used to be the best coffee shop in town now it's a disorganized abomination 9 of 10 employees look suicidal the brown girl running the register isn't just incompetent, she's absolutely miserable I ordered 1 item, a coffee I counted her tap the register 145 times It took me 11 minutes to get 1 coffee with nobody in front of me off to find the best coffee shop in Chelmsford, got any suggestions? read more

When I crave for a bagel sandwich I usually go here ! I got the Tom Brady and added cream cheese and sweet chili sauce. I asked for onion but I'm guessing the boy that made it got confused of which one was which lol. But that's okay I don't mind garlic bagels. This is usually my go to bagel sandwich there. I also got a black cold brew with white chocolate syrup. How I would normally order my coffees at and coffee shops. It was pretty good. read more

This place does not disappoint. Found this cafe by accident, and when in the area I make sure to return. They have coffees, drinks, breakfast sandwiches, bagels and lunch sandwiches. The prices are reasonable. I came with a friend and I had the egg and cheese with hash browns in an everything bagel. My friend had the turkey sandwich. We both enjoyed our sandwiches. Very tasty. And my coffee was really good. I've been to some other cafes and the coffee was either not hot or just not good. So this coffee was the best I've had out in a while. It's a local business so it's great to support them. If you are in Chelmsford, you must stop in. They do have parking as some places do not. So glad I found this place! read more

They charge a lot of money for a bacon egg and cheese to put ZERO cheese and 2 skinny cheap slices of half cooked bacon. It's overpriced and the portions are cheap. First and Last time eating here for sure. read more

I came here after seeing the positive reviews and had high expectations. My coffee was too sugary and the bagel I got was warmed, not toasted like I asked, greasy, and had way too much cream cheese on it. Not a fan and I will not be a return customer. read more

The food is good. Coffees tastes watered down to me whenever i have gotten iced I've always been disappointed. I know townies love KJs. It's pretty basic inside. The service is always 10/10 and staff is always friendly. They have fast service read more

I was looking for a quick place to grab breakfast before getting back on the road and KJ's was a perfect fit! I was able to order online and pick up in store within 10 minutes! It's adorable inside of the store, and it was so great to know I was supporting a small business :) Unfortunately I didn't have any cash on me and I really wanted to tip, but they didn't offer digital tips... which I think needs to be changed because you folks deserve the extra gratuity!! Definitely a reliable spot with a wide variety of menu options, great job here :D ! read more

I'd say KJ's is pretty average. From the food to the drinks to the service, nothing particularly stands out, but it doesn't disappoint either. They do have a solid selection of flavored coffee beans, which is where they shine a bit. The coffee itself, however, isn't as strong as I'd like--it's just not bold enough for my taste, but that could be a personal preference. The bagels, sandwiches, and pastries are fine, but nothing to write home about. They do the job when you're in the mood for a quick bite, but they don't exactly knock your socks off. The prices are mid-range--not as cheap as Dunkin' across the street, but not as expensive as Euphoria a few blocks away, though you can't really compare them directly. There are a few booths if you want to sit down, and the service is quick, so it's a good option if you're in a rush or just want a casual place to relax. Overall, KJ's is a solid choice, but not somewhere you'd go out of your way for unless you're a fan of their coffee beans. read more

Cat was amazing today! I had a long order & it was handled with grace! Also, Cat got me to try a favorite KJ's coffee while I waited and it is delicious. Best coffee in town & KJ's can make anything else if you don't like coffee. Stop in to KJ's because it's one of the best bagel places in Chelmsford and say hi to Cat if she is in! read more

Service - very kind and cordial; inside - clean enough I guess, but oddly very dimly lit/cold; food - fine but feels quite expensive for what you get. I don't get the point of places like this. Sorry. read more

If you're looking for a breakfast sandwich - forget it. Microwave cooking - pathetic. The coffee itself is very good BUT they don't even half and half - you're forced to use chemical Coffee Mate or drink it black. Clearly run by a person who thinks breakfast is a Diet Coke and a blueberry muffin. read more

KJ Café has decent flavored coffees the girl at the register with the bandana I believe her name is cat charming so charming. Getting hash brown on the sausage, egg and cheese, it was worth can't eat it no other way and she was absolutely right. My husband loved the jalapeño cheddar bagel with veggie cream cheese. Best combination go to KJ that you have the best bagels and charming staff like cat. read more

I'm not saying they're entitled...or passive/aggressive...but beware that if you do not leave a tip (only options are 18% and up) for a counter order...where no one had to serve you...they will only give you 2/3 of a latte. I understand what foam clearance looks like but this was excessive...at *least* three inches from the rim (if not, more!) Their food is fine, but their latte syrups taste like chemicals/fake flavors... read more

The appearance of the font and menu board is a little dated but food and drinks were good! I had a breakfast sandwich and chai latte. The food was made fresh and my drink was delicious. It seems to be a good cafe option as not too many use the cafe for wifi. It seems pretty busy but service was quick. read more

First time here and the sandwich's were really good. Perfect for a quick easy reliable sandwich. The flavors were fresh and tasty. Two very different sandwich's the sriracha sandwich was sweet and tangy and you could taste the added banana peppers making it a little extra spicy. The south western turkey sandwich was the perfect amount of turkey to cheese ratio. Reminded me almost like a seasoned grilled cheese with tomato and turkey which just added that extra flavor. The coffees weren't the best they were slightly watery and you could clearly taste the syrup. I wish the coffee was slightly stronger and it had less ice. read more

KJ's has great coffee and the best selection of egg sandwiches. Always fresh bagels and great service!!

