I really enjoyed my experience at Stir. It's nice and spacious there. I got to try the espresso martini and it was good! The presentation of the drinks were on point. The pastas were delicious! Our waiter was attentive. I'd definitely go again.

Beet Salad

Today my girlfriend and I went to Stir for the first time. Loved the modern atmosphere and the fact that there was not one single t.v. in sight!! I had the white sangria which was delicious, sometimes they aren't sweet enough for me, but this one was perfect. My friend had a glass of white wine and we started with some dumplings as an app which were very tasty. I had the Caesar Salad with chicken and my friend had the Beet Salad with a side of French Fries. We were very pleased. Our server SK was very attentive and friendly. At the end of the meal she brought us a small taste of their homemade Limoncello. It was creamy and delicious. I had never had Limoncello like that before. I would highly recommend Stir and I will be back for dinner with my husband. So happy to find a new place to go for dinner in the area.

Lavender Lemonade Mocktail...yum!

Had a wonderful meal here with fantastic service! We did a series of appetizers..the brussel sprouts being among the tastiest of all. The dumplings were also quite good! Had the Lavender Lemonade mocktail which was truly refreshing and really flavorful. We arrived early, around 5 and by the time we left almost every single table was full. This is a gem of a place and I hope to return!! Cool vibe as well.

The espresso martini was good!

I'm going to go with a solid 2. Service was meh. Food was meh. Espresso martini good! My husband ordered the short rib skillet, which was amazing as always. I ordered the pork tenderloin, which I thought was overcooked and dry. Service was slow. Always pleasant but not frequent. I have been here 4 times since the location has moved...the service has been consistent and same quality. I probably won't be back. Owners, please note that I never had negative reviews about the previous location.

Strawberry lemon drop

The entire evening went amazing. We made a reservation and were seated almost immediately after we got there. We tried the specialty martini as well as the strawberry lemon drop. They were delicious as well as the food. We only got apps. We tried the truffle fries, stir dip trio, and the arancini bites. The service was amazing. Chelsea and Fiona took really good care of us

The feedback on Yelp is binary with many 5 stars and a healthy number of 1 star ratings. My rating is a function of service and a high price point for an average product. It is Boston pricing without distinction. It should be exceptional. I simply don't understand the hype around this restaurant. Dark is the decor with a minimalist approach to design. It is noisy yet void of high quality sound. Most of all, the service was challenging. For the price point, it didn't hit the bar. The server wasn't attentive; more transactional. A manager never checked in with us. We received our appetizers before our drinks arrived nearly 30 minutes after we were seated. Our plates were not cleared before we received our entrees. As a write this, I wonder if Stir merits a 3 star rating... When our drinks were served, my Old Fashioned was an orange flavored sweet mess that I had to return. For a restaurant that is called Stir, it was a big miss. The wine is very pricey. On another visit to the bar, I noticed it being restocked with many bottles of Smirnoff. Is that the default for martinis? Service at the bar was fine, but bar tenders were more focused on closing. For appetizers, we had the spinach & artichoke dips as well as the buffalo crab Rangoon dip. The Cajun wonton chips with the buffalo dip were good, and the dip itself was fine. The spinach dip was ok, and the chips were too few and probably should be something else. The grilled swordfish was solid though a little dry, but well flavored. Our friend found the short rib ravioli fine, but wasn't pleased with his order. The scallop risotto had perfectly braised scallops and a very good overall taste profile.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Stir three times now, and each visit has been memorable for both the incredible food and the amazing staff. From the first visit, Erica and Jill set the bar high with their warmth and compassion. We had just said goodbye to our dog, and they made the experience so special with a champagne toast that truly lifted our spirits. On my second visit, I was there with friends, and we had the pleasure of having Fiona as our waitress. Her dry sense of humor had us laughing all night. Erica even stopped by to say hello and check in, remembering me from the first time. For our anniversary, my husband and I came back, and Kailey was our waitress. Her energy was absolutely contagious and made our evening even better. Jill and Erica both came by to say hello and celebrate with us. It's touches like these that make Stir such a gem. We love dining here, and with the attentive, friendly service, two hours always feels like the perfect amount of time to enjoy a delicious meal. Can't wait to come back for more unforgettable evenings! I recommend reservations in advance I want to add that I wrote this on our third visit - the manager Jocelyn came over with a champagne toast for our anniversary which was so appreciated and kind.

