This is a nice little local resturant I have a lot of affection for. I can't quite give it 5 stars even though I'd like to, because some of the food on the menu is in my opinion, not as good as it should be. But most of it's very good. Their pizzas are usually excellent and delicious, and their buffalo chicken, while nothing super special, is very good and reheats very well, leaving you with some nice leftovers. Everyone who works here is super sweet and polite as far as I've seen and experienced, and while I don't usually stop in to eat here, it is nice to do so occasionally with friends. If you like a small shop atmosphere with some soft lighting, it's nothing incredible or out of this world but it's definitely nice. read more

I ordered the parmigiana. I had eggplant pa. No breadcrumbs. Awful. Ravioli. Awful. Cold. I sent it back and the waitress apologized that she forgot to tell me about the eggplant. My husband had short ribs because he has a good allergy. The people next to us got pasta dishes that came out steaming hot. Waste of money. I returned my food. I got a burger. Not that hot. Finally ordered a sub from here the other night, steak and cheese with a side of onion rings. Brought everything home, tasty, steak was a little too salty but the toppings (lettuce, tomato and provolone) were just right. Would absolutely order again. Rings are standard frozen rings, no need to order again, Johnson's makes theirs from scratch- much better. Counter service: the young lady working the counter was extremely friendly, helpful, all around on her game. The food is the worst! Yesterday I ordered a chicken cutlet sub. It came with the breaded chicken way over fried. I almost broke a tooth taking a bite to see what it taste like. The breaded chicken patties that they use are frozen processed so much that its like card board even before they put it in the frier. INSTANT DOG FOOD! Another delicious date nite finds us at Pizza Pizzazz in Pepperell. Caprese salad is not on the menu....but they ran next door to Donelans, grabbed a few ingredients and voila!!! Ordered for delivery at 5:10 pm. On a Monday. Order arrived at 6:45 pm, only after we called. Was told the delivery driver left 10 minutes ago. We live less than 5 minutes away. No explanation. No apology. Food is meh. Fortunately for them, this is a small town and there aren't many other options. read more

Really good, local pizza. Always had the greek style and thought it was good, but then called one day and they only had Italian, so we tried that. Wow!.. that was even better and has now become our go-to. Definitely the best in town. I've gotten the subs several times and never disappointed (I recommend the homemade italian sausage sub). read more

Pretty good pizza - toppings are always fresh. Homemade chicken and eggplant parm is really good as well. Like most sub shops, some items are better than others. But overall a nice sub/pizza shop. Perfect! Exactly what you'd want from a pizza place. We were in the area because of the skydiving company nearby had us on wind-hold and we got hungry while we waited. Our group of six ordered a large pizza pie with pineapples, jalapeños and feta and a calzone with pepper, onions and mushrooms. For appetizers we got spicy fries (delicious) and mozzarella sticks! Ordered a grilled chicken salad. The chicken was dry. The lettuce - 90% of the salad - was all iceberg with a 3 lonely slices of green pepper. The dressing was 1/2 the amount needed. By far the most taste-less grilled chicken salad ever. Never again. read more

