toast with a chocolate frappe and both were heavenly!! Tried my sister's blueberry crunch pancake as well, which was both light and flavorful. When we went back for lunch, however, we found the experience less enjoyable. Both of our waitresses were lovely, but the lunch food was definitely less appealing to us than breakfast. Got a cheeseburger as well as some chicken tenders, which while decent, both lacked uniqueness in terms of flavor. Both were good, but not something I'd crave again. We also shared some loaded fries that lacked crunch and flavor - my mom in particular didn't like their softer texture. Tried some of my sister's chorizo burger though, which was well-seasoned and definitely better than my own burger. Both meals were also decently expensive, (don't remember the exact price, but around 60-80 w/o a tip, with tip it was nearly 100) The ambiance and decor was very charming, with plenty of cute signs and photos that felt very homey and casual. Would definitely recommend breakfast, but for lunch, improvements can be made. Would still recommend for wonderful service + environment though! read more

Started off a bit bumpy, I order Chai (they don't have chai - given their extensive alcoholic drink menu, I was surprised) so, I order ice tea with lemon - told they have no lemon, hmmm? We heard good things about here so tried it and it was a great visit. The place is bigger than I expected, we were seated quickly and got some coffee to start. Plenty of good choices on the menu, my wife got the daily eggs Benedict special and I got The Country omelette special. We have been to the Nashua Yolk plenty of times but today we decided to try the original location and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and came out relatively quickly. The only thing we were disappointed in was the children running around the restaurant that belonged to a staff member. While I understand it can be hard to find care I also don't think it is ok to let them run around and cause chaos. A table nearby was also put off by it because their children kept trying to join the chaos. Unfortunately it did distract from the meal and our overall enjoyment. read more

Never again; I feel so sick right now. The eggs were cold and tasted of nothing, the coffee was burnt (don't sit at the bar if you want fresher coffee), the bacon was floppy and cold, the bananas foster French toast was drowning in syrup- sickly sweet, maybe 8 slices of banana vs 5 mounds of whipped cream in a bowl of syrup. The stuffed French toast was supposed to be like cheesecake filling - it was also sickly sweet with an unpleasant texture, like if you took a scoop of cream cheese, a scoop of cinnamon roll frosting, and mixed that with a pound of powdered sugar. All you can hear from the kitchen is yelling, most the servers look displeased with life, one of them was in pajama bottoms, she literally rolled out of bed and showed up to work. I found this place while avoiding a wedding party while staying in Salem, NH lol .... It's in a city called Pelham. I was greeted immediately at 6am in the morning by a cheerful lady. There was already a few people in dining and glad I came when I did because it started to fill up. I had the country fried steak and eggs and it was as good as it could be as most places I have had this for breakfast comes from a freezer. I'm not sure if this is the case here but it sure was better than others. It came with delicious tots and perfectly cooked eggs. The place is super clean and the service was really good. I was searching for a breakfast all day establishment. In scanning Yelp, I came across The Yolk Grill on Bridge St. in Pelham on Rt. 38. I have driven by this place often but never stop in. I was attracted to a photo on their website. BINGO. I now knew where I was headed and what my choice would be. Since it was about an hour before they were closing on a weekday, it was not terribly crowded. However the customers who were there, I gathered they were regulars. They were interactive with their waitstaff. I had the pleasure of having Frido as my waiter. He was prompt, courteous, and making sure my needs were met. I ordered the BLTE, plus getting to pick my choice of bread from a variety. I ordered it on sourdough. It wathe best egg/blt breakfast sandwiches I've had. I cannot wait to go back and try something new. Everything looked awesome on the menu. The Yolk could be easily missed since it is in a small strip mall next to a hardware store. LOVE the menu! So many breakfast, brunchy, lunchy choices! A huge space, sort of cavernous, with both booths and tables, bar in back with TV. Peter our server was so sweet and professional. I got the southern breakfast enchilada, which was more of a burrito but oh well it was really good! Hubs had the Huevos rancheros which was also a hit. So here the thing....they charge extra for hot sauce! Yeah I can afford the 25 cents but its the principal, really. Do they charge extra for salt and pepper, ketchup? UPDATE: This update is a lunch review only. From a past review, Yolk Grill breakfast is 5 stars. We finally visited them for lunch and well we'll stick to breakfast. On our recent lunch visit I tried to order their Reuben sandwich only to be told they were out of sliced corned beef. I was also then informed they were out of sliced turkey. Only 12:30PM and they were out these two standard lunch items? I opted with a basic burger, ordered medium well, with onion rings. After a longer than usual wait, the thin beef patty was closer to medium rare. The onion rings were very thinly sliced and in a heavy flavorless breading. My wife had their Buffalo chicken wrap and fries. The fries were the only star of either order. So for breakfast, which can be ordered all day, they still get the 5 Stars I gave them previously. But for this lunch review, I can only give them 2 Stars. read more