Parm truffle fries, $14. Good flavor. Order extra crispy to prevent getting soggy

2 of us arrived around 5:15 on a Friday evening and took the last 2 seats available at the bar. There were still a few tables open. By the time we left, it was packed. SERVICE: Sarah is friendly and attentive. She seems to know all the patrons and made for a very warm experience. BAR: My cosmo was PERFECT! And adult size. Bravo Sarah! I also like you can get either 6oz or 9 oz wine and the prices are very reasonable. Even the coupe glasses are respectable size, not like the tiny ones that are gone after 3 sips. I saw so many beautifully presented cocktails. ATMOSPHERE: As it filled up, it did get a bit loud. There are smaller rooms near the back where the sound quality is likely better. It is very welcoming inside and tastefully decorated. FOOD: The shoestring truffle fries had excellent flavor. Next time I will ask for them extra crispy as after a few minutes they started to get a little soggy. The sauce they are served with is a unique accompaniment which I enjoyed. The were 5 scallops in the seared scallops with risotto dish, $33, cooked well, however needed seasoning. The mini pork shanks were beautifully presented with excellent flavor but were on the dry side. The meat should just fall off the bone, but these required effort to cut up. The broccoli slaw was excellent.

We expressed disappointment, but they then checked with the Kitchen staff and said sure if you order right away we would be happy to serve you. We were thrilled! We ordered drinks and had food, and it was all wonderful. We loved the speakeasy, vibe, the custom cocktails, and the impressive and carefully curated alcohol options at the bar. The service was wonderful and friendly. We thought, oh great, this is going to be our go to place in town, we'll be here frequently! Our next visit was completely different. I called ahead of time to check on availability, mention that we prefer to sit at the bar, and confirm that they do not take reservations at the bar, but that there were tables available. So we had it in. When we arrived, we clearly saw at least four open seats at the bar. But we were informed that those seats were reserved. I mentioned that I had just called to confirm that there were seats available and confirmed that bar seats could not be reserved. Well, that was perplexing. And there was no genuine apology, no mention that they might be sorry about the confusion, let us see what we can do... Ultimately, the hostess, did checked with some folks and found that there was a table that we could have. So we sat down for our meal. The service this night was decidedly different, and we couldn't help feeling like we'd forced our way into a private club that we really weren't welcomed at. That was a few months ago, and we haven't been back since.

The ambience of this quaint jazz bar and restaurant is simply amazing. Would recommend it to anyone in Acton or passing through!

I like to give 5 stars where I can but I do have to agree with 1 of the most common complaints in these reviews: No frozen drinks. I've been to where Tiki drinks started and deciding on or around May 2024 to no longer offer frozen drinks at a "tiki" bar is insane. Either take the label off or buy a blender. Two options costing this establishment just $20 while saving it years of embarrassment and 1 star Yelp reviews. Other than that I had a great time. Nachos were fine, and the salsa was kind of fun, very thick, very dippable. Maybe extra tomato paste? Though it was certainly New England mild. Ham and pineapple pizza was yummy and thematic here at the end of the blue square ski trail #2. Yes there are children here so if that's enough for you to give a 1 star review, go somewhere else. Yes for some reason the wait staff are mostly 19 year old girls which seriously angered a man in the reviews I read. K. Yes a drink is $16, a beer $13 and a pizza $30. But overall you're getting just Massachusetts weirdness turned way up. Worth a stupid adventure. They've got Wormtown on tap. Enjoy it.

I am not the target demo, being a vegan who doesn't drink, so please keep that in mind when reading my review! I did the Build-your-own burger, ordering a veggie burger patty and some mixed veggies on top. The patty was fine, not my favorite type of veggie burger, and I was a little disappointed since I thought...and I may have totally invented this in my mind)... that they offered a vegan smashburger made with Beyond or Impossible meat. That would have been my preference. The fries were good. My friend said her burger was fantastic, and the onion rings as well. So overall, the food was perfectly enjoyable. Nothing stand-out, but all very good. For ambiance, it is not a comfortable space, uncomfy chairs at tiny tables in a cramped space. There were ants crawling all over our table (not the restaurant's fault, it was a rainy spring day,0 but it did put a damper on my insect-hating friend's birthday dinner. "The Basic": The only straightforward option, with two smashed patties and all the ingredients in a Big Mac, plus tomato. Bigger and better, of course, but pretty run of the mill. Certainly decent; just nothing special. Waffle Fries: Industrial strength and odd-tasting, with a weird greasy texture and non-salty seasoning. Crisp but unpleasantly unnatural.
