People putting 1 star are idiots, This place ROCKS !!! servers are fantastic, subs best in NH. keep going back read more

This place is the best subs you will ever have for the price. People saying they are too expensive are wrong. they give you their worth in meat weight. read more

Italian sub was mostly vegetables. Steak and cheese was good but I did not like the spices they sprinkled on, had a garlic taste. Prices were sky high. UPDATE: I tried the Steak and cheese again. Firstly, I called in my order and the girl that answered the phone was distracted and laughing- couldn't get my name right. I almost felt like she was doing it on purpose. She kept calling me jack and my name sounds nothing like that. She kept giggling. The sub was expensive, top dollar for a sub, even compared to downtown Boston. I opened up the sub and to my surprise- it wasn't cut in half and I was on the road with no knife. Imagine eating a large sub in it's entirety instead of a manageable half. Now imagine a complete large sub that's bending while you hold it and as you are trying to bite it cleanly the steak has not been completely chopped up and it's got chewy gristle pieces that pull more steak out of the sub as you are eating it. The steak was low quality with gristly strings that chewed like bubblegum. I asked for extra cheese- totally dry on the top with some cheese on the bun side. The key to a perfect steak and cheese is the cheese distribution and tender steak without any gristly bits. This $18+ sub was a complete failure. Overall, I will not be visiting again. This place has low standards for their food and their employees but they charge top dollar. Poor leadership really shines through here. You can let a bunch of kids horse around in your sub shop but sooner or later it will cost the owners their business. They got to have fun and laugh but in the end the owners will cry. I really wanted to like this place, it reminded me of the good days when food was delicious and real but alas, the good old days are gone and they are never coming back. Everything has been cheapened to the max and profits are maximized. read more

Found my way back again to this delicious Small Sub Shop with a Big Taste to savor my hearty appetite after a good hike at Bensons Park. Of course I craved the chicken salad sub loaded with diced pickles, topped with house spices. I couldn't believe I missed seeing the Deluxe Chicken Bomb too! Oh yes I ordered that too plus more. Great service, friendly people and smells fantastic:) *I recommend read more

Had a steak bomb here as everyone recommended going here for a sub. It was worth the hype. Even though I could get a good quality steak bomb sub for a fraction of the price from Market Basket, Bill Cahills proved to me that they are legit. The shaved steak was exactly the quality of a steak bomb I strive for. Service was good, and they were pretty quick considering they are so busy for a small place. I'll be back there for sure! read more

The subs are delicious . Even the smalls are packed with meat and veggies . Big subs .

Place is a joke. My sub didn't have lettuce or oil and vinegar that I ordered . My daughter's Italian sub wrap had raw onions and peppers (name a 7 year old that would eat that) and not the lettuce or tomatoes we asked for. The wrap is dry and crumbled apart. The oddest part is my husbands Italian sub had cooked onions and peppers? Why was his cooked and hers raw? And why did they put raw onions and peppers when it wasn't ordered on hers? No point in going back I'd rather just warn others/ they don't listen. read more

Bill Cahill's Super Subs - No lettuce pickle tomato. Just raw peppers and onions that weren't ordered. And a very dry crumbly wrap. Supposed to be Italian. - Sandwiches Near Me - Hudson, New Hampshire

Pulled over for a snack with a partner and first glance was I thought "a rundown store", turns out it's a great hole in the wall with the best team there. Full of teen to college aged gentlemen waiting attentively on your word of what you like! I came at a dead time but 4 customers rolled in as soon as I ordered, a local place for a nice place to bite. Except the bite is basically 2 meals in 1 sandwich haha Ordered the beef and potato foot long (forgot to get photos) but they absolutely stack the meat in your sandwich to the point it's bulging! 5/5 would come back again for the fast service and convenient eats! read more

Great old time subs. Steaks are great, real crab meat on friday til they run out. Service as quick as they can be. Usually jammed at meal times and saturdays. Ambiance is a good, '50's style sub shop. I grew up in brighton mass in the 50's and 60's so i was brought up on the good stuff, and this is in that catagory. Subs are delicious and huge, enjoy read more

That steak and cheese ever I never get any indigestion. Fire chicken too. If you're in the area, it is a must try . read more

