We didn't get a refill on our water although we were almost done with our water by the time our meal came. I ordered the French dip and it was a nice shaved prime rib sandwich. My fries were lukewarm and were somewhat scrawny looking. My partner ordered the same dish and his fries were average size and hot. Maybe he got fries from a fresh batch. When I heard the chopping on the flat top, I knew I should have read the menu more carefully and asked how it's prepared prior to ordering, Next time I'll know, I'll ask for their steak and cheese with a side of au jus, hopefully those are bigger for the same $18. The prices for everything on the menu are astronomical for what you are getting. Food quality is subpar for sure. I'm not a food snob by any means, yet here I am. However, I do know what a French dip is and what a steak and cheese is. I'm apologetic for not getting a picture. But imagine a steak and cheese sub from Papa Gino's, throw a very thin, and by thin I mean I mean covering about a 2" wide piece of cheese covering about 20% of your sandwich of shredded beef and throw it on a ciabatta. The menu calls it shaved prime rib. Absolutely does not taste or look like that. It absolutely resembles a Papa Gino's ground beef. I ate half of it to give it a solid chance, but I couldn't justify eating the whole thing. I work hard and don't have much time to eat out. I decided to try a new place and I regret it. Won't be back here as my neighbor at the bar got the shrimp scampi, and it had maybe 3 pieces of small shrimp and a low quality pasta. The garlic bread was incredibly small. Obviously a, locals hang out. But not for those seeking quality food. The bartender called it "their version of a prime rib". Beer selection is great. read more

Had a friend local to this restaurant recommend eating here and it was a great experience. The food was really tasty - I got mozeralla triangles for an appetizer and the shephard's pie for my dinner. The beer on tap was great. The staff was very friendly. We also met the owner that night, who was also very friendly. Our waiter was on point with everything. I also normally don't order desert when I eat out, but my experience here was so great that I had to order some to complete my great evening. I am updating my review after several visits earlier this year. We sat outside as they have a nice patio, which is also pet friendly. We ordered various food/appetizers and the severs did a good job bringing out the drinks and meals despite covid and a labor shortage. The burgers and salads were fresh and well prepared. Grill 603 probably has the best wings in the area and we've ordered take-out several times just for this item. We will return again when we have a chance. read more

Recently ate outside on their patio on a nice sunny Spring day. Soft classic rock was playing in the background loud enough to hear but at a level where you could still have a nice conversation too. Had the honey chicken fried sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. Had the Asian Chicken Salad with homemade dressing and also very good and both were good size portions. Flying solo one night so opted for dinner out, thought I'd try a new to me place. Got the shrimp poppers and the baked stuffed haddock. The shrimp was great, perfectly cooked (it's easy to cremate those little shrimp) and I *loved* the zippy remoulade sauce. I'll get that again. The haddock was a major disappointment. Instead of the usual piece of fish topped with a breadcrumb or cracker-crumb and seafood stuffing that insulates it from the oven heat, the overcooked and underseasoned slab of fish sat atop a heap of large, soggy chunks of sliced bread (like you'd make a turkey stuffing out of) with a few lonely scraps of shrimp. Avoid it. Service was fine. Prices were ok. I'll give this place at least one more chance - as I said, the shrimp was great. read more

Food was good overall but some dishes had issues. The pot pie was sauce-heavy with not nearly enough vegetables. The biggest mistake was the pork chops. They were underseasoned and undercooked. Came here for dinner with hubby as we like trying new places. We started with the Spinach Artichoke dip which came with Pita like chips. They were the star of the dish. Not sure how they cook those but I could have eaten all of them myself. Would definitely get that again!! I had the Bourbon BBQ Bistro Filet tips and OMG they were so good which came with bacon risotto and I opted for Broccoli instead of Asparagus . Everything was tasteful and I would definitely get again. I even had enough for leftovers to take home. My husband had the St. Louis Ribs. He said they were ok, maybe a lil dry but the seasoning was good. Our server was Ryley and she was great ! The ambience reminds me of a good local place to go and hang. The only thing I have negatively say is the way the hostess was dressed in a t-shirt and short shorts, not a good look unless you're at Hooters. Not something I want to see while eating . The food here is really good, i just have a suggestion for the cook. I ordered the steak n cheese sub thats made with the flat iron steak. Please after you cook the meat you need to cut the meat to smaller sizes. I couldn't eat the sub the way it was. I cut the sub in half and that was a chore. The meat was just way to big. I ended up removing all the meat and cheese and just ate that leaving the sub role. I really didn't enjoy the meal. The meat was about 2" long and thick, have you ever tried to eat this sub made like this yourself it's really not enjoyable. Having the sub squueze out the meat n cheese when you bite into it. I'm really surprised that the server didn't say anything when she saw the sub role. Oh well i know not to get that again. read more

Grill 603 opened a week ago (Sept 9) in the former Chapanga's Griddle & Grill in Milford, just west of the downtown area on Elm Street. For now, they are open for dinner 5pm to 9pm, but soon will be open for lunch too. Like Chapanga's, the place has front and side dining areas with tables and chairs, TVs, and a full bar. There is also a spacious outdoor patio area in front of the restaurant with umbrella covered table seating and an area for live entertainment. I stopped by here for dinner recently and decided to be seated on the patio since it was nice outside. I started out with ice water while I looked over the menu. The menu here is pretty streamlined currently which offers salads, soup of the day, appetizers, Angus burgers, chicken rueben, pasta, chicken tenders, pork chops, steak frites, ribeye steak, baked haddock, glazed salmon, and desserts, plus a kids menu. The prices here are moderate, most entrees $10-$25 range. For a starter, the Fried Calamari ($11) consisted of a modest portion of lightly breaded baby calamari rings, fried crispy and golden, served with a chunky marinara sauce for dipping. For dinner, the Chicken Rueben ($10) served with crispy golden fries & dill pickle spear looked slapped on, like a mess and a firew@rk exploded the sandwich consisting of toasted rye bread slices (falling apart) with tender pieces of grilled chicken, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, & Russian dressing. The rueben tasted pretty good, but the presentation and care definitely needs work. The service here was adequate. The starter and entree was served at the same time, which was okay with me. The waitress checked up on me to see if I needed anything else. The owner also came out to check on me too. The total check with tax & before tip was $22.89. Overall, the food here was decent and slightly overpriced for what I was served. I would probably return to Grill 603 once the "bugs" are worked out due to recently opening for business and the regular hours become standard. read more

When this place opened we would have rated it a 4. To be fair, the food quality has changed. My husband typically ordered the pork chops and he raved about them. They were moist and they were huge. We have noticed that they have gotten smaller and were dry. Tonight, we both ordered the baked haddock. We found the fish be dry and tastless. We will not be going back. Decided to venture out to Milford for lunch and picked this place from the usual Yelp search and menu review. What a great spot! Greeted by a nice and friendly host who we could tell was smiling behind his mask. Very accommodating he sat us at the bar. Bartender was welcoming and full of smiles - we felt like regulars from the start. Food was great. Mozzarella triangles, chicken Ruben and a to die for lobstah roll. Arrived at about 6pm on a Saturday night. Busy but not jammed. Hostess needs an attitude adjustment, but we were seated promptly and our waitress came right away. Spinach and artichoke Dip included specially prepared pita triangles (flash fried and addictive) with a hot cream cheese-based dip. It was flavorful, but I'm not a big fan of cream cheese-based dips...it's a consistency thing. GF had the salmon entree (green beans substituting for asparagus), and I had the fish and chips.
