The calamari was a pinch tough but overall pretty good. My husband was excited to see the bruschetta comes with the tomato in a bowl. He doesn't really like balsamic so he could easily avoid it by skipping the top of the tomatoes. I had the mac and cheese which was amazing and my husband had lasagna which he loved. My partner mentioned that he was craving linguini alla vongolo from Lui Lui and off we went to enjoy dinner there. Freshly baked rolls were delicious. I had to ask for a second serving. My partner loved his dinner and described it as delicious. I tried it and found it to have a nice spicy kick. I ordered the Lui Lui. I liked how their broccoli appeared to be blanched and then added to the food. That made the broccoli nice and crunchy. Pasta was a little bit too al dente for my taste but that's a matter of personal preference. Fresh lemon cooked with the pasta made some of the pasta taste bitter. I have been coming here for years and tried many items on the menu. My favorite is the Linguini alla vongole! Never disappointments with the large portion, fresh and chopped clams in the savory broth keeps me coming back any chance I get! Service is typically very good and attentive, though when they are busy it does become a bit of an issue. First of all Jake, I believe was his name was very attentive . I had the house salad which was good. My wife ordered the spaghetti and meat balls. The meatballs were "mesh" and the spaghetti was water logged. The sauce however was beyond terrible, I guess there are really no good Italian cooks in Nashua as Olive Garden might have been a better move and Olive Garden was just a level up from this, These Italian restaurants should make their sauces the way they would make them at home. Meh. Okay, but not great. We have passed by many times after an afternoon of shopping and were curious and hungry so thought we'd give it a try. I ordered a coffee and it was lukewarm and seemed like it had been sitting for a while. Even with cream it looked like mud. We were served hot rolls with dipping oil and the dipping oil was bland and had no flavor. I ordered the Lui Lui chicken with broccoli and rigatoni in a lemon cream sauce and it would have been okay except for the chicken was very rubbery, as though it had been stored in the freezer a long time before being cooked. My significant other ordered the shrimp scampi and he said it was okay, but didn't wow him. As it was late on a Sunday afternoon I would have thought the place would have been crowded from all the other people who had been shopping in the area that day. When we walked in there was only two other tables being served and the rest of the place was empty despite being near dinner time. That should have given me a clue that the place is not all that popular. My sense is that they do better as a pizza joint than a restaurant. I will not be going back again. read more

Oh my goodness! I just love Lui Lui's! It's so warm and cozy and gives you that nice family atmosphere. It's tastefully decorated, comfy booths or a table if you prefer with chairs surrounding it. Ordered the Italian Meatballs which were very good then for entrees the Lobster Ravioli & the Rigatoni w/Sausage & Spicy Peppers. I hadn't been here for 4-5 years but at one point this was my go-to for pizza in the Nashua area and I was excited to return this weekend. The atmosphere is still nice, drinks are still good/strong, and the bread and oil is decent. Our margarita pizza came out extremely salty. Believe me, we like salt, but this tasted like someone threw a handful over the top of the pizza after coming out of the oven. We couldn't eat it which is unfortunate because it looked delicious. We told our waitress who offered to make us a new pizza "WITHOUT salt" (as if extra salt was listed as one of the ingredients that we should have known to ask to be omitted lol) Her tone suggested that she was aggravated with us when she had been very nice prior to this. Although I would have loved a new pizza, we didn't have time to wait for one and asked if we could send it back and removed from the bill. She agreed but had such an attitude about it, and proceeded to take 20 minutes to bring our check, and another 15 minutes to return our card. I don't know if she was worried about getting less of a tip or if she was getting crap from management or kitchen staff about losing the sale of a pizza, but I sure hope they all tried a slice of the one we were given and see how disgusting it was so they can improve. read more

A few of us went to Lui Lui's recently, and we were all disappointed. My chicken piccatta dish was meh. It tasted a little weird - but I also haven't had it in a while, so maybe that's the briney taste? Way way too much pasta. I weighed it when I got home - 1.8 lbs! Maybe half that amount a bit more chicken? Another person's dish was cold. Another's was dry (chicken). The last person said his dish was just okay. The sampler appetizer was good. Have been going to Lui Lui since the early 2000's. I generally enjoy the food. Lately however inconsistency is becoming apparent in the portion sizes and prep. Portion sizes are noticeably smaller. And to go orders are placed under a heat lamp that melts the plastic containers the sauce and food are packaged in. Not a good presentation to say the least. Brought this to their recently attention after the second time it happened and was told, yeah, that happens a lot, we've heard that before. When a restaurant tells you they know of a problem and don't choose to fix it, what else is occurring that you don't see in the kitchen? Hopefully ownership and management recognize and correct this and any other credible issues brought to them, otherwise this place could trend into irrelevance instead of being a go to. read more

Went with their special lunch menu and got the Lunch Bucatini that came with either soup or salad and I went with the vegetable chicken chowder. Update: Came with a group for lunch on Sunday and their Chicken Caprese Risotto is my new favorite dish! WOW! It so creamy, cheesy and sinful tasting. You can order just a side of their risotto too which is also amazing but this is even better since they add more cheese and tomatoes, basil and chicken. Highly recommended.
