Country Breakfast

The weekday morning service (5am) is really good and friendly. Weekends service not so great. I pretty much got yelled at when I arrived while other patrons received a nice, Good Morning, take a seat anywhere you like. Nina, with her exceptional friendly service on weekday morning was always friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent everyday though. I would highly recommend for early morning breakfast. I visited 6 days in two weeks. Everything was delicious and prepared well. Ambiance is your traditional American diner. Clean place

We have been to the Nashua Yolk plenty of times but today we decided to try the original location and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and came out relatively quickly. The only thing we were disappointed in was the children running around the restaurant that belonged to a staff member. While I understand it can be hard to find care I also don't think it is ok to let them run around and cause chaos. A table nearby was also put off by it because their children kept trying to join the chaos. Unfortunately it did distract from the meal and our overall enjoyment.

I was drawn to this restaurant by a great Phantom Gourmet review. And this Bloody Mary certainly grabbed my attention. Next time, I will have to get one of the milkshakes. Great menu variety, nice staff, good food & fairly quick seating during prime breakfast hours.

I found this place while avoiding a wedding party while staying in Salem, NH lol .... It's in a city called Pelham. I was greeted immediately at 6am in the morning by a cheerful lady. There was already a few people in dining and glad I came when I did because it started to fill up. I had the country fried steak and eggs and it was as good as it could be as most places I have had this for breakfast comes from a freezer. I'm not sure if this is the case here but it sure was better than others. It came with delicious tots and perfectly cooked eggs. The place is super clean and the service was really good. Lots of parking as well. If I ever go back to the area I will eat here again.

I take my breakfast very seriously and never stray from my 2 favorite diners because I hate being disappointed. After seeing many positive reviews on this place, decided to make the leap and WOW. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Huge menu, huge portions, low prices. The food and drinks (many alcoholic options) both absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress was friendly, speedy, and really seemed to advocate the love for the environment she works in. Can't wait to go back!

UPDATE: I tried the Steak and cheese again. Firstly, I called in my order and the girl that answered the phone was distracted and laughing- couldn't get my name right. I almost felt like she was doing it on purpose. She kept calling me jack and my name sounds nothing like that. She kept giggling. The sub was expensive, top dollar for a sub, even compared to downtown Boston. I opened up the sub and to my surprise- it wasn't cut in half and I was on the road with no knife. Imagine eating a large sub in it's entirety instead of a manageable half. Now imagine a complete large sub that's bending while you hold it and as you are trying to bite it cleanly the steak has not been completely chopped up and it's got chewy gristle pieces that pull more steak out of the sub as you are eating it. The steak was low quality with gristly strings that chewed like bubblegum. I asked for extra cheese- totally dry on the top with some cheese on the bun side. The key to a perfect steak and cheese is the cheese distribution and tender steak without any gristly bits. This $18+ sub was a complete failure. Overall, I will not be visiting again. This place has low standards for their food and their employees but they charge top dollar. Poor leadership really shines through here. You can let a bunch of kids horse around in your sub shop but sooner or later it will cost the owners their business. They got to have fun and laugh but in the end the owners will cry. I really wanted to like this place, it reminded me of the good days when food was delicious and real but alas, the good old days are gone and they are never coming back. Everything has been cheapened to the max and profits are maximized.

This ownership previously operated another pizza shop (Prime) in East Hampstead a few years ago, but sold it. This Niko's is not connected to Niko's in Salisbury MA. The place is casual which is order at the counter with inside seating. The menu offers traditional & specialty pizzas, hot & cold subs, pasta dishes, fried foods, chicken wings & fingers, salads, roast beef sandwiches, gyros, steak tips, stir fry chicken, grilled chicken, small treats, and cooler drinks. The pricing seems fair. I stopped by Niko's Pizza & Roast Beef in Pelham for dinner takeout recently. I ordered the 12" Philly Steak & Cheese Pizza ($16.50 plus tax) and a Jr. Roast Beef with cheese, BBQ sauce, mayo, & horseradish ($9.75 plus tax). My order was all set to go in 18 minutes. I actually ate some of the pizza hot out of the oven with the Jr. Roast Beef in their seating area. The pizza was really stuffed into the box, which expanded to 12.5" × 13". The crust was a bit overdone, which was dry & crunch outside with thicker edge crust, softer inside, topped with shaved steak, peppers, onions, provolone cheese, oil & no sauce. Some ketchup for dipping this pizza helped when I got home. I also enjoyed Phily Cheese Steak Pizza the night before from another new pizza shop in NH, which also had American cheese (instead of provolone), mushrooms, sweet pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese in addition to what I had at Niko's. The Jr. Roast Beef was loaded with plenty of James River BBQ sauce, mayo, rare roast beef, cheese, & horseradish on a soft hamburger bun. This roast beef was a pretty good and tasty version of a smaller NS MA roast beef plus horseradish. I would come back here if I'm already in the vicinity. I would probably order the super beef 3-way and a pasta dish next time and pass on the pizza. 3.6/5.0

Usually it is not a problem, but I have had instances there the receipt said NO Hamburg, yet it had Hamburg - I lived with it but the taste is different. Last month I ordered my usual and she asked instead of Hamburg, would I like something else in place of it? I asked if there was an extra charge and that was a No, so yes, I would like black olives. No problem, pizza cost the same. Today, knowing that I could get olives vs. Hamburg, I ordered the same thing and asked for the substitution. Not a problem, but the cost was more than usual - and I noted that and he said that they price had gone up. When I got home, I can see that I was charged for the Olives (there was no hamburg, so they got that right). So this time I was charged. I dont want to have to keep asking whether I will get charged for that change. The Hamburg costs more than the Olives...I had been ordering the Deluxe w/o Hamburg for years and was thrilled I could get Olives instead. The price of the pizza, with this change, has gotten to be too high and I resent the fact that I have to pay more at times depending on who takes the order. So I will be getting my pizzas now from two diff place in Methuen, which is actually far closer than driving up into NH for a pizza. :-(
