Prices were very reasonable too! Not the most exciting interior, but was definitely clean and taken care of. The service was great. The service was excellent. Speedy and personal. The attendant taking our order also brought our drinks to us and our meal when it was ready. The menu was large with plenty to choose from for those with varying appetites and tastes. We'd come eager for a seafood platter and we were not disappointed. It is easily portioned for one person. Although we are accustomed to sharing a platter, we should have ordered two to satisfy our appetites. We will return again to experience the roast beef, which is reported to be stellar. We saw a few customers with roast beef sandwiches and they looked amazing. Our dessert recommendation is to stay away from the ice cream until they have resupplied for the summer. My first time here. The guys cooking were hilarious and very friendly. The food was amazing. The pita for the gyro was fresh and grilled. There was a lot of meat on it. The Reuben was on Syrian bread which I've never had and was delicious. The sandwiches were priced lower than a lot of places around but the quality was excellent. Driving by this place, and I see a packed parking lot- I think ok- I like Roast Beef, why not? What I didn't know- like all Greek places should- is that they have the best Greek Egg Lemon soup in New England! No lie- I have tried the so called "best" and they are either broth- no egg- or paste- too much orzo- and all with no lemon. This is perfect! Almost like my Mama's! The Roast beef is great- medium rare, tasty, and they give you a good amount, and 3 size options. They have tons of toppings if you want to partake of them. Spanakopita was also excellent. The only thing we didn't love was the lobster roll- too much celery, and some shells- but the rest more than makes up for that! The place is cute and clean! The service is fast and friendly! Food was good. Owner/Manager's attitude left alot to be desired. Although there is nice outdoor eating space, he would not let me walk my dog while waiting for our food. He said dogs aren't allowed in the outside eating area. Since we had already ordered, he let me keep our dog with us (she's an 8lb Yorkie) as long as she stayed on my lap. He watched me like a hawk. They were small, overcooked, and more than half of the container was just clam strips. Suspect they came frozen. This go around we had fried shrimp dinner, roast beef on bun with bbq sauce and horseradish and a steak sub. All were excellent tasting. Fries and onion rings were crisp (no grease) and tasty. Holy cow- the employees at Bentley's have the Midas touch! Roast beef- tender, flavorful but not over-seasoned. Rare and shaved thin and piled high. The fried clams were the best any of us have ever had anywhere- and we frequent the coast. The haddock was sublime- so soft and moist and buttery and flaky- in a paper thin batter. Greek fries were delicious- awesome creativity. Even the coleslaw was so fresh and lightly dressed- so refreshing aside the fried parts. Fresh lemonade was nice and tart- perfect accompaniment to quench your thirst as you enjoy the lot! The surroundings are beautifully kempt- offering hard scape waterfall, fire pit, sand pit for the kiddos and plentiful picnic seating. The interior is straightforward and clean. I know there are still a few around along with the famous Kelly's Roast Beef in Revere, well if you've found yourself in New Hampshire and anywhere near Amherst, this is your Bill & Bob's to bring back memories. Just like I remember from being a kid. I haven't tried any of their other foods, such as seafood or chicken, but people were buying their baklava left and right while I was waiting for my Giant Roast Beef to arrive at about $12 including tax. It was delicious, tender beef, sliced thin and so moist, melt in your mouth; the same texture and taste as I remember as a kid north of Boston. I had to come to Yelp and post the photo! Bentley's serves the best food hands down. There Roast Beef sandwiches are absolutely delicious, the spinach pie to die for, and the seafood is so fresh that you feel like you're near the ocean. I can honestly say that this is my go to place whenever I'm hungry. The owner, Ali, is very welcoming and you can just tell that every plate is prepared as if he himself will be serving royalty! His sons Ali & Hamsa, could not be friendlier and while the place is designed to have customers get their food once the buzzer goes off, his sons or any of the employees, will deliver it personally if they have the opportunity or if someone is older and might struggle. A very friendly place that truly appreciate their customers. The ambiance is nothing fancy but very clean and complete with outdoor dining! Bentley's is a Greek-owned sub shop that serves up surprisingly excellent food. As it includes roast beef in its name, one could and should place a lot of weight on the quality of the roast beef. It's hard to express just how good this roast beef is. The sandwiches are offered in multiple sizes, from generous to overwhelming. My husband and I have visited Bentley's many times, and not once has the roast beef been less than superb. It's consistently served rare and warm, on a variety of breads. I especially like the horseradish sauce, but that's gilding the lily. It's so good that I might never have tried anything else on the menu, but someone told me that the seafood was also excellent, so we recently gave that a try. I got the fried clam dinner and my husband got the lobster roll. The portion of clams was generous and cooked perfectly, though the bellies were on the small side. I don't know whether that's a function of the time of year or a matter of cost, but they tasted great so I'm likely to try them another time. The lobster roll was something else. The portion was huge, with giant chunks of lobster in a small amount of mayo. To be honest I would have actually appreciated a little more mayo, but this is an extremely minor complaint. Likewise, the coleslaw is tasty, but I'd personally prefer a bit more dressing in it. That being said, there is a world of difference between a lobster roll dripping in mayo vs, one which is almost entirely lobster meat. Going forward, I'm going to have a difficult time deciding between the roast beef and the lobster roll, and while I love just about every kind of food, I may not ever order anything else on the menu. It's just that good. The interior is standard sub shop ambiance with some tables for self-service. There is also a large outdoor seating area with umbrellas over the tables. On a nice day, it can be a pleasant place to sit, but we usually get our food to go. The fries and rings are nothing special, but between the roast beef and the lobster, this hardly bears mentioning. You've probably driven by Bentley's a hundred times, as it has a large sign right on route 101A. Like me, you may live nearby but never got around to stopping in. It's just a sub shop, right? I was craving for roast beef in New England. So, I was happy when I drove by this place. After reading the reviews, I told Hubs I wanted to go here. So, off we went. The restaurant is small but comfortable and it has plenty of seating. There are booth seats by both the entrance and the back wall and there is also a long row of regular tables in the middle of the restaurant as well. The ordering counter is to the left of the entrance. The walls are adorned with framed pictures and "lantern sconces" and there is a TV playing in the back corner as well. We had the 12-inch roast beef sub with horseradish . It had 7.5 ozs of roast beef on a 12-inch sub roll. The sandwich was nice and soft. Daughter thought the roast beef was juicy and delicious. It was a big sandwich, so we split it 3 ways. Hubs thought the roast beef was a nice medium rare, so close to being perfect! We also had the lobster roll with a side of well done fries and coleslaw. The lobster was cooked just right and delicious. The fries were fried and it was nice and crispy. Hubs thought it was the best lobster roll we've had during our trip. It was sad because we had to come to a roast beef place to satisfy our craving. Thank goodness, this place did the job and satiated our craving. Finally, we had the Greek egg lemon soup and thought it was a bit lemony and lukewarm. It was ok but I wish it was hot. I wanted to try the Greek lemon soup because it was different. I wished we got the clam chowder instead. Daughter thought the soup was so lemony that it didn't taste like lemon. It tasted like the soup went sour.
