I understand being understaffed but waiting 25 minutes to order and then getting ice cold eggs over easy, cold toast and baked beans that were not only cold but swimming in watery juice was not worth the additional 20 minutes for it to come out. read more

I like to support small, local businesses in the city, especially since we live in the neighborhood, so I wanted to give this café a try. My niece and I went there for brunch on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025. We arrived at 10:40 AM and were seated right away. While the café was busy, it wasn't packed--there were still a few open tables. I wasn't aware that the café was under new management. Our waitress brought us menus, which were noticeably old and dirty. She also took our drink orders, and we placed our food order about five minutes later. She did let us know that there might be a bit of a wait for the food, which we thought was reasonable--maybe 30 minutes or so. We didn't mind, as we were catching up and enjoying our time together. However, 30 minutes passed, then 45, and still no food. We noticed that other guests who arrived around the same time were also waiting and expressing frustration about the long wait. We didn't receive our food until 11:45 AM--over an hour after we arrived--and unfortunately, it was not worth the wait. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and the poached eggs were overcooked. The hollandaise sauce was cold. My niece ordered a spinach, bacon, and cheese omelet, which was equally underwhelming. Overall, I was very disappointed with the experience and won't be returning to this café. read more

We have been regulars for years but lately the service and the food have gone down hill. In our visits over the last several months, staff have seemed more focused on doordash takeout orders than dine-in customers - letting food sit on the counter and ignoring tables asking for checks and orders, etc while they pack bags to go. It can now take 30-45 minutes (and going to the counter to flag a server) to get food and on our most recent visit, a loud alarm went off constantly announcing changes to doordash orders. Sadly the food quality has also gone hill; lately we have gotten hard poached eggs, cold potatoes, and sour pancakes. We loved this place but will look for somewhere new until things improve. read more

i was staying at doubletree inn and ordered pancakes for my grandkids...they arrived no butter no syrup no utensils, and the pancakes that we ate dry had a funny taste almost like vinegar. the bacon was way over cooked too..my husbands breakfast sandwich was ok..but he had no fork to eat with his homefries with . needless to say the 3 pancakes and bacon meals went in the trash. 30 bucks down the drain. read more

My new go-to breakfast place! Discovered it three days ago & went twice in three days. Unassuming and kind of hidden in a residential neighborhood, but with their own large parking lot across the street. Silvana my waitress was delightful and accommodated my request for hot milk for my coffee. (Some servers roll their eyes at other places.) I ordered the same thing both times, the Country Skillet, with over medium eggs & rye toast. The dish is a classic and expertly prepared. It is so good that I'm gonna drive the 45 minutes tomorrow to go have it again! read more

Vegetable skillet was great. Blueberry pancake was average- sort of tasted like burnt sausage or some other meat from the griddle. But everything else was great. It's a simple, small diner. Service was a little slow. Went on a weekday morning and there was one waitress. A man sitting next to me got frustrated and left after being ignored by the waitress 3 times - while trying to get her attention. She may not have heard him. I personally didn't have issues with my service. I waited until she wasn't clearly busy before asking for the check. Will go back again- as I really liked the breakfast item selection/options. I stopped in here after an appointment in the area and I'm thrilled I did! I ordered ahead and got the timing a little off, and the waitresses were so kind and concerned when I finally arrived, and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my food even though it has been sitting for a bit. I got the veggie skillet, so just heated up the veggies when I got home and re-topped it with the eggs. This might be the best breakfast takeout meal I've ever had. The veggies were delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly, and covered with just the right amount of cheese. The eggs were fresh and cooked exactly how I like! I'm sad I don't live closer but this will definitely be my go-to spot when I'm in the area. read more

The quality of food at this establishment was excellent. It was plenteous and delicious. However, the Cafes menu policies need a great deal of improvement. I ordered a veggie omelet for $10.95 (the quoted price) which included toast and a cup of coffee. However, when I got the bill it was for $19.85. When I asked about the extra charges I was told that you could only choose three vegetables for your omelette (which in all honesty WAS stated on their menu). Each additional vegetable was $1.00 each. The waitress never asked me which three vegetables I wanted and just assumed I was paying for all the vegetable choices. Then I was charged $.25 for the toast. It was explained that only certain breads were included. Again, this was never explained by the waitress. In addition, I was charged $.75 for cheese. What omelette comes without cheese? Once more, left out information. To top it all off I was charged an additional amount for using a credit card instead of cash. I have never had a restaurant do this (or any of these things actually) before. It comes across as deceptive and price gouging. My recommendation: find a more honest place to dine. Otherwise make sure you thoroughly read the menu,ask questions and carefully examine your bill if you feel the food is worth it. And by all means make sure you pay cash. As a side note: after complaining about their unethical practices they did adjust my bill somewhat. Still, although the food left a good taste in my mouth their policies did not. For that reason I will not be returning nor will I recommend them to others. read more

