It's been a few years since we visited Evviva. My sister invited us for the Wednesday dinner special so we were eager to head back. We were promptly seated and our waitress (Darcy) was phenomenal. So kind and attentive. Three is us got the meal deal and everything was delicious. Salad, half entree and mini dessert for 20 dollars is a steal. We all brought home leftovers, so don't worry that the 1/2 order is not enough. It's more than plenty. Especially if you ask for bread-which is served with a(to die for) garlic olive oil for dipping. The cannoli are prepared fresh so the cannoli shells are crisp. We also found the dining room less noisy than in the past. Overall it was a delicious meal and we look forward to going back soon! read more

Came here last night with some friends for dinner. First, the service here is disassociated and despondent. I entered the restaurant and waited for staff to help this lady ahead of me. After she left, I waited for the blonde host to address me. She blankly instead stared behind me for a few minutes and I watched her confused. Is she high? I wondered but finally moved on when the other brunette host asked if I was dining inside. Yes, 6 seats and a high chair I requested. The high chair we were given had a broken belt. Later when we were seated I switched the chair for another one behind me. Keeping broken high chairs should be illegal. Anyway, I was very impressed with the children's menu. It was plentiful and had options for everyone. Each meal came with icecream as well :) The food was delicious. I split the hot honey chicken wrap with my husband along with a plate of calamari. The calamari dish and sauce was one of the best I have had in a restaurant in a long time. I was impressed. Anyway, the 4 star rating is more for the tasty food and having an excellent kids menu. Otherwise, I would have given this establishment a 3 star rating. We had to request waters to be served to us which was insane to me. Unless we requested a waters, our waitress refused to bring us any. It made no sense. read more

Food is great, drinks are superb. Environment is a little loud, but the real problem is their use of the Toast App for paying the bill. The Toast app is poorly designed. My experience included having the app decide to charge a non-preferred card listed in my account for business travel. So I had to talk to the host, have the charge reversed, and then pay with the intended credit card. When I followed up with Toast about their buggy app, I was told to simply delete the other cards in my account to avoid that issue. My response will be to delete the app. I will also try and avoid any restaurant that chooses to use that app. So it's been a good run ET, but I'm afraid I'm done. Sorry, I realize it's not your fault. Looking forward to when I can come back and enjoy a Toast free experience. read more

They have to figure out how to drain pasta when using it in a dish that uses wine or olive oil. Otherwise the orecchiette sits in a bowl of water instead of the intended flavors. Sent back and simply drained the excess water. You dropped the ball. Toss it in a pan next time. read more

Two of us arrived on a Tuesday after Christmas around 5:15. Plenty of availability even though the surrounding parking lot was quite full. FOOD: The minestrone soup is excellent. Flavorful, fresh ingredients. $8, very small cup. We ordered a make your own pizza, tomato sauce, blended cheese, meatballs. The cheese was very bland and the meatballs were chewy and overcooked. SERVICE: The bartender was friendly, on occasion was challenging to get their attention. When our soup was delivered (by someone not the bartender) we requested napkins/silverware from the person who presented it. This person never made eye contact, located the napkins and placed them on the bar and walked away, never once acknowledging our existence. Uncomfortable. BAR: Lots of seats choices. Average pour, appropriately priced house low end wine at $9 glass (Sycamore). ATMOSPHERE: I anticipated a warm feeling, but somehow it feels cold and cavernous inside. Out of towner looking to enjoy some good Italian so I decided to go with the Yelp reviews. This place has great food. The sauce is just right. Not over seasoned. And you can tell the cheese is the real deal. Not the junk that tastes plastic. All natural, great ingredients. The atmosphere was very casual. Props to whoever was spinning that classic 80s music. I loved it. Melissa was my server and was super attentive and friendly. Lastly- I could not believe how quickly my food was at my table. I'm talking 5 minutes or less. Great service, great food. The hostess immediately acknowledged me and our order was ready on time. we ordered 3 tray: chx parm, Alfredo and pasta, and pasta with red sauce. it included a box of rolls and salad and dressing. it was packaged securely and beautifully, the boxes held the heat in well. everyone raved about the food. the chef helped me load my car, the hostess was patient while I searched for my credit card. Right in the cornerstone plaza in Westford we usually get take out. Our favorites are the apps of Brussel sprouts and now the fried lasagna. Really fried ricotta cheese with some delish sauces. When feeling it the garlic cheesy bread is a winner. A better than average pizza the service is usually on par, sometimes the help does like to talk to each other so you just need to get their attention. We always order take-out. My wife ordered eggplant parm and I order chicken marsala. The chicken marsala was bland, hardly any flavor. I had to add parmesan cheese to it to give it any flavor at all. I sampled my wife's eggplant parm and to be honest, it had the flavor of a stouffer's frozen dinner; which leads me to believe that the meal might have been frozen OR Evviva Trattoria has partnered with Stouffers. The reader can guess about that one. Neither my wife or I were impressed, could not figure out why the parking lot had so many cars in it for such mediocre food. The staff, not the kitchen staff, appeared to be just out of high school, but they were very nice and accomodating. But as I indicated above, I wasn't crazy about the food. There is a much better option down the street, Cucina Toscana, and I highly recommend that restaurant. They serve authentic Italian food, not frozen Italian food AND the prices are reasonable. Evviva Tratoria should visit there and get some pointers from them in regard to authentic (not frozen) Italian food, I would love to see this place succeed. read more

