They were surrounded by booths and tables for a classic diner look. I looked at the prices online so I was shocked that they were almost double. That said, they still weren't outrageous. I ordered the avocado turkey wrap, which arrived within a few minutes. The lettuce was on the bitter side and they were out of tomatoes, but overall a good bite. The fries were hot with a slightly crisp edges. $16.25 for the meal before tax and tip. They only serve breakfast on weekends, which would warrant another visit. read more

Stopped in for Sat brunch before an event at Tsongas. Easy street parking- within walking distance of Tsongas. It was busy when I arrived but they turned tables over quickly. Many locals were dining there. My server was friendly and attentive. The eggs Benedict was good- not skins the best but tasty and eggs were cooked perfectly. Potatoes were flavorful and crispy. stopped in here for brunch on a Saturday. We sat by the window booth. We were greeted by a friendly waitress. We ordered a couple chocolate chip pancakes, Western omelette, corned beef hash Benedict, coffee, and tea. The omelette and Benedict came with home fries. The pancakes were fluffy and filled with chocolate chips, they were incredible. The corn beef hash Benedict was one of the best I've had . Heard Gormley's had moved & was inspired to check out the new, bigger space by a FB photo of the sun rising over the beautiful Golden Dome of the Greek Church in Lowell. On Market Street, on the block up by City Hall. Met Karen, a long time friend, who works downtown, for lunch. Parking is on street, with metered parking (something I HATE about Lowell). PRO- Really, sunny, airy & cute inside. Booths & tables, Lowell inspired art on the walls, industrial looking with the open pipes on the ceiling. I liked it alot. We both ordered sandwiches with Karen getting a Club & I a Greek Chicken wrap. Karen's Club was huge! She really enjoyed it. My sandwich was good, would have been WAY better if they'd heated the chicken up though. But lots of fresh, crispy spinach & lettuce, with Feta & dressing made it really tasty. AND THE FRIES!! Those HOMEMADE, HANDCUT FRIES!! YES!! No crappy bagged fries here. They were TERRIFIC. Our waitress was nice, kept a good eye on us too, refilled our drinks as needed. CON- The aforementioned metered parking. Not Gormley's fault at all. But I think it discourages people to go eat in the city. Walk to the meter down the block in the winter, half the time the pay stations don't work, find next one, pay & walk all the way back. Hurts your business's Lowell, just saying. If you're looking for a big, delicious home style breakfast, this is the place! Honestly, kudos to the cook. It's been a very long time since I've eaten a breakfast like this and I've missed it. I'm glad I chose this place to come for the first time in years! The eggs were perfectly cooked in my omelet and the fillings were cooked just enough without being overdone. The toast was simple, but a perfect touch tot he dish. But the best item in my opinion.. the home fries. I've never been a huge fan of home fries, but I could eat a plate of these on their own, they were that good!! Aside from the food, the staff was super helpful and friendly! Attentive, patient, kind. And the atmosphere was super cozy. It's the perfect small town diner. The only thing I could say as a downside is that the tables are a little small, but that can hardly be a complaint. And as a personal icing on the cake.. they have mixed fruit jelly!! That was my favorite thing as a kid and I haven't seen them in FOREVER! So to see them here was such a nice, nostalgic thing! I have lived in Lowell for a while, granted on the other side of town, and had no idea that someone actually had a full Irish Breakfast outside the month of March. I found Gormley's on Yelp a couple of weeks ago... and made the time to salute Eire... and my stomach. This did not disappoint. Friendly service from all, and a delicious breakfast. Eggs perfect, brown bread was flaky without falling apart and all the meats-- the whole reason for getting an Irish breakfast-- were all spot on. Puddings were delicious. And they have the Irish brown sauce too-- nice touch. Large breakfast, but not too large-- for me at least. I noticed that the menu also includes a smaller portion. This is all reasonably priced for a cultural gem. I came alone this time, but there are plenty of options here for the bride and kids too. I'll be back. read more

By far my most favorite spot to have breakfast in the city. Very cozy spot with great food. The specials that you can find here are amazing as well as the standard menu. You can tell that they take pride in what they do, it shines through in the plate of food that get put in front of you. I love that they use a lot of local ingredients and they support other small businesses in the community, for instance you will always find a bread made by Purple Carrot Bread Co. on the specials board. It's not often I get asked if I want 10 kinds of hot sauce for my eggs! I had the freshest veggie omelet, great conversation and the best local tourist finds from the owner herself. A career restaurant manager she told me that she bought the restaurant fairly recently. I'm coming back here for sure!! This review is for breakfast on 10/31/17. I've been hearing a lot about this Cafe from friends, so I know I had to come and try it for myself. I went in with a friend and she ordered the Gormley's sandwich with bacon (similar to a Boott Mill) and I ordered two eggs, bacon, toast, and home fries. I wanted to try the corned beef hash (my true test of a diner), but unfortunately they were sold out. If I could have the home fries every day without any negative health repercussions, I would! They were the best home fries I have had in a long time. Perfectly crispy and well seasoned, I only wish they gave more (although my waistline is happy they did not). Everything else was what I expected, over easy eggs were nice and runny, bacon was crisp, and the toast was toasted. I had ordered wheat, but I wish they had a more wholesome wheat bread offering. Otherwise, the customer service was fabulous and parking wasn't too bad at 10:30 AM on a Tuesday morning. Solid choice for breakfast if you're in the area! read more

Visited Gormley's cafe on a weekday and we walked in with no waiting for our morning breakfast. Parking wasn't too bad, but we had to walk a few blocks to find parking with a meter near downtown Lowell. Ordered the pancakes and they served them with real maple syrup than the fake stuff while my wife had the omelette. Service was attentive and friendly. I've judged a good breakfast place with good strong and rich flavored coffee and they meet my criteria. Pricing was also reasonable and I will return to try out their other items on the menu. read more

This is a small breakfast lunch place that recently changed hands. The chef makes excellent soups. I understand breakfasts are good but I haven't tried it. Went for my first visit on a weekday and we were immediately greeted with a nice hostess and plenty of seating options. Felt very welcoming! Got an iced coffee that also comes with simple syrup on the side. I ordered an egg plate with corned beef hash, wheat toast, and home fries. Their corned beef hash is definitely unique and tastes good. The portions are more than enough and you get to see the food being freshly cooked right in front of you. Price is great for the portions and the freshly made food. I would go back simply because of how wonderful the wait staff treated us, and to eat more corned beef hash! read more

After my weekly high school football coach of the week presentation, Dracut high school head Jason Rivers, we looked in Dracut near the HS but nothing was open. So as we were heading back to the highway, we saw Gormley's Cafe had a very nice rating.. Comfort food is always our go to meal and they lived up to the rating.. I had the vegetable egg white omelet, my buddy had an egg omelet also we split an order of kielbasa and hash.. the coffee was amazing..
