This review is only for breakfast. There's ample parking for this spot which is shared with a medical building next door. Once walking in it splits between a bar and dinner. You will be greeted once walking in and the service was on point. I came here on a Friday morning and was greeted and seated really quickly. I ordered the country skillet and it was amazing! Had nice country gravy over bacon and sausages. It was a huge amount and had to get a box to bring the rest home. I also ordered some cinnamon roll pancakes. I really enjoyed them as they weren't overly sweet and had a great taste. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. So if you're interested in looking for a new breakfast spot, be sure to give them a try.

8oz Steak tip dinner - A black plastic container with a clear lid contains French fries and several pieces of cooked steak, placed on a brown paper surface.

Ok so I'm split - on one hand, they have some pretty good beers on tap and decent happy hour specials so dining in is def preferred. However, my boyfriend & I live a few minutes away and just wanted to pick up takeout on the way home...Now, my baked haddock with rice and salad was good, I'd definitely get it again! Buuuut, for $20 - this is the steak tip and fries you get? (Plus side salad not show) come on Northside, if this was served in-house, this would notttt fly.

already enjoying the NY strip - A medium-rare steak with grill marks is on a white plate, partially eaten, with juices and herbs visible.

But I strictly waited until I…read morewas finally able to eat in the dining area so that I could give a full perspective of the food as well as the service and decor. First off, the staff are SO friendly here! The bar lady who was describing the specials to me seemed wicked eager about a few of them. I wondered if she had practiced that speech in front of a mirror every night before bed. Or perhaps she really does love those specials (even though I can't remember what they are at the moment). Next, we have the interior. Now....a brief background for the non-locals not familiar with the history of this location: In the not too distant past, this place used to be called "Donna's Place", which was subsequently shutdown for reasons unbeknownst to me. However, the general layout is similar to its predecessor; with the exception of the table rearrangements. They ostensibly retained the bar and even threw in a few add-ons to the overhead. Also, just a caveat when you first arrive: you have to use the side entrance instead of the one facing the street. Okay. We gotta talk about the coffee real quick. While the roast itself presents a nice bold flavor, I gotta tell ya....this coffee mug is HUUUUUGE!! I swear to you they bring out like, a bucket of coffee. Thing must be at least 16 ounces! I took a picture of it next to a standard size sugar container for comparison. Friggin' HUUUUUUGE! So far, my all time go-to breakfast is the build your own omelet with cheddar cheese, tomato, and onions with a side of homefries and toast. I've had this combo with and without ham, plus a side of bacon. But I was really curious about the infamous homemade hash. And so it was. I'm still the misfit who prefers canned hash over homemade. However, this one exceeded my expectations. Ordinarily, I'm forced to get used to the trend of homemade hash consisting of shoe-leathery brisket mixed with potatoes, all of which is typically bland. But not this hash. GP's hash is surprisingly well seasoned and tender! It's strange, but almost like a combination of canned and homemade. The corned beef is minced similarly like canned, only with a different texture. It's tricky to explain to folks unfamiliar with hash. All I'm saying is....definitely give this one a try. The omelets here are phenomenal! That's all there is to say, really. Sure, they could be seasoned up a bit (along with the potatoes). But this is the restaurant biz. Chefs have to play it safe when it comes to salt, after all. As many know, I'm always down for supporting my local hot spots. And this one will certainly remain a continual revisit for moi. Therefore, I'll give The Good Place 5 sensationally built omelets with all the fixins and a side of hash out of 5.

Sadly, it wasn't that good! Got the biscuits and gravy.. Grossest gravy ever. Could not even eat…read moreit! Yuck!!!

I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. The waitress was very friendly and told us we can choose wherever we wanted to sit. We came at a good time because it quickly started filling up soon after 11am. They have several specials up on the wall which sounded very good. I decided to try their lobster Benedict and my boyfriend went with their pumpkin French toast, both were specials. We were quickly served coffee which came with bottomless refills and our entrees came out soon after. The service was very fast! The tots were perfectly crunchy and the lobster was mouthwatering delicious! I couldn't stop devouring it because the English muffin was drenched with butter! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and I quickly ate everything to my surprise. I tried my boyfriends French toast and it was very good and very rich. We were very full but satisfied by the end of our meal. What a great little diner!

Don't get me wrong, it's not NEEDED, but man oh man do they taste amazing. Right off the bat I settled in. We have a long standing tradition - try all the meats. There's been more than a handful of times we were put at a "normal" two seat table - and had to get a second one dragged over to help with all the food ‍ My wife usually gets some form of Benedict - she's a "light hollandaise" gal and can never seem to get that so she always gets it on the side.
