While exploring Manchester, New Hampshire, I passed by the Red Arrow Diner and noticed that it was crowded, so I decided to come back another day. I am glad I did. I ordered the liver and onions with loaded mashed potatoes and a side salad, and everything was very good. The meal was flavorful, satisfying, and well-prepared. I also ordered the peanut butter chocolate cake, and that was delicious as well. The diner itself is small, but it has a nice, classic diner feel. The service was decent, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and had a good experience. I would recommend Red Arrow Diner to anyone looking for a solid, comforting meal while in Manchester. read more

I've worked in the food/customer service industry a few times so this review has nothing to do with me looking for anything free ... More so me just letting future customers know to check their take out orders before they leave the Diner! The service was amazing but the food, and food packaging was NOT!!! I go there once a week for my usual (breakfast sandwich with hash browns). This was the first time ever that the sandwich wasn't wrapped in foil, resulting in the English muffin being extremely soggy. I picked the sandwich up and my fingers went right through the muffin. And the part that puzzles me the most is that the hash browns were cold! Not even like warm. I ordered, picked up, and opened the container at home in the same timely fashion I have for over a year now, yet have never ran into cold hash browns (in case anyone is questioning if it took me longer to pick the food up and start eating compared to past orders. So no, same time frame as the last 50+ orders.) The only thing I'm getting at with this review is to say check your order and its quality before you leave the store. I can still warm the hash browns up, but the breakfast sandwich is done for as the muffin almost, somehow, has a liquid consistency. read more

I ordered the chicken ranch roll up and the coconut cream pie. The roll up was ok it wasn't too spectacular or memorable but the hash browns were good - crunchy and salty. The coconut cream pie had an overwhelming amount of whip cream but I did enjoy the filling. The interior is very 50s diner vibes - they have lots of photos of celebs and politicians inside their diner. Service was quick we sat at the bar. read more

I was in town on Thanksgiving Eve. I was on a solo road trip. Pretty much everything in the city was closed. This place is always open. So I went. Server was very friendly. It wasn't super busy, but there were a few other patrons in there. Make sure you look at where to park, the sign is near the front door. Don't park in the lot next to the place you might get towed. Decent menu, good coffee, I had the steak tips, which were very flavorful. The hashbrowns are very good, the mac & cheese tasted like Velveeta. It was OK. I got a piece of pie to go and it was just OK. It was strawberry rhubarb, but very jelly like. Too sweet for me. Cool diner vibe. read more

Dirty, poor service. This place has slipped from its former days. Could not find waiters , once ordered all food was delivered cold, and not cooked per order. read more

I understand this is a historic location in Manchester, which can be seen by the memorabilia that cover the walls. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing was horrible but nothing was special either. Our server was attentive and polite. No need to ever return. read more

24 hour diner and a local spot. Winning! We didn't want a big dinner and just wanted something to hit the spot late at night so we found this place on Yelp. This place was also on Triple D with Guy and also has had many celebrities and politicians visit. You can walk around and find the pictures and the plaques of ppl who have sat at the diner. Food was good and filing. The steak tips are marinated in something which I wasn't too big on but they aren't bad. No thrills service and I assume it can get pretty close in here if it's busy. Would recommend for a good quick diner meal. read more

Sometimes you just want chicken parm on spaghetti and a slice of peanut butter chocolate cream pie at 2am, and by god the Red Arrow is where you will find it. Not only that, but it will be delicious. So what if you are dragging yourself home as the sun is coming up? You were able to satisfy that crazy hankering for a coffee frappe you have been ignoring all week, and you know nothing goes better with a frappe than a mug of bacon. No matter what time it is there is always conversation going on. It reminds me of the diner I grew up going to - the only difference is I can drive myself to this one any time I find myself wanting a whole strawberry rhubarb pie (to bring home and eat for breakfast, of course). read more

We arrived at the tail end of supper on a Sunday night and the place was full... and for good reason. We were seated right away by curtious staff. The ambiance is clean, inviting and laid back with classic rock playing in the background. The menu is extensive with unique items. Our waitress (Caitlin) was excellent and kept returning to assist us. While waiting for our food there is a monitor showing famous people that visited - as well as non-famous. We all enjoyed our food (especially the chicken tenders, best I've ever had!) and even though we were stuffed, we HAD to get dessert as they have an amazing assortment. We split and enjoyed the brownie cream pie. There were two birthday announcements while we were there and the menu says to let them know when it's your first visit. We informed them so our "first visit" was announced with a guest book to sign. We also got these stickers (pictured). They sell t-shirts too so we also splurged on a couple of those as well. It was fun but I'd go back as the price is reasonable, portions are large and delicious. read more