Was there for breakfast this morning. Waited a short time for a table. All good. Ordered our two breakfast's @10:20am. By 11:10 I asked waitress (who btw should never be a waitress!! So bad!!) and asked the cooks. Never came back to tell us. So I waited a few moments and I asked her. She said ooh they never got your order. Not a sorry nothing. And the owners saw us leave. A wonderful neighborhood diner to grab a satisfying breakfast! My boyfriend and I live nearby and came around 11am on a Sunday. The place was bustlin'! There is definitely a morning rush - but rest assure that the service here is fast! We ended up ordering a mix of corned beef hash, hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausages, french toast, and pancakes. Everything was really satisfying and generous. I am always a fan of corned beef hash and felt pretty happy with their home style version. We also loved both the french toast and the pancakes. The french toast was rich and satisfying, without feeling too heavy. And the pancakes masterfully nailed the fluff factor! By the end of the meal, we were both completely STUFFED and ready for a happy food coma. Definitely recommend for a hearty start to the day! read more

I was there on October 25, 2023 I was very disappointed. My omelette was paper thin and didn't have much taste, considering there were peppers, onions and cheese in it. The home fries I had Seem to be a day, old and reheated. I had trouble even putting my fork in them to pick them up. They were very rubbery. to me it was a waste of $20. I was in town for a few days and came here for breakfast one morning after reading the other online reviews and had high hopes. Most of my hopes were met. The food was really good. Tasty food with a wide selection of options, like woah so many options. I originally asked for a side of oatmeal, but they were out, so I got a bagel instead and it was the biggest bagel I'd ever seen. I could've used this bagel as the captain America shield and won WWII. The protein wrap was very delicious, except it was dripping in what I think was grease from the cheese. And when I say dripping, I mean swimming. I was a little worried for its safety, but then I ate it. The fruit bowl was good as well. Only downside was the servers. I interacted with two and both seemed disinterested and a bit snippy. I get that way too before I've had my morning coffee, but y'all work at a breakfast place so the coffee is right there, grab a cup and pick yo self up. I never had to ask for a refill and our food come out quickly and hot, but there was no "bedside manner" as it were. I mean I'd just woken up, I still had my covers on and was basically still in bed so were was that manner. I'm not normally one to complain, but I notice when my servers have a sour attitude. Also, there was no obvious public restroom. Parking was easy though. read more

I consider myself somewhat of a pancake connoisseur. Been to lots of diners and they never get it just right. Too many blueberries, too few... Sometimes they aren't cooked well in the middle, still battery, yuck. Not at the Corner Cafe. They have the best blueberry pancakes I have ever had and I'll be going back for many more. This sweet little cafe has changed ownership but the food is exactly the same. We were just there today. I ordered the Cali Girl Burger. Good Lord!!! For anyone who has ever experienced In-N -Out Burger, this Cali Girl Burger is neck & neck with In-N-Out. Bacon, melted cheese, mushrooms, chilled lettuce and tomato, 1/2 an avocado, and a perfectly cooked tasty burger. You cannot bite the whole burder. You eat it like you would eat an elephant. A little at a time. It really is perfection. And you can get a perfectly grilled chicken breast instead of the patty, if you prefer. And the fries! You don't get a dump truck size pile of fries, but rather a perfect amount to compliment this incredible burger. See photos. And the fries are perfectly done. Delightfully light and crispy on the outside and soft, potatoey, and delectable on the inside. If I can post photos here I will. The staff is incredible. Fernanda is an excellent server. We were on our way to Maine from CT on Rt 495 and were looking for someplace for lunch on a Sunday took the exit for Lowell. After a few turns we came up this restaurant and it seemed busy so we stopped. There is a good size parking lot across the street where we parked. Most people were having breakfast but we settled on a turkey club that we fortunately shared since it was quite large and was accompanied by french fries.
