What a wonderful surprise here! Came in before a hockey game and was wonderfully surprised. Super cute, awesome bar, fabulous drink menu AND incredible drink makers. In town to move our daughter during a winter storm. We went to a different place and they had a 40 minute wait, so we called here. The hostess answered the phone and gave us advice to not park out front. This was just the first of a great customer service experience. Chris our waiter was amazing as well. The location was warm and rustic with brick and beams. There is a band coming this evening. The location really started to pick up around 7pm. Good amount of different beers on tap and mixed drinks. We ordered appetizers, Fried pickles(real homemade pickles) and Buffalo cauliflower(meaty and delicious). For dinner, Liv got the Warp burger, Amanda the Reuben, and I got the Cuban. Went to hear a friend's band. Place was packed, people were friendly and staff were ready! Sat at the bar where both bartenders were very nice and good at their jobs. Drinks here are fine. The apps we got were also great. Fried pickles very crispy and the shrimp was great too. The gyros here are garbage. They're a mushy mess of sauce and way to much cheese. The wrap was doughy and it was just a mouth full of mush. Add to that a bone was in the meat in the second half and the last bite of the first half I got a nice long hair inside. Went last night before a show at the auditorium. Had the Cilantro Lime Tacos with chicken and the Blackened Salmon sandwich. Both were very, very good and would definitely order again. First time at this establishment. We arrived around 6:30pm. It was a fun atmosphere and it was busy. We missed out on the band as they were almost finished setting up as we were leaving (about 8:30). The drinks were as expected and came out timely. The food was good but slow to come out. The cowboy burger (asked for medium and came out medium rare but was tasty) really the only reasons not to give them a 5. We ended up here since we were in Lowell for a few hours before an event, and most of the Cambodian and other places downtown close after business hours. I would definitely go again if in the area. Service was good, friendly-but not over-the-top, which was nice. There is an extensive drink menu of fun drinks with herbs and berries and whatnot. It was my wife's and Mine's first visit to Warp and Weft. My wife spending the majority of her life living in Lowell and my self having attended the University Of Massachusetts: Lowell, Well you can see that this city holds a special place in our hearts. Warp and Weft is exactly what you expect in a New age lowell bar. It's has the "old Mill" look that so many of the building in Lowell do. This is a homage to lowell history. Never a bad idea to forget your roots. Plus, the wood and real brick add a classic look that everyone loves. First, the meal we had was brunch. I should just end the review here. Yes, they have brunch. Amazing! Right. A small menu but for me that is idea. Working on mastering a few items. Quality over quantity. The Eggs Benedict looked incredible. (Offered in a few options - including Nova Scotia style). However, I decided to mixed it up. I got the mediterranean wrap. It was great! Served with fries. Fresh naan wrap with crunchy veggies inside with a light yogurt sauce. Incredible. As always, I ordered the Old fashion. Came in a whiskey glass- check Large single ice club - check Perfectly spiced - failed. That was my only issues with the drink. It could have used a little more spice. In my option. Bumped into who I think was the owner today at the grocery store. I was standing behind him as he was picking out ground beef, he stopped and asked me, are you looking to buy ground beef? And I said yes, my kids asked for tacos, it's taco Tuesday. He told me to grab some, and I jokingly asked, why are you gonna buy it all? And he said yes. Lol. He told me he owned a restaurant. Covid has been really hard for everyone and this small kind gesture from him meant a lot. Thank you for letting my kids have taco night tonight. So glad my friends and I picked this spot for some dinner and drinks! First thing we noticed is the ambiance is super nice. We ordered some apps and drinks to start. They have a ton of vegetarian/vegan options... not so many gluten free ones so unfortunately, I gave in to gluten. We ordered some buffalo cauliflower (buffalo sauce made in house) , fried pickles, and avocado fries. Everything was excellent! I've had better fried pickles elsewhere, but still good. My friend got the impossible burger and said it was good. The fries looked super crispy!!! Our server was very friendly and attentive, and came back multiple times to check on us. A tinder date suggested the Warp and Weft and I have to admit I was impressed. First by the fact that a guy on tinder suggests anything at all these days. I feel like I'm always the one logging onto yelp, reading reviews on places that are geographically