Perfect diner experience! The food was delicious! I had a tuna melt and fries and my husband had an omelet. The fries were hot and the sandwich was perfect! This place also had a good vibe. We sat at the counter, which is really the ONLY place you should sit at a diner. The server (I think her name pun said Robin) was a hoot, and I felt like I could have talked to any of my counter neighbors. Again, how a diner vibe should be. Also, me and my husband both got clean plate stickers!!!!! (We brought home two Dinah Fingers but haven't eaten them yet-I'm sure they will be delicious!!! read more

Red Arrow for the win!! Red Arrow Diner is a quintessential diner! I adore the Manchester location and since we live nearby this is our go to location! They have booths and counter seats! Haven't eaten here in nearly six months. The food is . It was better then. Today I ordered the arrow omelette. It's basically a western omelette with mushrooms and cheese sauce. When I think of the classic american diner, I think of the Red Arrow. I've been coming here for years because they are consistent with their food, service and price.....consistently good! I love the atmosphere and the fact I can get breakfast 24/7. This place has a lot of history and had been a landmark of Manchester for 100 years! Their menu has a large selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options so if you can't find something on the menu that fits the bill for you then you're a hard person to please. The Red Arrow is also a favorite stopping point for famous actors and politicians just check out all the photos on the walls. This place is great and part of the heart & soul of Manchester!! I came here while visiting NH for the Memorial Day weekend. I was looking for places to eat and came across Red Arrow Diner on my trusty Yelp app. When we arrived, there were no seating at the booths, so we were told that we had to sit at the counter. That wasn't a problem for me but the person I came with wanted to sit at the booth. Not too long after we were seated, a party left, thus making a booth available. The person I came with didn't want to place an order until we moved. Finally, after 10-15 minutes, we were moved. The server (I forgot her name, but she has long, brunette colored hair) was not friendly at all. We would've been better off staying put because the server at the counter was friendlier. Anyway, I ordered the two pancakes, two eggs and two strips of bacon with a side of potatoes. She ordered the meatloaf platter with a side salad. I got a cup of hot chocolate. We both got pies (we observed people coming into the diner just to order pies), she got the cherry, and I got the apple. The food was good the service was meh. All in all, I don't see myself rushing to go back. read more

I waited a long time to check this out and I'd say it was sort of ... results may vary? We had a hash brown meal with eggs and chicken fried steak with sausage gravy that was really good. The meatloaf was pretty good as well, and the mashed potatoes were tasty. The mac and cheese tasted like nothing, that was sad. We tried the poutine and it was pretty good (fries and curds were good) but the brown gravy was realllyyyy salty, so that made it tough to enjoy. One friend got the hash benedict, he said the sauce was good, eggs too, but said the hash tasted canned (we can't be sure of that, no idea if they make their own?) We also tried the Dinah fingers, their own Twinkies, and the cake was DELICIOUS, but the filling was cloyingly sweet liquidy frosting that ruined them. It would have been much better if it was something more like a creamed texture. So, overall there were some decent things but it seemed hit or miss. read more

The turkey was real turkey off the bone, not sliced deli meat, so just be aware before ordering. Service was excellent! Alright, remember the saying: First Impressions Are Lasting ! Ordered very early in the a.m. & was disappointed to see my (Real Mashed Potato's) that were supposed to come with the "Meat Loaf" dinner, were out of stock, they were replaced with, cold over cooked regular french fries, not kool @ all. Meat loaf itself was just average, I tried to like it more, but something was off. Turkey club sandwich was supposed to be (Mayonnaise Free) but it was slathered with it, completely unedible, no way to salvage that one. Scrambled eggs were the only thing that was prepared right, so they ended up being my main course. I had a very "Dear Friend" who worked at the one in Manchester, he would of been quite sad with me leaving this {Sub*Par} review ! ! - Thanx for Your Effort - read more

