Pasta with chicken and Chicken Broccoli Alfredo

Got chicken and broccoli Alfredo takeout, and they FORGOT THE ALFREDO SAUCE. It was just pasta, melted cheese, and cold broccoli and chicken.

Place is alright. Their pizza is not my thing but their Sicilian slices are good. Hamburgers not bad. Haven't tried anything else.

Very good sandwiches. Prices are a bit steep, but the sangies are worth it! I've never tried the pizza so can't comment on that.

We've had a few different kinds, and all of them have been perfect. The pizza every single time has been fantastic. The crust is so good, it's not greasy or soggy, and it tastes fresh and really perfect. The burgers and fries are really very good. The mozzarella sticks, though I could do without the stuff they sprinkle on top of them, are perfect. We've dined in and we've taken out. The dining in experience can be a bit loud, with a bustling bar and large parties of children and adults seated at tables, three or four tvs with all different sports going on, and music playing, but it smells so darned good in there, but you have to be in the mood for a crowd if you dine in during a busy time. When you do, the food is hot and fresh, and the beer for those who drink seems nice and cold. Pizza and beer. (Or no beer.) How excellent.

Went through DoorDash asked for everything to be re-delivered said it would be an hour. The food obviously was not picked up originally and had been sitting at grand finale the whole time they realized it gave the new DoorDash, our old food. I called them to let them know. The pizzas were cold. Nothing was remade and they basically denied it telling me this food was made fresh as if I don't know what a cold pizza is. Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.

Despite all that, I can tell you upfront that our experience was more or less sublime. Naturally, there was one setback in particular that I just can't ignore (which we'll cover later). First, the good.. Clam chowder: Now, this was a March special. So, it's not on the regular menu, far as I can tell. But let me just say...this is by FAR some of the best damn chowder I've had in a restaurant! Granted, we're in New England. So, I'd expect nothing less. Just the same, it's worth mentioning. This chowder was perfectly seasoned to the point of not needing anything additional. And it had ALL the clams! SO many clams!! 10 out of 10, they really need to make this one more often! Queso dip: Again, we have a cheese sauce that's beautifully seasoned and creamy as all get out. One thing that perplexed us was the meat (or lack there of). We thought it would consist of larger chunks, but it was minced. Odd. I also would have enjoyed this one a lot more if the chips weren't so heavily salted. 8 out of 10, the cheese sauce is like liquid gold. Tavern burger: One thing I noticed both here and at the Derry location - not one person had taken a photo of the burgers. Like....ANY of them. So, I'm a guy who likes to view what he's about to get into. Far as first impressions go, this burger looked delectable! I'm talkin' the perfect charred sear, temperature nailed, cheese beautifully melted over top. Not to mention the kaiser rolls they used were brilliantly crisp on the outside, with a soft interior. Thing is....this burger would have been damn near perfect, if not for one thing: it was under seasoned. Quite weird, considering the hand cut fries were well seasoned. 9 out of 10, I'd still get this again and just sprinkle salt on the bottom or something. And for those wondering, wifey enjoyed her salmon salad also. Now then, I came across something peculiar when we first entered the place. When I went to utilize the facilities, one of the restrooms was allegedly closed for maintenance reasons. I say "allegedly" because, turns out....that was only HALF true. You see, their sink was broken. Okay. Fine. Whatever. It would have been helpful if they, ya know....mentioned the sink was broken as opposed to letting everyone THINK the restroom itself was ostensibly closed (as per the sign on the door). The whole thing was misleading and, quite frankly, unnecessary. Felt like a damn goober standing there in front of an almost perfectly functioning restroom. Btw, yes....they had hand sanitizer at the ready to accommodate the lack of sink in one bathroom. Anyway, service was excellent. Just a note though: it's loud as hell in here as you can very well imagine a bar & grill would be. But I weathered the storm easily thanks to my Loop Earplugs (no, that's not a plug. I swear!). So, yeah....overall, not that bad. No where near as bad as some folks suggested. Perhaps that was a different time. In any event, we shall return for future date nights. Till then, Friendly Red's Tavern in Windham is worth 4 bad ass burgers charred to utter perfection out of 5.

Today I ordered the habanero steak Caesar salad which I've had many times. Although I ordered the steak medium it was brought out well done. Additionally the lettuce was virtually floating in dressing. Inedible. Now, the scant 3 oz of steak comes sliced and so the chef AND waiter obviously saw that it was black inside, not pink. I wanted to send it back but our waiter never checked on us until the meal was done. Maybe because he knew it was cooked poorly. I waited but finally ate about half and only told him about the problems when he later asked if I wanted to take the rest home. He came back a few minutes later and said he brought it to a managers attention and they agreed it was incorrectly cooked, and they would be giving me a gift card. We paid our bill and waited another 15/20 minutes but he never returned with a gift card so we left. Ps- it wasn't busy. Now, 1. I never return food unless I have confidence in the reliability of the kitchen staff (which I did not here) and 2. Although I didn't have the intention of asking for a refund or gift card, once it was offered by the waiter it should have been presented. $27 for a salad with 3 oz of chewy overcooked beef and half a bottle of dressing is way too much! There are many excellent restaurants around this area to waste my money here.

While that may appeal to some customers, it created an extremely loud environment that felt more like a bar than a restaurant. Between the amplified music, announcements, and crowd participation, it was difficult to have a normal conversation at our table. For diners looking for a quieter meal, it's worth knowing that Wednesday nights may not be the best time to visit. The service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening, and most of the food was good. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread, Grilled Chicken Pesto, and a Mango Poke Bowl. I understand there was a recent menu change, which is why my daughter decided to try the poke bowl. Unfortunately, while the ingredients seemed fresh, she felt the sauce didn't complement the dish well and threw off the overall flavor. Given the $26 price tag, that was disappointing. The pricing was another area that stood out. Most of the menu is on the higher end of casual dining, but what really caught my attention was the $5.99 charge for a bottle of San Pellegrino. Restaurant markups are expected, but nearly six dollars for bottled sparkling water felt excessive. Overall, Dreo has friendly service and some solid food options, but the combination of premium pricing, the disappointing poke bowl, and the very loud trivia-night atmosphere made it difficult to fully enjoy the experience. I would consider returning on a quieter night, but I think customers should be made more aware of how loud trivia nights can be before being seated.