triaged to be in between me and whoever. Making suggestions. Wearing the fucking pants! Shot caller more than baller. So yes, to suggest any shithole is commendable. The Warp and Weft is classy! Even the name is so cool. I had to look up what it meant and it has to do with weaving. So old English. gush* It's new, GORGEOUSLY decorated. Kind of like bronzy and brassy with cool steam punk feeling lights and black graffitti Mexican skull art. They have food. They have drinks. They have a bar to sit on. It's tinder date heaven. They had a guy performing live and it wasn't too loud! So impressive. I wish they didn't have plastic straws though. It's bad for the environment and so unnecessary. We can use our mouths to suck liquid into our gauntlet without the assistance of plastic, it's one of the very primal things we are equipped to do. I would opt for the beer or maybe a mixed drink over the wine. The wine pours look paltry and if you drink wine like me, you'd be broke by the end of the night. read more

Small and cozy place - super nice ambience. Could be date night, could be girls night out. We went on a busy, super busy afternoon. We were watching 4 local bands. They were swamped with people standing. Service was with a smile the whole time and on demand. Food was surprisingly amazing comfort food!! We had the crispy shrimp for appetizer. Entree - fish and chips was yummy and flaky, chicken/spinach dish was stewy goodness, and the gnocchi was just delicious. We also ordered onion rings that were comfort food heaven. I love that Lowell is getting restaurants like Warp and Weft. It has a great selection of beer and a solid menu. I went in and ordered the farmers sandwich and it was delicious. I loved the oregano truffle aioli that came with it and asked for extra on the side. The sweet potato fries were well seasoned. I also got the cheese board which came with honey almonds and a blueberry jam. The honey almonds were cold, which I was expecting to be warm, but it was yummy nonetheless. I also appreciated how the restaurant gives back to the local community by taking donations and tacking them to the ceiling. Every so often, they'll pick a new charity to donate to. This is one of the newer spots in Lowell and I hope it's one to stay. read more

My husband and I visited W&W this past Saturday night. We have never been here and not familiar with Lowell either. At first, we were very impressed with the vibe, music, the special board. We found two seats at the bar and ordered drinks from the male bartender (one of three working). We also ordered the Poutine appetizer special. We later learned that the numbering countdown chalk system on the special board was how many orders where left in the kitchen. After almost 45 minutes and the Poutine appetizer was erased from the board did we ask if our order had made it in time before being sold out. Magically, our Poutine arrived. The two female bartenders were completely unattentive to our drinks or food. We asked if we could order dinner. My husband chose the Brussel Sprout salad from the menu and I ordered the Shepards pie. 15 minutes later, we were told the Brussel Sprouts salad was also sold out (regular menu item), so my husband chose the BBQ Chicken entree. I have to say the Poutine appetizer was tasty and we would order it again. BUT, that was it. The entrees were beyond terrible. My Shepards Pie had a very small amount of tinys bits of beef and filled mostly with pearl onions. My husbands BBQ sliced chicken was unappealing and saturated in bbq sauce. I made a comment to the female bartender about how my Shepards pie was so disappointing and I was ignored. So much so that even after we asked for the check, paid the tab, the bartender left the dish in front of me just not to deal with how unhappy she knew I was. I did mention to the host that we were extremely disappointed in the food and service. He said the manager, Craig, was downstairs but if we wanted to wait, he should be back in the restaurant in 10 min. No thanks...I told him if he also didnt think my unhappiness warranted someone to address it, I would let YELP know. read more

Came here for Sunday brunch. The eggs benedict were on point with great hollandaise and running yolks. The home fries are crisp and Cajun seasoned - highly recommended. The bellinis are stellar. The draft list is extensive and diverse. