Breakfast was good. Group of 7, we showed up after the rush. Initially, the hostess crowded us onto a table for 6 but the waitress quickly moved us to an 8 top, especially good since the rush had ended. To follow up, the staff is incredibly friendly. They remember their repeat customers and make you welcome. All of our food was good but my meal came out 5 minutes after everyone else.

California Benedict and the two for two. Food was luke warm at best...

Went on a whim was waiting for a prescription to go through at the CVS down the street. Service was sexist. Waitress asked what we wanted for drinks, my bf replied with coffee and then left not even giving me the chance to place my order of a water... We received our coffee and it was beyond burnt. Coffee is a staple at any diner, how they get away with burnt coffee is beyond me. Once we received our food she did NOT check back in with us to ask how everything was. My Benedict was cold. Eggs were cooked perfectly and was the only warm thing on my plate. The hollandaise sauce and hashbrowns needed to be warmed up. The hashbrowns had a red/orange tint but no flavor to them. As for the two for two my bf got the pancakes and they served him syrup in a prepackaged serving, like you would get at a school or hospital. Serving pancakes and french toast, syrup is a product New Englanders take pride in, prepackaged corn syrup is a disappointment.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

The service is always amazing and the food is always on point and it never disappoints. The ambiance is like a typical diner with booths, no loud music so you can talk to your party. Let's get down to the food. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- this is my go to because I love it! It's not overly sweet which I love and it reminds me on a cinnamon bun. I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

We were meeting family here, driving up…read morefrom Connecticut, got caught in horrendous traffic, and wound up arriving an hour late, 50 minutes before closing, expecting to get the stink eye since there was only one other table that was just finishing up. Instead we got great service, friendly and very efficient, almost like their mission was to--surprise!--make sure we had a great dining experience. We are traveling musicians and often wind up coming to restaurants within their last hour, and believe me this type of customer service is, sadly, not the norm. On to the food. The food! I started with the blood orange martini, very tasty and refreshing after our long drive. Nice basket of warm chewy bread arrived at the table almost immediately, yum! I had the Aracini (risotto balls) appetizer which was delicious and fairly authentic, done to perfect crispness with an accompanying red pepper cream sauce. The forks came out all around and everyone agreed that this app was first rate. My partner had the special salmon entree with dijon sauce, highly highly recommended if this item is on the menu. I had the ginger soy tuna dish with noodles, quite good. But for me, the standout dish was the pot roast ordered by my friend, wow!! I'm not normally a fan of pot roast but the meat was super tender and the sauce completely delectable. I was only going to take a taste, but wound up taking three, and had to restrain myself from taking more, it was so good. My partner can't finish a meal without dessert and coffee, and even though we knew they were probably trying to close up, they brewed some coffee for him and comp'ed us a creme brulee (perfectly done) for the table. Just straight up great service. We've eaten at the Common Man in Claremont and I think somewhere else, and they're always great. I think the Nantucket pie is a standard on the menus and it is a winner--scallops, shrimp, haddock AND lobster baked in a creamy lobster sauce topped with Ritz cracker crumbs in classic New England fashiom. It looks like they have several restaurants and a couple of diners up and down I-93 and Route 3 in New Hampshire under different names, would like to try them all. But it would be hard to resist coming back to this location for another great meal. My tastes tend to run to funky ethnic joints but I would come back to this place any time. Thanks to the staff at CM for making us feel so very welcomed after that long drive.