I Do have to say one of the best steak bombs without salami with mayo that I've had in a long time Full of steak with the right amount of cheese Loved it and took half home read more

I've been going to Cahill since I moved up here in 86 always been great. The last time I went and got a steak and cheese it was half the steak. I usually got in a sandwich. I don't mind paying for a sandwich if it's good and I went there yesterday and it had so much fat I couldn't even eat half of it, I had to throw it away. I called Cahill's and they said they had a new Cook and that was the problem, but never offered me anything so I think I'll find another sub shop two in a row. read more

Not good. Need to overhaul the menu and train all the kids how to cook/prep subs. They're friendly. They just don't know how to make a sub. Meatball parm had an old sauce that had peppers and onions in it for some reason. Cheese steak was very dry and lacked season. Italian had salami cut very thick and more pickles than every other ingredient combined (and I asked for no pickles). read more

Cahill's always comes through with the best value for your dollar in the area. Their steak subs are legendary and a large has an insane amount of meat on it which could be seasoned better. I suggest the steak bomb with extra cheese, get 200 napkins and don't attempt to eat this thing in your car. Also you have approx 3 minutes to consume this before the bread bottoms out on to your lulus. read more

Best sub around. Hands down. Friendly and consistent quality. Priced right as well. Everything is good there. read more

The two subs I had were an Italian, it was fantastic and huge with all the proper ingredients, and a chicken salad that was absolutely delicious and huge. I will be a repeat customer!! read more

Calling to order a sub is a nightmare as the phone lines are consistently busy and there's only one. Brilliant system in 2022. Parking stinks. Ordered a regular Italian and this is the amount of cold cuts for $10? I'd rather go to Jersey Mike's or get more for my dollar at Market Basket. Flavor was decent but never again. read more

Been buying subs from here for almost 40 years. Always loved the size of the subs. I told everyone about it. Everyone would tell me I was not wrong. Big bang for the buck. Now not so much. Owner raised the prices of his subs then started putting less meat in them. I would pay the new prices if they didn't skimp out on size of sub. But to raise prices and skimp, I draw the line. Twice in last month I bought subs. Both very small and no way the same amount of meat inside these subs. I usually buy a sm veal cutlet. It came with 3-4 slices of breaded veal. Last two I bought only came with 2 little slices. There was more bread then anything else. I use to struggle eating 1 of their subs. Now 2 or 3 bits and it's gone. Not worth the price hike in my eyes. Owner should remove the "SUPER" from his business name & Signage as this place is no longer SUPER, sorry to say. read more

Steak and cheese was huge! Pretty tasty as well. Fast service and an older gentleman was a peach. Maybe he was the owner? He said they've been in business since 1982! read more

Big subs. Bread is soft and fresh. The hot pepper relish is delicious but they put it on top, making the sub very messy to eat. Not really a place that you would stay and eat, it is more of a to-go kind of place. I would go back again! read more

Well I'm really sad to see it go down in quality a little. It's Still good , but much smaller subs than before. You are known For the giant meat filled subs! So Had the Italian ..no meat on it, salami , ham and mortadella / capoicola are cheap, Fill it up like before. Just saying. read more

Nothing real special about it. Just a sub shop. If you don't mind young kids making your food and charging you top dollar

Being from New Jersey I know a good sub when I eat one. The only subs I've gotten from here are the crab and sea food salad. Both are excellent and very fresh. Their regular sub is huge but I always manage to finish it. Strictly takeout. read more

When we pulled up to this place, it looked like a little fisherman's shack. Going inside it's a blast from the past, very cozy. The employees were very nice and crazy quick, it took no longer than 2 minutes for 3 large subs. The quality of the Italian sub was amazing, the meat and the vegetables were fresh. The steak sub was high quality too, there was so much meat and a good amount of cheese. Great place, will stop by again when we're in the area. read more

Very disappointed! Their "crabmeat", only available on Fridays, is heavily cut with imitation crab meat. The stuff at the deli usually made with pollack fish. read more

Steak and cheese is great everything else is just ok or not good, They over do the condiments on the could cut subs like the Italian but it taste good. The meatball sub is gross. Chicken parm is just ok. I eat the steak and cheese all the time it's a great sandwich. The kids that work here are great at their jobs and they are always polite and you never see any of them just standing around doing nothing they look like hard workers. Never received a wrong order from here read more

