    Matcha Brownie

Stopped by this coffee spot and really wanted to love it. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was genuinely friendly: definitely a nice place to hang out. Unfortunately, what I ordered just didn't land. I got the seasonal campfire latte with protein powder and a matcha brownie. In hindsight, I should've kept it simple and skipped both the protein powder and the brownie. The latte tasted pretty chalky from the protein powder, and the matcha brownie unfortunately seemed stale, like it had been baked a few days prior. The vibes and service were solid, so not a total loss. I likely just ordered the wrong things. Maybe we'll give it another shot and try something simpler before we head back home to the West Coast.

Very cut atmosphere. The store name is so cute. Nice play on words. The coffee tasted great. Just what I needed.

I have been to Brew'd awakening twice and liked it and would go again for the drinks but likely not the food. The first time I was there I got one of their seasonal ice cream lattes (like an affagato) and it was good two scoops of ice cream with espresso for $6 was a good deal and it tasted good as well the ice cream was good quality and the espresso was freshly and toasty. More recently I got their seasonal mango sticky rice matcha and it was very very good I would likely reccomend a matcha over a coffee if you were to come here. I had a baked good and it was only alright, I would skip it. The atmosphere is hit or miss, sometimes the artwork they have on display is nice but sometimes it is kind of freaky. It also is typically pretty hot and a little smelly with sticky tables. The staff could not be nicer though, they are very knowledgeable about the menu and are happy to help if you have questions and get your coffee ready quickly.

Took a little detour to pick up some sandwiches and coffee on our way home from New Hampshire (to NJ). I decided to wait till we got here to order some pastries/desserts so we can see what's available and what looks fresh. While the sandwiches (that we ordered online) were pretty good (although kind of sloppily made), the baked goods looked pretty stale and old. I ended up not grabbing any of those. The coffee is eh.. weak and watery. The service rubbed me the wrong way. I found the girls behind the bar to be a bit rude to other customers and they just didn't acknowledge my existence while I was waiting to pick food up. It was a fine stop for the sandwich but wouldn't come back

Best lattes in town Andy and his staff are truly a blessing to downtown, can't get enough!

This is the best cappuccino I've had in the US. The sandwich was pretty good too but overshadowed by this perfectly balanced cappuccino. Inside is small but cute and has an earthy-hippie vibe. Service os super friendly and they clearly knew the names of all their regulars. 10/10. Great spot all around.

My husband and I live nearby and love supporting local so we try to come here when we can for our morning caffeine fix. Their iced teas and lattes options are geniunely some of the best drinks we've ever had from a coffee place. From the creativity of the drink options to the artwork on the walls supporting local artists we can't reccomend it enough!

"Monita Matcha" ... very clumpy and grainy.

I used to love coming here and found this place way back in high school (2010-2014), but my most recent interaction was so weird I probably will never go back. Over the decade I've been a customer there have been tons of different staff members who were always so nice and helpful! They would answer questions about any food or drink items you had, make suggestions, and even had a great wall of employees favorite drinks. Today I asked what the hot cocoa latte was and the girl said she "wasn't sure, probably just a latte made with cocoa powder." So I said "okay, I'll take the Monita then." And she asked me what I wanted in my matcha... when 'Monita' is a cookie butter flavored matcha. I felt very awkward and explained every time I've ever ordered a named drink, they've made it as is, and I've taken it. While waiting for my drink I could HEAR the girl talking about me to her coworker and watching them both look up at me. My name was called, I got my drink, and tasted it. I went back to the counter and said "excuse me, is this supposed to have cookie butter in it? I ordered the Monita and it just tastes like a plain matcha.." and before I could even finish, the girl snapped "there is. Do you want extra?" So I awkwardly tried to say I didn't taste anything in it, and she rudely repeated, "so you want extra??" and I originally said yes, but then said "you know what, never mind." If I'm going to waste $7 on a matcha and be treated like I'm a problem, I'll just go to Dunkin's. Really sad to say because the owner Andy is SO wonderful and recognizes almost every single one of his customers when he's in house.

    Donut cider latte

I have come back and changed my mind ! The Apple cider drink was bad and should never come back to menu BUT literally everything else on the menu is good . Sorry to have misjudged Brew'd !!!

this is the butterfly pea tea, as you can see it's all because of how aggressively she was shaking it.

WOW if i could give negative stars i would. Havent been here in over a year and i came in to be met with a small asian girl who rudely takes my order and proceeds to smash shut the cash register. I was in pure shock and than she goes on to aggressively make my drink whilst slamming down the shaker and the hostility in the air was palpable. Never have experienced such shitty customer service, she needs to quit her job and my drink tasted like shit. Go to hell she purposely messed up my drink and my friend didn't even order after seeing the encounter

Good little cafe, not a lot of seating. Couches are a little nasty, didn't want to sit in them. Yummy smoothies though.

The best local coffee and pastries place in the city. Not many locals that *don't* frequent this place.

As this is Latinx heritage month, seems like a perfect time to finally check them out. This is a tiny little store front. Most of the building is taken up by kitchen and storage. There are 2 two-tops and 1 four-top table for dining-in. Tables are very nice and the area was clean. An open kitchen over looks the dining area. A cashier stand, where you order, is to the left of the entrance. Menu boards are located on the wall above the open kitchen. A cooler across from the cashier holds bottled soda, water and tea. The cashier was super personable and answered a couple of silly questions from me. (I always have questions. So many questions!) I had to try the empanadas of course and they offer several varieties. My SO got himself a pepperoni pizza. We both grabbed bottled soda. We had an opportunity to chat a little with the cook too who is also very nice. A parton who is clearly known to the staff came in and had a long, friendly chat with staff while we ate. Just before we left some high school students came in. This is absolutely a neighborhood spot. The pastry on my empanada is very good. Flakey, thin, holds together well. I would have preferred less pastry for the amount of filling. Most bites were air. The ground beef was seasoned well enough but I think I was looking for more spice and maybe a little heat. Still, it was enjoyable. The vegetable empanada was bell peppers, onions and mushrooms with a little bit of cheese. Same result. I was looking for more filling, spice and heat. Don't get me wrong. They are good. I did enjoy them. And for all I know, this is the way abuela makes them. Everyone has their own preferences. This is just me. Take it as you will. My SO enjoyed his pizza. That's all I got from him. Sorry I can't elaborate. This is a small store front right off a neighborhood. On street parking is free. You may have to walk a bit from your parking spot, but as mentioned, this is really a neighborhood spot the locals frequent. There does not appear to be a public restroom inside. I didn't ask. Staff were lovely. Food is good.