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. He always made sure our drinks were full and the service was speedy. Finally got to try out Warp & Weft. The staff was friendly and attentive while being totally chill at the same time. The space is very cool and it's got a great vibe. We started off with a beer and possibly the best cocktail I've had in a while - This Must Be the Place...such a delicious mixture of gin, lime, cucumber, mint, and elderflower. So yummy! We got a delicious brussels sprout salad (with a great soy and ginger dressing - nice little kick to it), the BBQ chicken plate, and the paella. There were 2 bands playing this night, so we showed up early to have dinner. Our server was MAGNIFICENT! However, the menu (and our food) is ok. Better than standard bar fare, but not really a restaurant menu. The burger looked popular. The reason for 3 stars - the place is REALLY NOISY (prior to bands). Tonight's experience was totally different from my last one. It was a busy hopping night. Had to wait a bit for a table and had a fairly long wait for our ordered meals to come out of the kitchen. None of this was a huge issue for me. Places do get busy. The server was a little bit absent(let our water run out) but did a reasonable job. The problem I had was the food. I was here a while back and I had an excellent meal here so I know what they used to be capable of. We were a party of 5 people. Of the 3 burgers we ordered, only one of them was cooked close to medium rare as ordered. The other two were well done. Two were cowboy burgers. The bacon was burned. The rolls were burned. I never saw an onion ring in mine. My burger was also quite small and looked like it had a chunk taken out of it. Both Cowboy burgers came with fries however I got very few fries in comparison to my son who ordered the same meal. The 3rd burger was a warp burger. The shape of the burger was crazy. Like someone ripped the burger open as it cooked and twisted it. Sort of a butterfly shape. Again. Looking like a chunk was taken out of it as it was so misshapen. The person who had this burger didn't eat it. She said the texture of the burger was off and it didn't taste good. Two of the people in our party ordered the salmon sandwich. One person said the salmon was not fresh(this was not different from the last visit actually) but worst still, was overcooked and crunchy. The 2nd person who ordered the salmon never touched her meal so we boxed it up. She was feeling ill(not related to the restaurant or the meal). Another problem were the fries. They tasted like fish. No idea why. Probably use the same oil to cook the fish and chips and haven't changed it recently. Just a bad practice regardless. Honestly, had this not been a birthday celebration, food would have been sent back. But no one wanted to make a fuss. It's just a huge disappointment that we had such wonderful food last time we were here. On this visit the food was terrible(most of it preparation errors). I have no doubt we will come back here some day to find out if it was just a bad night but I'm in no hurry. Lowell has no shortage of excellent restaurants. I'm actually sad this place did such a bad job because we loved it so much during our previous visit. I can't get over how badly this place went downhill. I want to recommend this restaurant to people, but i just can't now. There was so much wrong. read more

BRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH! Also TRIVIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I've had a few brunches here. They have eggs benedict with salmon. Also an eggs benedict called the Craig's Benedict. This was the answer to a trivia question. In addition, the drinks are great too. The bartenders are really good. Oh, and they have trivia on Wednesdays which is fun. In general, in a town with only a few good options for late-night goodness, this is probably the best place to go to get all the good things, like brunch and trivia. Also also they just got a new chef. The menu has switched up a bit (they now have ceviche!) They don't have a TV, so unfortunately if you're looking for a place to watch the game that's not going to work, but otherwise this is an amazing place with amazing food and amazing drinks and amazing people. New update to a bar that has seen many things over the years. Nice decor, hip style and aimed at upscale clients. Menu is small but has some interesting items... fried sage leaves??? Not sure what those are! Really could use pictures! Staff was very friendly and attentive but they were busy at 6pm on a Thursday. Ordered 3 apps... Olives off the menu and Stuffed dates & cheese board all were good. Decent beer and wine list. Tried the Chai Pale which was house infused chai vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and soda. This is our favorite date-night spot in Lowell. We love to come and hear the live music, and the food is so good. My husband and I are both vegetarian, and we have no trouble eating off this menu. Good selection of beer. The atmosphere was pleasant and our server was lovely. We chose dinner entree over sandwiches/burgers. I had the Vegetable Curry and was VERY surprised about the super small portion. The bed of rice was fine, although the included red quinoa would have been better if it was cooked. The amount of cauliflower, green pepper, peas, and tofu on top was that of a side dish. Veggies are cheap--this meal could have used many more of them & left me hungry. The husband's Chicken Saltimbocca was a better portion with the ravioli. If we go back it will be for burgers and beer.