We came here for a quick bite and then to go to the grocery store. We were seated quickly but away from a lot of guests. This resulted in the server not aware of us being seated far away and waited about 20 mins until a server came to start our order. Once this was sorted out, service was prompt and quick. The food was tasty(got the pizza and salad of the month). Pizza was a smokey italiano with cherry peppers, very meaty with a nice kick. Salad was a roasted vegetable salad with candied walnuts giving off a sweet and savory mix(although at times could be too sweet). Kids enjoyed sharing one kids meal which came with a beverage and a side. I ordered the broccolini and at first they didn't want to try but after the first bite, both kids enjoyed it. There seems to be weekday specials, so probably will try to make those. Other than the initial wait, would choose this place again. read more

This place is like if Olive Garden got a little fancier and is hanging out with Bertucci's on the weekends. Is it great authentic Italian food? No. Does it slap? Yes. The salads are great, fresh, flavorful with options. The Lasagna fritters are delicious and come with sauce options. The Margherita pizza is thin with a great crust and fresh mozzarella. Might be a tiny bit pricey for what it is, but portions are big and food is super consistent. read more

Came here a few weeks ago with my family for dinner and it was not the best visit. I will say that the waiter seemed new and he was very nice. We ordered drinks and appetizers and had to almost chase him down to order our meals which weren't ordered till about an hour after we had arrived at the restaurant. My meal and my parents meal came out first followed by my sister and brother-in-law about 10 minutes after and then another 10 minutes after the kids food came out missing part of the order. My husband's order came out last about 20 minutes after mine and it was wrong. The waiter entered it correctly, but the kitchen made something different. I don't know how eggplant Parm gets mistaken for shrimp scampi. About 15 minutes later his food finally came out with apologies but when the bill came his meal was not comped. No manager came over to apologize either even though his meal arrived a full 45 minutes after mine. So my brother-in-law went over to the hostess desk and asked them to take the meal off the bill because because that should have been taken off in the first place. My parents recently visited the new location in Nashua and had a much better experience where they actually received bread which I didn't know was a thing because we were not offered that. Not trying to just vent about it, but it was not a great experience for what was supposed to be a celebration after a dance recital. We just left very frustrated almost 3 hours later. read more