In the early 2000's I went to Cahills on many days ( 50 + ) and on Fridays, always for the crapmeat sub. While expensive, I considered it worth the price. Today, I went back, for the first time, in a long time, and the sub I got ( $17.90 ) was not even close to the one I used to get. They did not even I wanted to give me the change back for the purchase. They were good, in the past, but are living on what happened in the past. Go there with low expectations of what things were like in the past, because they have changed, and not for the better.. read more

This sub shop is a Hudson landmark! When my husband and I first bought our home, we did not know how to describe where it was. We did not know anything about the "old" Benson's and it had not been renovated yet. But we learned that if we mentioned Cahill's everyone knew exactly where we lived and shared their favorite Cahill's sub that we *had* to try! Hot or cold, I have to say, I have not had a problem with any of my subs! Oh yeah, if you call food falling out of the roll a problem... bring it on! The portions are huge! Don't say that I didn't warn you. Make sure that you try at least one of the steak bombs, a chicken, tuna, or lobster salad sub, and one from the "other" categories read more

The best! No better subs ANYWHERE, hands down! Great quality, price and service. Favorites are the steak, seafood salad and tuna. A Hudson, NH treasure for years! read more

Stopped by on my way back from Nashua. A friend told me "that place has the best subs" so I was glad to check it out. This place is the real deal for subs. It is not a fancy place. It is small, kinda of divey, and located on a small lot in the middle of a traffic island. Inside a busy team (owner and younger woman) were all very eager to take my order. I had a 12" steak & cheese with mild hots. Bread was fresh & soft, lean and tender, and the sandwich was very tasty. $9 and some change. I thought it was a bit much for a sub (no drink or chips) but it was a very good sandwich. I would (and will) return. read more

Stopped on the way home yesterday. I quickly read some reviews on Yelp that steered me towards an Italian and a Cheesesteak. The Cheesesteak was great, but the Italian was good. I will definitely go back for a steak bomb! read more

We love Bill Cahill's! On fridays, they do a great crab meat sub, add salt and pepper and it's delicious! Call ahead for quick service!

Been coming here for as long as I can remember, easily over 20 yrs. I've brought friends and family from east and west coast here and have always said it's the last great place specific to being from Hudson, NH. Unfortunately the last few visits I've seen a raise in price and reduction in quality and portion size. Very frustrating to repeat a 3 sub order 3 times and on the fourth time have the young employee write it down and the order still come out wrong ( my last visit being Saturday 11/2 there were maybe 7 other customers in at the time ) I know that it can get extremely busy and hectic in there, might be time to have these kids writing orders out and maybe having someone over the age of 18 present to make sure things are being done correctly. read more

Hands down the best sub shop in Hudson. I used to bike here with my friends when we were early teens and was top notch then. And just this week 30+ yrs later was visiting family and stopped over for take out lunch with my son. Bill was there and the subs still amazing! The pickles are the absolute best - I haven't found them cubed and tasty like this anywhere else. Meats are always fresh and the other veggies good too. They don't skimp on filling the sub with contents. No way could I eat a large in one sitting nowadays. Get there and enjoy ! read more

I'm from Philly it's definitely not close to a really Philly cheesesteak. My husband got the cheesesteak and I got the chicken bomb which I believed would be like a philly chicken steak, but it wasn't and was chunks of chicken. I was mildly disappointed. Like I knew it wouldn't be what I'm used to but good for what I've had in New Hampshire. read more

I was trying to remember the name of this place because I went with a coworker as we were coming back from a conference in Rhode Island. It was the best steak and cheese I've had. Granted I haven't had an official from Philly, but this has to be as good as it gets. Thanks Yelp for reminding me I've been here and for giving me the name of this place so I can recommend it to friends in the area. Get the steak bomb and a bag of chips with a root beer. You're welcome! read more

This place is a staple of Hudson. When comparing subs, this is who we compare them TO. Big portions, huge bang for your buck. Delicious always. My personal favorites are cheesesteak, tuna, or Pufta. The staff takes your order without writing it down, and after decades of visits, I have YET to have an order wrong. read more
