We didn't have to wait long for a spot at the counter. The spacious dining area probably helped with the short wait. The ambiance is cozy and warm with a subtle gnome theme. Our waitress was very knowledgable (helpful with my husband's food allergies) and friendly. She also gave us a heads up when our food was coming, although weren't in a rush. This place has spectacular food with even better service to go with it. The bread is always fresh and awesome, the rice bowls are very good with alot of wiggle room to really customize how you like it. They also have quesadillas and salads that are also great. Not sure what Mike S' problem is considering the only real feedback he gave on his experience was about the UTZ chips...which Great American doesn't make...The majority of his review seems to be just him mad about the name of the store and associates it with far right political ideologies simply cause the word "Great" is in front of the word "American" which definitely sent him into a triggered state resulting in what he probably thought was a good review. "Sorry Londonderry, I'm not impressed." I dont think Mike understands the difference between an actual food critic and Yelp reviewer, hopefully somebody helps him out with that someday. Did he try the bread? Why did he expect an "authentic" Asian style rice bowl? Did he really start his review off by complaining about UTZ Chips? I also noticed he tried to tell other brown skinned people not to go here in the end of his review, big yikes right there buddy. The place has been open for 20+ years and has been the go to sub shop ever since for good reason, because its the best! So suck it Mike S, take your review and blow it out your rear! read more

Great America Subs (GAS) is not only top notch food but the best Utz chips I've ever had, they must come straight from the warehouse into my mouth. Mike S. should be publicly tarred and feathered in Londonderry center for his review. Nowhere does GAS ever claim to have authentic rice bowls, they are just straight gas. I'm not sure what Mike S. Was referencing with the name and style of food served. Seems a bit racial to me but GAS has something for everyone in the land of the free. I called to see if they delivered. The gentleman I spoke to explained to me that they didn't have a delivery driver until later on that day. I respectfully asked if he knew of any other delivery places around the area and explained that I wasn't from town and was working close by by couldn't leave the job site. The gentleman I was speaking to said he would help me out and deliver me some lunch. Very professional and went above and beyond. Thank you again! Highly recommend great American subs! Getting on 93s from Londonderry we stopped in for bite to eat before heading to Boston- The steak and cheese sub that I had I will hands down crown as THE BEST STEAK AND CHEESE SUB I HAVE EVER HAD. Just had my first visit tonight on my way home from work. I picked up a meal for my husband and I. I don't usually write Yelp reviews but the service here was so good and the owner Rick personally recommended my meal and it was fantastic just like he promised. I got the italian sub and my husband a steak and cheese. He said both were a specialty of the shop and he was right. BEST ITALIAN I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I am a regular here and finally got around to writing a yelp review. I think I have tried over a dozen things on the menu and they are all fantastic. The subs/wraps always come out quick and fresh. The bread they use is amazing. I always finish my meal off with one of those cookies on the counter. So delicious! Its the only place I visit on a weekly basis and I will continue to go there as long as it stays as good as it is. read more

I am not someone to eat subs and when I do, usually get a wrap vs roll. After seeing my son with a sub from Great American today, i definitely wanted one! So hubby and I ordered online for pick up which was very convenient. He had Steak bomb and I had steak and cheese. Absolutely will be ordering again! And I had the roll!!