Family tried lunch today. Turkey club was not good. Turkey was very dry and there was a mountain of lettuce. The fruit cup fruit was all old and spoiled/brown. The Cajun chicken sandwich was fatty. The Yolk Grill is a solid four stars, I'm debating going even higher. Unlike many other businesses that come out strong with some new gimmick and then steadily decline to obscurity, the Yolk has done exactly the opposite. Since it came under new ownership, it has been steadily improving and is quickly becoming one of those local staples within the community. Food is a solid four. The staff is awesome! The owner is a firecracker. Menu is continuously being updated without giving up on the tried and true favorites. Novel drink ideas keep the customers interested and engaged. The only downside (and I'm really digging to find something) is you'll probably encounter a wait on the weekends (so get there early) and they keep changing my coffee cup :) lol.. not really a downside. It holds the same amount of coffee, I know. Stop in and you won't regret it. Stop in twice and they treat you like family with all the comfort food you'd expect from a diner disguised as grill.. This was my second time at the yolk grill, and the customer service was much better than the first time I went. This time, I tried the Bloody Mary. The look of it was everything, but for me, the drink was not it. If you like Bloody Mary's, then that drink would be for you. It was worth ordering to take a pic for the gram, though, lol. My daughter got the breakfast milkshake. That, too, was amazing to look at and take a pic of it as well. She said the milkshake part tasted like cereal milk. For a meal, I ordered the Hangover burger with loaded tator tots. It was so yummy! The burger was cooked just right, and it was juicy! My daughter ordered the crab cake and asparagus Benedict dish. I always try to go here on a day that isn't a weekend & isn't a Monday. Both days this place is slammed & so obviously days when it's not crazy are better to me. Both food, service & wait wise. And they have BOOZE, if that's a thing for you at breakfast. I'm old, I stick with coffee. PRO-Met Mildred for a late breakfast (for me) and early lunch (for her on a Tuesday recently. I got the croissant sandwhich with scrambled eggs (2) & bacon. There was SO much bacon on my sandwhich it was crazy! The home fries come in a cute little skillet & were well seasoned, soft & tasty. Mildred go the California Tuna Sandwhich (with avacado!! Fancy!) & the tater tots. She didn't leave a scrap on that plate. I ended up taking 1/2 my sandwhich home for breakfast the next day. Wrap it in a damp paper towel & microwave & it's very good still. CON - Server was a long time employee who can be hot/cold. Some days she is super friendly, other days she seems busy & distracted. Anyway, she was just ok today. SO - If you go, try not to go on a weekend or a busy Monday. If you do, expect a wait. Otherwise, this a very good place for breakfast or lunch. I have been here many times and used to brag to folks that they'd never find a better breakfast place. It was a source of pride that the breakfast spot In town was amazing. That said, I won't be back. Today they served me absolute grool. The eggs were not even cooked in my meal that I've ordered many times. Raw eggs served over cold tater tots. It was the frat house offering I guess. I also asked for crispy bacon which when brought to the table the server even said "crispy bacon" as she put it down. It wasn't. It was raw looking and I questioned whether eating it would make me sick. We waited a long time for the table. We put our name on the call ahead list when they said there was no one on it then 10 minutes later when we arrived we still waited almost a half hour. After checking in they forgot or didn't write down we checked in. If we hadn't asked we'd still be sitting there. I took two bites of their cold and raw breakfast offering this morning and left my family sitting finishing their breakfast while I went to McDonald's across the street. I'd give this zero stars if it was an option. I love breakfast and with so many incredible brunch options, The Yolk is a pass for me. I think I'll just try new places until I find something I love. Had brunch today and it ended with a strained and uncomfortable interaction. I ordered a virgin Bloody Mary and they charged me the same as the alcohol version because the bottled mix they use is "very expensive" (Zing Zang). There was this weird vibe, like they were trying to punish me for wasting their precious juice. They didn't comment when I ordered it, but I guess it was a very controversial decision in the eyes of the Yolk staff After some gaslighting and a weird negotiation, they knocked the price of my virgin cocktail down from $9 to $7. THANKS FYI: my check was over $80 for breakfast, so we were obviously not economizing... under the circumstances, it seemed really petty and pretty rude for no reason. Still baffled about the whole thing... Just going to throw it out here that you can make a couple of gallons of Bloody Mary mix for $9, if you choose to make it homemade...? Why would you - as a reason to overcharge someone - admit to using crap from the grocery store? Related: my food was not good. I ordered crab cakes and they were inedible. Went twice on a Friday and Sunday Morning. Friday the place wasn't as busy as it has been on the weekends. The food was delicious! I ordered the egg white omelette with goat cheese & veggies with a side of tots and fruit. My friend ordered blueberry muffin toasted on grill, sunny side up eggs(cooked perfectly) with bacon & toast. Everything served nice and hot. Weekend: Be prepared for a wait! Well here we are again with yet another disappointment. So, I have heard good things from people and I was so excited to try this place. We ordered the Irish Benedict, Country Benedict and The Bomblette. Lets start with the positive - the waitress was nice and attentive. Ok well that is all for that section now lets get to the nitty gritty. The bench seats in the booths were ripped and it was semi clean. The food itself was horrible. The Irish bennie looked as if they opened a can of dog food and threw an egg and a yelloow sauce over it. It sure as hell didn't look or have the texture of hollandaise so lets leave it at yellow sauce. The country bennie also was gross - the sausage was just ok nothing special and the sausage gravy i think came from a can from World War 2 maybe 1. All I could taste was a tinny flavor. The bomblette was mediocre at best and the veggies needed to be cooked a little more. I cant tell you about the coffee because i don't drink it but I can tell you DO NOTTTT order the chocolate milk.
