Hash & Cheese Omelette with House Bloody

Just had a wonderful dining experience at North Side Grille. Alyssa gave spectacular service to our group of 14. She made it possible for all of us to sit together comfortably. We were able to have separate checks. Our drinks & food came out in a timely fashion & were prepared correctly. We were not rushed. I had an omelette that was delicious. I will certainly return. Thank you.

Lobster Mac $38. The part that ticks me off most is the restaurant saw the same thing I see, you see, and still sent it out of their kitchen and handed it to me. Waste of money. High prices, gassly food.

This review is only for breakfast. There's ample parking for this spot which is shared with a medical building next door. Once walking in it splits between a bar and dinner. You will be greeted once walking in and the service was on point. I came here on a Friday morning and was greeted and seated really quickly. I ordered the country skillet and it was amazing! Had nice country gravy over bacon and sausages. It was a huge amount and had to get a box to bring the rest home. I also ordered some cinnamon roll pancakes. I really enjoyed them as they weren't overly sweet and had a great taste. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. So if you're interested in looking for a new breakfast spot, be sure to give them a try.

Ok so I'm split - on one hand, they have some pretty good beers on tap and decent happy hour specials so dining in is def preferred. However, my boyfriend & I live a few minutes away and just wanted to pick up takeout on the way home...Now, my baked haddock with rice and salad was good, I'd definitely get it again! Buuuut, for $20 - this is the steak tip and fries you get? (Plus side salad not show) come on Northside, if this was served in-house, this would notttt fly.

Meaning to click on someone's check-in or something, I ended up clicking on this diner instead. I read the menu, saw they had one of my all time favorites (the hash & eggs), then I was instantly sold! Naturally, the hash & eggs lived up to their rep. Cookies offers both canned and house made hash (though I almost always choose the former for personal reasons) and the homefries were well seasoned and crispy on the outside. Unfortunately, as with most breakfast places, they can't seem to butter toast very well. A minor inconvenience, at worst. My recommendation would be to maybe sub this for a bagel with cream cheese (note to self), unless you're one of those jam on toast types. In which case, have at you. The coffee was decent. Obviously a breakfast blend that's not too bold. But at least it didn't taste like tea. Now, I gotta talk about the layout real quick, because it's rather unique. You may have noticed in the outside photo that there's two entrances. That's because the one on the right is meant for handicapped accessibility (hence the ramp). I have to say...that's rather thoughtful of them. Of course, given the inordinately high volume of senior citizens residing in NH, why am I even surprised? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also, the interior is interesting because it has these two sections; the main dining area where the restrooms are also located, and a smaller back area with a mini bar and a few other tables. If you manage to be seated at one of the tables along the middle of both areas, there's this open window where you can view the mini bar and kitchen. This is also where the servers operate from if you're sitting at said tables. I hope I described that accurately, since taking photos of the interior without accidentally capturing a few faces was next to impossible. So, would I return? Certainly, if I ever manage to convince the wifey to join me (she's not what you'd call an early riser). The food here is very diner-esque (IYKYK) and I dare say rivals that of The Good Place on Lowell road. I'm giving Cookies Diner 4 plates of savory hash & eggs out of 5.

Pros: $20 for a full rack of ribs with a side is a fair price. They were pretty tender. Mozzarella sticks were good. Caesar salad was solid. Cons: Regular fries weren't crunchy at all. Waiter was nice enough but seemed like he was a bit out of it. Cornhole is $25 bucks for an hour and seemed like a good spot to enjoy a game with a lot of TVs around. ** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.
