While the food here is delicious with big portions, the staffing issue really needs to be addressed. Out of four waitresses ours was Olivia and she was CLEARLY the only one who was working. She did an excellent job and despite how much she was hustling she smiled and was polite and accurate. It was incredibly obvious that the other three rely on her to do the majority of the work as they barely hurry at all, even on a packed Sunday morning. The bus boy... he needs to be fired. He was on his phone half the time we were there, including when a customer was trying to pick up a take out order from him!! He routinely left takeout orders in the food pick up window and clogged the area so the servers couldn't pick up their plates. Tables were left dirty and unbussed, utensils, dishes ready to be put away, cleaning seemingly unimportant to him as he let the waitresses do his work for him. The food is great. Olivia is excellent! The kitchen is quick even when slammed. But the rest of the staff, especially the bus boy, needs improvement. read more

And though the omelets were good, they were on the smaller side. For that price, I'd expect a 3-egg omelet. Great food and awesome people! I have been to the Red Arrow in Manchester as well as Londonderry, and so far, my favorite is this location. Ashley is awesome, she is always on top of things and super proactive. I don't believe she has ever mixed up an order for us. After breakfast, I was offered a slice of pie, and was it ever great. Wanted something simple today. 3over easy pan fries bacon and toast. I asked the waitress if the "pan fries " were as home fries she said yes "cooked in a pan". When they came they were deep fried the eggs were stacked 3 high on top of each other. The bacon was leathery and limp my toast was soggy even though I ordered it dry with no butter. Used to always stop by every time I was in the area but today marks the last time I will ever go to any red arrow location and will be recommending to my friends and family to avoid them as well. Came in and put my name on the list to be seated at the next open space for 2. Waited patiently only for the next 2 open bar seats to given to two men who just walked in. When we approached the waitress stating we were next and were waiting. They just fumbled for an excuse of why these two walk in were seated. Doesn't matter if you were cleaning a table, we waited and should be asked if we wanted the counter or wait for a booth that was being cleaned. Long wait both to get in and to be served. The chicken was tasteless and the cream pie we tried for dessert was dry with very little chocolate on the bottom. We were seated quickly and had enough time to look the menu over. Our server came over at the perfect time to collect our drink orders. The menu had such a great variety; it seemed they had everything. Our orders didn't take too long to be made and served, but it wasn't so quick that we were concerned. My husband and I went there at 4:00 am this morning. I ordered eggs Benedict which was sent out hard poached eggs twice. The 2 cooks stood looking out kitchen pass thru laughing. The Hollandaise tasted spoiled, they scrapped off the eggs and put the redos on top of the same Canadian bacon and cold soggy English muffin. My husband's pancakes heavy and looked like they were reheated. The waitress was devastated and comped our meals. She handed off the issue to the other woman who must have been the manager on duty. She just sat at the counter filling mayo cups and said and did nothing until the waitress ;ost it and told her to go do something with the two wise asses in the kitchen. I left feeling sick and was lucky to make it home and spent several hours in the bathroom. Pur Waitress was awesome and we did make sure she got a tip. The rest of them should be fired. This is not 1st bad experience at a Red Arrow. We stopped going to the Concord location about 3 years ago due bad eggs and the Female Manager that waited on us was useless. I was in the area visiting, so we stopped in. It was my first time visiting the Red Arrow and had heard many good things about it. The rumors are true- this place is a staple diner with all the 'diner food' offerings you would expect! We ordered the cup of bacon- it was 10 tall crispy slices in a mug and they serve it first like an appetizer. But I ordered it to be my main course as a sandwich because I ordered a biscuit and some gluten- free toast to assemble it. He ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich. When ordering, he had a choice of the table syrup or the special NH real maple syrup for a little bit extra $$. He opted for the real NH maple syrup which he said was delicious. The biscuit was tasty but the gluten-free toast was overcooked, burnt in parts, and not really edible. I was surprised they even served it; it's toast people! It should be easy enough to do. If you burn it and it is hard as a rock and can act as an ice scraper for your car, then throw it out and toast up some more for the customer... After paying, we hovered over the dessert case and decided on the a whoopie pie and lemon meringue pie to go. Both were delicious. read more