I'm gluten free for processed food and the Amaretto cherry muffin was delicious. also had a small chai latte with almond milk and No sugar and it was also delicious. the establishment was clean, ambiance and decor was really nice and the staff members were naturally personable. this was Tuesday at noon. surprised this place doesn't have a perfect score to be honest. read more

I have been going to KJs since they opened and get French vanilla coffee. It always tasted the same and was delicious. Over the past couple of months the coffee has been bad and tastes different every single day. One day I got a flavor that was awful and I had to throw it away it definitely wasn't french vanilla. I wonder if Im actually even getting the right flavor. I'm not sure how they differentiate their coffee with labeling but the coffee has not been enjoyable which stinks because when the coffee was good and the flavor being asked for was correct, it WAS good. read more

KJ's is doing a lot right. We stopped in for coffee and breakfast sandwiches and were impressed with their food/drinks, customer service, and COVID compliance. Everyone working at KJ's was warm and welcoming. I had a few menu questions and they were answered easily and quickly. I ordered a seasonal special White Chocolate Raspberry Latte (not my usual, but the chalkboard by the register advertising it called my name!) and the Tom Brady breakfast sandwich on a gluten free bagel. The latte was great, hot and not too sweet. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious. I'm always wary about trying new gluten free bread products because they tend to be a little bit or miss. This gluten free bagel was tasty and didn't taste like cardboard. Win! The sandwich came with egg, avocado, and cheddar cheese. It was hot and melty- delicious! KJ's also has a huge case of gluten free pastries and we grabbed a pop tart from Something Sweet Without the Wheat for later (it was delicious!) The huge selection of gluten free items was a welcome surprise and the care that was taken during gluten free food prep was especially appreciated. I am always so grateful when restaurants take food allergies seriously! I felt safe eating here and will happily return to try some more sandwiches and drinks. read more

My fiancé and I have eaten here and gotten coffee here for years. The coffee is good and so are the sandwiches. My issue with them is they are very allergy unfriendly. My first experience was when I ordered some kind of cream cheese that had nothing in the name about nuts but turned out to have nuts in it. I complained and they gave me a gift card and that was very nice. Today my fiancé went and ordered me a muffin... he specifically asked if there were nuts in it and was told "no". I started eating it and immediately found nuts in it. This is incredible unsafe and unacceptable. Luckily my allergy is not life threatening but I cannot believe a cafe at this day in age doesn't even educate their employees on allergens in the food. read more

Tried KJ's today for lunch, Ordered a Veggie Panini. Picked it up later to discover The panini was not grilled They claimed they toasted the bagel, they did not it is supposed to contain -- from the menu "Spinach, Tomato, Red Onion, Roasted Red Pepper, Cucumber, Cheddar Cheese, Basil and Hummus" What it actually contained - Lettuce, rock hard American cheese, 1 slice of cuke, tomato and a barely detectable amount of hummus. I ordered on a Onion bagel, which was bready rather than chewy (must get their bagel recipe from dunkin donuts!), To their credit the manager said he would refund the charge, he has not so far but i trust he will. Will not be going there again. Everything else there was meh - unremarkable read more

I was looking for a small coffee shop and stumbled upon KJ on yelp. I got the my typical fall order chia latte with pumpkin and oat milk. KJ's Caffe has an amazing selection of flavored iced coffees and teas. My go to is the raspberry iced tea. Tasty to the last drop! The French toast bagels are a favorite every time. This Caffe has so much to offer. I'm really picky when it comes to coffee but they did a great job creating mixed coffee drinks and sold me on there white Christmas! (Now I've skipped dunkins for the last 3 days... not like me.) Also the sandwiches are to die for! I like how to go meals are NOT packaged in styrofoam! This will be the new and improved JAVA; guaranteed I hope everyone has a pleasure of going to this cafe at least once in there life. I promise you won't regret it! read more

We have been looking for a good bagel place around here for a while and we have finally found it! Onion and everything bagels are our favorites. The onion bagels are actually onion bagels and not just a few minced onions mixed into the dough. Their coffee selection is also awesome! The only I wish they had was normal scallion cream cheese. They have a bacon scallion cream cheese, but I love a good old plain scallion cream cheese. read more

I love supporting local coffee shops. I frequent KJ's and love their coffee and breakfast menu , but lately it seems like a gamble - - will you receive what you actually ordered?? The electronic ordering system they put in place for pickup and curbside is super user friendly. But it seems that they are always mixing orders up - whether it's forgetting a coffee from the order, making it a hot coffee when it should be cold, putting butter on a bagel when you ordered cream cheese on the side...the list goes on. I've left feedback on their app and no one ever addresses it. This could be an awesome spot is they had more attention to detail and a higher level of customer service. Overall, I'll recommend and continue to go; just hoping they'll up-level their service. read more

Great little Cafe! Good coffee, sandwiches and muffins. Atmosphere is simple and nice, staff is very friendly.

Perfect place for gluten free options to get a sandwich on a bagel or croissant. They also have a display in front with some gluten free pastries. I got a gluten free bagel with cream cheese (I just wish they would have asked if I would like it toasted or not, since I forgot to ask). They also make it in a separate area which is awesome. Also got an iced coffee and love that they use flavored coffee beans instead of syrups! I will definitely be back and prefer this over Dunkin Donuts across the street. read more