Cute diner in Manchester with parking. A very retro vibe especially sitting at the counter. Small place so expect a little wait or to sit at counter if you can. Food was good. I got the basic breakfast, two eggs, toast, ham and home fries. Eggs were cooked perfectly but too much butter on toast and home fries seemed slightly undercooked. Super friendly attentive staff and they have a huge menu so I would go back. I've got to try the pie! read more

Today was October 12, 2025 Around 12:20 noon. I went to Red Arrow Diner Manchester to sit down and eat by myself. The restaurant wasn't even that busy compared to other times I've been there, but I sat for almost 20 minutes without anyone coming to my table. I saw a male server walking back and forth and he never even asked me if I wanted a drink. Finally, a female server came and asked for my drink order, and I asked for a hot chocolate. I looked over the menu for a while, but my drink still wasn't brought out. It started feeling uncomfortable -- even a lady sitting nearby seemed to notice. When I finally spoke up and said, "Hello, I've been here a while and no one has helped me," the male server just said, "That's not my table, it's hers." What really bothered me was what happened next: I heard him go over to the female server, and they laughed about the situation and made comments. I even heard something like, "I was busy, she could leave if she wanted." That level of disrespect and lack of care is unacceptable. I've been to this diner before and never experienced something like this. I left because of how I was treated. Horrible customer service. read more

So good!!! This diner is such a classic place and is super welcoming. Stopped here on the way up to Quebec and I'm so glad I did. I totally get why so many people eat here. We got there on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't a line just a small wait for the table. The diner has a ton of pictures on the walls with celebrities and all of the benches had plaques with who sat in those seats. For food I ordered the Queen Dinah and it was amazing. Best pancakes I've had in a while. The coffee was what you'd normally get at a diner. The service was great and welcoming. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely visit again. read more

I'm very disappointed about my late night/morning experience at this "fine" establishment! When I arrived at 0210ish am for a much needed meal (as I had just had a hard night at work), there were a few people in the place that notably two were quite vocal with foul language and going "off" about personal matters that NO ONE shut up!! I ordered, got my meal, ate in utter silence & did not engage in looks or conversation with any of them...I felt the cops should have been called and/or the staff should have seen them to the door!!! I couldn't finish my food, took it to go, which I will do from now on (because the food & staff are good). The reputable staff should not have to put up with that misconduct or rude, inappropriate behavior from patrons. PLEASE, don't let this happen to someone else! read more

I've been here twice so far and it's everything I have ever wanted from a diner. Open all the time. Breakfast open all the time. Servings are huge and everything comes out fresh. The stickers are adorable and the waitresses are the gum smacking stereotype you expect in a diner. That being said every waitress I've interacted with here has been very nice. When you picture an American diner, this is a great example. Clean, bright, good service, satisfying breakfast, affordable. It's open 24 hours too. I think this would be an ideal place to cure a hangover. We stopped in for breakfast, I got the sausage gravy and biscuits with two eggs on the side. Mimi got eggs, hashbrowns, and corned beef hash. Looking for a spot to blow you away? Red Arrow Diner is that spot for my family! Let me tell you, my family was traveling and was looking for a spot to grab brunch. We haven't ate breakfast and after much Yelping and googling it somehow lead me to Red Arrow Diner. I have to tell you that the biggest reason we decided to stop by here is because of Adam Sandlers. We sat in the booth right next to where Adam's plaque was and stared at the menu for a very long time. Even the waitress was very patient with us. She made plenty of recommendations and let us take our time to decide. I had very very very low expectations because I mean most of my diner experiences the food was just mediocre. And as a foodie I really had no expectations what so ever. I customized my own burger, my hubby got a breakfast plate, and the kids both got the kids menu Mickey mouse chocolate chip pancake. Let me just tell you their bacon is sooooooo AMAZING!!! No wonder they sell it in a bucket if you wanted to order it that way. The burger was just so juicy, made perfectly and full of flavor. I was just so shocked at how good it was. One of the best burgers I have had in a very long while! Their ham was good quality ham too! Our little family of 4 were such happy campers. Our waitress was very nice and sweet. She even rung the bell and announced all of the cities us out of towners are from. I highly would recommend everyone and their mamas to come check out Red Arrow Diner. This is by far the best diner I have ever eaten at. 2 thumbs up and would definitely be coming back if I am in the area again!