Came here on a Wednesday evening with a party of 4 and the place was probably 3/4 full with a decent amount of servers working. The place itself had a rustic ambiance, most tables being high tops and the bar area taking up most of the space due to the pizza kitchen being there also. Overall the ambiance felt pretty comfortable and warm, I definitely liked the aesthetic! Our server was kind and friendly as well as relatively efficient, taking our order with ease and getting us water pretty quickly. The appetizers didn't take too long to come out and overall were pretty good, both in taste and quantity. My favorite was probably the calamari with the mussels as a close second. The meatballs were good, but the portion size there wasn't as big as I would've hoped given the price. Our entrees came out staggered for some reason with one coming almost 5 minutes after the rest of us got our food. The manager ended up taking out the last one in what I assume was an apology, but overall the food was plentiful and tasty so we weren't too taken aback. I had the braised beef risotto which was huge and very savory - I'd argue it was almost too salty, but I didn't mind it too much. The portion was so large that I could save it for lunch the next day so I thought it was a great deal! For dessert, we thought the cannolis only had 1 or 2 per order, but to our surprise, each came out with 4. I definitely enjoyed the cannolis and chocolate cake the most - both were well portioned and delicious. I found the apple dessert a little lackluster as the pastry wasn't flakey at all, so the texture was disappointing. A shame because I was looking to that one the most! I'd been meaning to get over to this place for awhile and just never did. From the outside it looks like an awesome place. Finally went on a Friday night and I have to say, I was disappointed. I will start by saying that the place is absolutely beautiful. The decor is cool and the high ceilings give it all a great look. Great looking bar too. And the host staff was pleasant. Unfortunately that's where my praise ends. The service was ok, average at best. I won't say the servers name because being a former restaurant worker I don't want to put anyone in a bad spot but he was basically just going through the motions. Seemed fairly unhappy. However, he was efficient, granted at a very slow pace. However, the real problem was the food. I ordered veal saltimbocca which sounded good but looked pretty unappetizing (see pic). And it ended up lacking any real favor. Just really bland. It also came out somewhat cold. Another person at my table got short rib mac & cheese which she described as "average at best". Everything was just kind of underwhelming. I will say that the pizzas that were coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. If I do come back to Evviva it would probably be just to pick up one of those. This place has potential but from this experience I doubt I'll ever order dinner there again. read more

Came today and sat at the bar next to kitchen which is quite interesting to watch. The beer was served promptly as was the pizza, however during the time between I noticed the line cook eating with his hands behind the counter and then proceeded to not wash his hands and go back to prep. Ten minutes later or so, he pulled out his phone from his pocket to text in plain site and then proceeded to prep food and stack plates. I didn't see gloves used, otherwise I wouldn't bother posting this Hostesses are texting at the front in plain site as well. I'm not a prude when it comes to phone use, but I kid you not, the whole time they were texting. I think the practices I witnessed were quite unsanitary. Food was great, but some staff need to maybe take a ServSafe class. The woman on the pizza station knows what she's going though. read more

Tonight I walked in and ordered a Margherita pizza (small) to go, crispy please. The guys at the register were great. They took my order asked for my phone number and name. I said I was going to wait. Besides, I didn't have my cell phone with me. The young man said we required a phone number and name, ok I understand. I paid cash and was asked, would you like a receipt? Yes please. I looked at the receipt and saw a 6% packaging fee which came to .87 cents. I kind of joked with the guys and said, "your charging for the pizza box?" If I could remove the cost I would, it's a corporate thing. Very disappointing to charge an extra 6% kind of like those mysterious surcharges on your cell phone bill. Also, while I was waiting for my pizza I sat at the bar and ordered a 16oz Blue Moon. That charge came to $8.03 for a draft beer. What a racket I'm surprised I wasn't charged an extra fee for a slice of orange. Also, the pizza wasn't crispy as requested that's why I gave them a 3 star review. read more

Came in right before dinner, it was not very busy so I was sat right away. Put in an appetizer order of the Calamari Fritti and for my main I went with the Braised Shortrib Panini with truffle chips and the onion dip. While waiting I noted the nice space for smaller parties to sit, I eat by myself a lot and didn't feel like I was taking up a big table, there is also a bar seating option of you wanted to sit quicker and have a drink, the chair spacing made it seem not as crowded as a lot of bar seating usually is. The Calamari arrived and smelled fantastic, the peppers gave it a nice kick and the sauce it came with was really good. The Calamari itself was cooked perfectly with a little chew and a nice crunch with from the breading. My one note would be there was not enough pepper to calamari, I would have liked to have that spice throughout. The sandwich came next with the chips, I do have to say I'm not a fan of the small cup shape the dips came in, the chips and sandwich just don't quite fit and it got a little messy. I am not a big fan of the chips, just texturally and probably wouldn't get then again but the onion dip was really good. The sandwich itself was juicy and full of flavor the meat was melt in your mouth, the bread was soft but not soggy and the arugula just fit so well for a refreshing pop of veg. The dip was really good with it too like a hard core au jus but again the container was just much too small, I wanted to be swimming in that stuff! I don't usually get dessert but the salted caramel cheesecake was just calling my name. Oh man am I glad I answered, this was the best piece of cheesecake I have had in a LONG time, it was sweet with the perfect amount of salt, soft and creamy with an Amazing moist crust. While I think in every place there is room for improvement I definitely enjoyed my meal here and will be back, I recommend giving it a try and exploring what this menu has to offer, great place to eat alone, with a friend or the whole family. read more
