The other reviews are correct, slow service for good food. Great for us on a lazy road trip, not the place if you are in a hurry. Burger was great! We stopped in Hollis specifically because it is my son's name, he got a kick out of it!

We were traveling through towns and just so happened to come across this restaurant. We all had breakfast. To my surprise they had home cooked corned beef hash which was so good. Breakfast is breakfast. It was all good. What we really enjoyed were all the flowers, vegetables, and the grape arbors around the restaurant. It was beautiful and we took our time taking pictures of flowers. My friends are artists and will use the pictures to inspire their art work. The waitress was nice. It took a little time to get our food but we understand times are different in the time of Covid. I would definitely go back.

I took a moment to read some of these negative comments and wondered if I had eaten in the same establishment these people are speaking about. My both breakfast experiences were nothing less than amazing! I am a foodie and have dined places that run the gamut from complete garbage to first class. I found the Hollis Country Kitchen to be a little slice of home. I just wish my mom could have assembled meals this tasty. After eating here the first time on August 12, upon a recommendation from my long term friend of 40 years and Hollis resident I took another friend here that I had not seen in over 42 years. I asked Steve where I could get a good quality breakfast that would not break the bank. We were first impressed by our young waitress who was cute as a button with a wonderful personality. It turned out that her full time job was a school teacher. WE had some great conversation and some great food. After we finished our meal I asked to meet the chef who in fact was the owner Catherine Hyland. We both complimented her on our waitress, the quality and quantity and quality of the food and the decor. YES...ok, it is a bit noisy, but this is a family restaurant and I felt it ads to the ambiance. If the sound of people enjoying conversation bothers you, you can always sit outside where things are a bit quieter. I was so impressed with this place that I returned again on August 18, with an old college buddy just before leaving town to return here to Arizona. Unfortunately our original waitress was not working that day but the other waitress was just as nice. As before, food was ample and extremely tasty. I called out Catherine again to say good bye and let her know how please we were with her presentation and to let her know I would return soon again. This place is a little slice of home. Prices are not cheap but far from expensive. Believe me, I work hard for my money and I do gripe when things are overpriced, I just did not feel that way here. I would definatly try this place for breakfast. Please take a moment to view the photos of my experience.

Food was excellent. Outdoor seating was pretty and the staff was very friendly. The only thing prevented 5 stars the was incredibly long wait for our food. Also, no beer, wine or liquor. Again, service was friendly was very very slow. If time is not a factor, I highly recommend.

You guys. I think I just found a new favorite breakfast place. And dare I say....it may even rival…read morethe likes of Brooklyn Bagel in Derry. But really though, it's just nice to have another amazing breakfast place that's a bit closer to where I live for a change. Only a couple of towns over from Nashua, MPD epitomizes what the "farm to fork" experience is all about. From the farm fresh eggs, to the perfectly toasted bread, and homefries that seem tough to come by in most places these days. And wouldn't you know it - they even offer a choice between homemade hash or the canned variety. Diners like these automatically get bonus points in my book when they offer both styles of corned beef hash! If you viewed the photos before reading this review, you already know what I got. It's my all time favorite breakfast, baby! And I'll just say....they absolutely nailed everything on the plate! 10 out of 10, would highly recommend. The servers here are wicked friendly and inviting. I would expect nothing less from a diner so quaint. Yes, the dining area is rather small. Something tells me it's a good thing I came here on a Monday because I can only imagine how packed this place must get on the weekends. Should I happen by here on a Saturday or something, I'll make sure to arrive early just in case. It's one of those "seat yourself" type places. Because when you first walk in, you can literally see the entire dining area with but a glance. That's how small it is. A hole in the wall, if you will. And they most certainly live up to the reputation. There weren't many photos at the time of me first discovering their page here on Yelp. Perhaps I'll change that, should I decide to give their curbside take-away ordering a whirl and try a custom omelet or something. Whatever my next dish is, I can already tell this will become a frequent revisit for me. I'm giving Market Place Diner 5 plates of perfected farm fresh hash & eggs out of 5.

We ordered a ham & cheese omelette with home fries, wheat toast, 1 French toast with apple topping. Our order was served reasonable amount of time. Omelette was good, homefries were small pieces of overcooked potatoes, dark toasted toast. French toast was cold and sent back to stick in the microwave. Prices were the most shocking. Omelette was $15 bucks 1 French toast was $11.50, toppings extra, of course. Our breakfast meal was $29 and definitely not worth the price. Other menu items included $8 for 2 pancakes. Take cash, they charge a 4% credit card fee. We went a few years ago and had a nice priced meal, I doubt if we'll go back, too many other better priced diners to eat from with better quality for the price.