Interesting that other reviews reflect mine. First- not an authentic diner feel. Food was very expensive for a diner, $8 kid meals?? And bland. Everything was so so bland. No sauce on the chicken sandwich I ordered, coleslaw was just sweet, not tangy and sweet, mac and cheese was tasteless. $40 for myself and two little kids and I would have had a better meal at Burger King. read more

Sadly the folks at Red Arrow were ill equipped to handle the drive through. We ordered online at approx 9:42a, advised it'd be approx 15 mins for completion. We arrived at 9:53a and told it'd be a few more minutes. We finally got our order at 10:17a even though the receipt says fulfilled at 9:57a. Jill apologized for it taking as long as it did. As it was Father's Day it was busy, understood. Arrived a bit before 9:30am, part of group had checked in, I'd say the 20 to 25 min wait was more of a 35 to 40 min wait. They inquired if we wanted a high top, alarming right there as I am with 3 elderly men, 2 with canes....no we didn't wait 40 mins for a high top counter seating. This is where it actually goes wrong. We were seated at a table with the server named Michelle. After about 10 mins of us sitting there and pointedly ignoring us (I don't want to say it was overt racism as 3 of us were minorities , but well, well). It was so noticeable, however that the hostess who sat us came and took our drink orders as Michelle could not be bothered. I asked the hostess for the manager or the waitress so we could put our order in as I had a flight to catch and we all knew what we wanted to order. Michelle came over, no introduction, hello, sorry for the delay, but immediate defense on well if you have a flight to catch the kitchen is backed up. I countered with if you could take the order now we can get it in. She did...but instead of entering it immediately, she went and made a chocolate milk shake, delivered it and then entered our order. She saw my death stare of annoyance and knew that I knew. I had to flag her down to get refills for the elderly gentleman I was with as well as ask for an additional beverage. She never checked in, made sure we were ok...nothing. Food comes, it's dinner food, every seemed to enjoy their meal. I end up with plastic silverware. I asked for the check immediately as Michelle had the habit of dipping into the back frequently. The table behind me also kept looking for her. This waitress was a blond with glasses and I think her name was Michelle, that was the name on the receipt. She never introduced herself. Went there last night about 8 pm. It looked like three 15 yr old kids were running the place. Our fried pickles were super greasy with a pool of dark brown grease once they were gone. My fried chicken sandwich was petrified due to the lack of new grease ( someone hasn't cleaned the fryer in awhile ) , my daughter swears she got food poising from her chicken quesadilla. The banana cream pie had about 3 cups of cream on top vs the 1/2 " of filling. Too much cream it was sickening. I've been to the Manchester location for bfast many times and it was good. I love my breakfast food, and The Red Arrow did NOT disappoint. We ordered biscuits and gravy with eggs (pictured) and the chicken fried steak benny (pictured), and both were excellent. The chicken fried steak benny transported me right back to Texas, and the sausage gravy lived up to the hype for both dishes. Servers were quick and super friendly, and there was no wait (on a Saturday morning!). Just a diner doing what good diners do. Was happy with the cleanliness of the place. Because it is also connected to a convenience store, the restrooms were a bit of a disaster, but you don't eat in there. The food was great for what would be expected from most diners. Service quick and attentive with just enough attention to get you what you want but not be a bother. Serge, our server, was great. Personable and funny but not a bother. Great prompt service and good feedback on menu items when asked. For the items we had: Tuna Melt- Albacore tuna with just enough mayo to bind it, not sloppy with the stuff. Well, seasoned and nicely browned on the outside. Poutine- This was really good for not being in Quebec. Nice curds, decent gravy, and properly fried fries. Steak bomb- A great diner steak bomb. Not over done, just shaved beef, onions, peppers, and cheese with some salt and pepper. Straightforward and delicious. I kind of wish the roll was toasted, but I bet they would have done that if asked. We also tried the Dinah Finger, their homemade version of the Twinkie. Pretty darn good. Moist, maybe a touch doughy, but went down easy. This is a nice stop on your way through the area. read more