Just changed their rating to five stars because their pizzas are so consistently well prepared and DELICIOUS!!! I just tried their Greek-style pizza because I prefer thin crust. Ordered it with pepperoni. Other than the fact that the pepperoni pieces were so small I could hardly find them, I liked the pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy, they did not use too much tomato sauce, and the cheese was plentiful. After reading another reviewer's comments, I was ready to have a problem if one of the staff had an "attitude," but I found them to be very pleasant. So glad to have found this pizza place. We've tried every pizza place with a 5 mile radius after moving here...And there are so many terrible places!!! This place has the BEST Pizza with the best crust- Italian. To-nite had the mushroom and sausage pizza with Italian crust...the sausage was sliced not crumbled with great flavor, w/ fabulous large sauteed mushrooms w/ wonderful melted cheese and just the right amount of delicious sauce. Terrible! I ordered a grilled chicken sub on 2 different occasions, months apart, I should've learned from the first time, but gave them a second chance. The grilled chicken tastes disgustingly burnt. It tastes like it's been cooked on a grill that hasn't been cleaned in 3 years. The Italian style pizza is very greasy, so much so it soaks through the crust, the pizza also has a strange oven chemical taste, again that makes you feel as if the oven hasn't been clean in years. Whatever you do, don't order an Italian sub. They have no idea how to make them. My first order was for Italian sub with everything except pickles, w/light hots. Here's what I got: Italian meat with grilled mushrooms, grilled onions and grilled peppers. Called to complain and got new order. New order was just some meat (only bologna) and cheese in a sub roll. SO AWFUL!!! Never ordering from here again. Waited over 1 hour 50 mins for my delivery to arrive. I understand that they're busy, but let me know if you can't do it or at least call. It would've been quicker to pick up myself or I would've made other arrangements. I called after 1 hour and 10 mins and they weren't even apologetic either, like they were inconvenienced by me. Editing review to 4 stars as I received a very quick reply from the shop owners with a resolution. My family has ordered many times from Pizza Pizzaz and have been happy with the service and food, even recommending them to neighbors & friends and using them for parties, etc. However, we placed an order on May 15 that will be our last. At approx. 7:20, we placed an order on their website as we have done many times in the past. The estimated wait time was 45 minutes, which seemed normal. Around 8:20, my husband called to check in as we had not received our order. He was told by the employee on the phone that they had not received any online orders. Thinking we may have not submitted the order correctly, we double checked & found that we had received an email confirmation as well as a charge on our credit card. I called back and spoke to the same employee (Lisa) and explained above. She had what I can only describe as a "not my problem" attitude. She went on to tell me that the online orders go to her boss's phone and she was currently in Brazil (?). At that time, she told me that she would have her manager (Julie) call me back to resolve but they weren't going to make our order because it was 8:30 and they closed at 9 PM. After we hung up, it occurred to me that Lisa promised me a call back from the manager but did not ask my name, phone number, or anything about my order. I called back for a 3rd time and she spoke to me on one line while she was either speaking or texting her manager simultaneously. They did in fact find our order and said they would make it right away, but were out of the Greek style pizza we ordered, but "can make Italian style, OK?" Not, "I'm sorry we are out of what you ordered, can we make this for you instead?" Our order ended up taking over 2 hours, 3 phone calls and wasn't even what we ordered in the first place. We were not apologized to (except for by the delivery driver who was understanding about the situation and stayed late to deliver our order), and have not been contacted by Julie, the manager. If this were my business, I would not have been communicating with my employee with an unhappy customer on the other line. In my opinion, she should have called us directly instead of playing telephone and at the very least offered an apology or order discount. I will say that the food we received was hot and fresh, but was not what we ordered. This was a mixup their end that could have been resolved easily, but was not and unfortunately have lost a customer. read more

Recommended for consistency regarding their pizza. We have had issues when we attempted to order other items such as chicken wings. Either they forgot to put the order in altogether, or put in a small instead of a large, forgot the blue cheese dipping sauce...etc.. They do pizza well.... need to work on the other items on the menu or take them off the menu. read more

Just another mediocre pizza joint for Pepperell. The lady on the phone is rude and snappy. I've tried time and time again to give this place a chance but it's not worth spending your time ordering low quality food that will most likely make you sick or have a hair in it. Not great. I came here a few years ago and got sick two times in a row. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but twice in a row seems sketchy. Maybe it was the oil they use or something...I'm trying to not call it food poisoning but idk. I recently came back after a few years of being turned off and had a salad which was actually pretty good. I think I'll stick to those from now on. Pizza is so good - they put so much cheese and toppings! They just moved to a new location, which is MUCH nicer. You can actually go and sit down to eat. The owners are always there and are super nice (but don't speak the best English), so you know every order is made carefully, not thrown together by some high school kid. We've ordered delivery twice and both times have been satisfied. It's cool this place offers both Italian and Greek style pizzas. Apps are good too - we had the tenders (juicy and high in quantity). The pizzas are a nice balance of sauce/cheese/toppings. Delivery was surprisingly faster than we thought and the online ordering process was fairly headache free.
