I was biking on the Bruce Freeman Trail and wanted to grab a bite for lunch. Somehow I landed here! Star Cafe is located in a small strip mall on a main road, so it's not exactly the prettiest location. The interior seems a bit dated, but let's be honest, this is the type of place you go to for the food. The prices seemed pretty cheap. I went with the Mega Sandwich, which while delicious, wasn't exactly what I'd call mega. There was a lot in it, but the sandwich itself wasn't huge. I've had takeout at Star Cafe a couple times, and both times were great--the food itself (the bacon benedicts and homefries), prices (probably among the most reasonable in the area), and friendly service. As always, the food can be great, but I think what really earns that extra star is the service. Star Cafe was a surprise for me. I have lived in the Lowell area for 5 years and never heard about it. We went for lunch and everything was delicious. The food came out really hot and fresh. I loved the lemonade. We got breakfast items and the prices were not too bad. Service was nice and prompt. The only thing was that the AC was not working and it was a 90 degree day. Parking can be a little tricky because the lot fills up fast from the other businesses. Would also go back for take out and to try lunch items. read more

This place is amazing! Food is delicious and I don't have any pictures because it was that good my family couldn't wait to eat! It was gone in under 10 minutes. I did a take out order of two egg dishes scrambled with sausage and bacon and home fries and toast and it was cooked perfect! I always try and find bagels and have them grilled and they did that and so good! Let's not forget the staff... they were outstanding and very nice and kind and order was ready for pick up in 10 minutes. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Found my new breakfast place that's only 2 minutes from home. The overall quality and experience was a 10/10. The food was perfection! I'll def be going back and highly recommend! read more

I gave Star Cafe a second chance and totally regret it. The first time I ordered, the food took forever to arrive and showed up soggy. I decided to try again (mistake), but ended up canceling the order -- and they still charged me anyway. Uber Eats didn't do a thing about it. Surprised how cheap the sandwich was. It was only $4.50 for the egg and cheese croissant! The veggie burger was okay, it keep falling apart with every bite. The mango habanero sauce was good to dip the fries with. :) fries were a little soggy. read more

I dont write many reviews - most places are middling at best - but i had to write one for here. Their food was fantastic (and I only got delivery - bet it's better in person). Bacon crispy, homefries crispy and well seasoned and they actually did eggs over medium properly (not overcooked - like most places). Our omelettes tasted like home-made using 3 eggs with assorted ham, cheese and vegetables. The home fries were crispy and done well. The coffee was freshly brewed and was filled attentively by our waitress. We will try other breakfast items for next time. Takeout orders are also provided. read more

Wasn't really sure if I should order the breakfast I was looking for when I walked in. Star Cafe resembles more of a sub shop or a lunch cafe. I'm glad I didn't let that stop me from ordering from the breakfast menu. I ordered pancakes (ordered by the number of) 2 was fine for me, along with some home fries. I have to say I wish this place was closer to where I live. The pancakes were some of the best I've had. They were light, fluffy and had a hint of vanilla flavor. The service was terrific, speedy and friendly. The prices were appropriate. My only disappointment was the brand of ketchup they have. I can't remember the name just that it wasn't Heinz.
