I love this family and old-school restaurant. Female and family run. This is plain good ol' food. The portions are huge and bountiful. This is a restaurant with an older crowd. The only issue that anyone could have is that the food although good, lacks seasoning. That could be due to an older clientele that watches their salt. Not a bad thing but, as a foodie, I like my food a little more seasoned. We ordered whole-belly clams they were huge and crispy but a little over-breaded. I was pulling some of the breading off. I ordered a side of their homemade redskin potato salad/macaroni salad combo. Both are good, but again, a little lacking in flavor. The macaroni could be improved by a little chopped green pepper and onion because it was one-note. Now my partner's meal was also good. But the best part was the homemade corned beef hash. This was excellent! No salt was added and no salt was needed. My man raved over it. He also ordered the Codfish sandwich with a side of the redskin potato salad. Thank goodness we ordered only the sandwich because we saw the Codfish plate and were floored by the size of the plate. The prices were excellent as was the service. They had a lady who had been there since the restaurant's inception. We will try them again. There were many tasty-looking offerings on their menu. A little bit of a wait to be seared, but that was a good sign. Sound was a little buzzy, but not too loud. Coffee was very good. I had two eggs and hash. Eggs were just right. The hash was a bit salty, but it balanced out when eaten with the eggs and home-fries. The home fries: the best I have ever had! Crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. Your typical small, family owned breakfast joint but certainly a cut above most. Food is awesome (link sausages are amazing!) and they always have a different quiche on the menu every day. I am a big breakfast guy so I usually get "The Half Bagg". Eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries and a single ENORMOUS pancake. The also have "The Full Bagg" but thats way too much food even for me. I have never had anything off the lunch side of the menu but I am positive it's as great as the breakfast items. And I have never been served by anybody there that isn't smiling and friendly. My favorite place for breakfast by far. It does get busy so be prepared to wait a bit to get in but certainly worth it. read more

There was this lady, the owner's mom, nice person, she explained me what they serve and made me a suggestion to take the plater that included all kind of seafood, fried fish, scallops, chips and two more that I don't remember. I have to say that the whole experience was average. The server was quick to serve coffee when I sat down but not very attentive to warming it up. Had to ask for water too. I ordered hash and cheese omelette pan fries and wheat toast. Sadly sourdough toast was not offered. Also, the omelette had just a sprinkling of cheese and good but likely commercially made hash. I give Bagg Lunch a B- . This restaurant in a small strip mall next to Bartlett Elementary School, is not much to look at outside or inside. The tables are very close and there is no ambience at all. Having said that, the service is usually good and the burgers are good, onion rings are among the best around (nice and crispy, not greasy) and they have outstanding fried fish haddock, clams, scallops, etc. However fish is only available on Fridays, but well worth it, and portions are large for sure. Fried fish and seafood is crispy not greasy. Also the cole slaw is very good and tasty. The desserts are very good as well, nice whoopie pies and eclairs! Not fancy, older crowd, crowded and a bit noisy, but service is good and food is very good. Excellent price value! read more

Literally as good as it gets, for a breakfast/lunch place! Having moved to the area a year ago, we finally got a chance to try The Bagg Lunch out and boy have we wasted a year! Best breakfast to date, we could not have been any happier with our meals. Lots of egg dishes, pancakes and sandwiches to choose from. Get a piece of pie - dessert with breakfast is A-OK to do! Just read this diner opened from The Hooksett Banner (Jan 13,2011) We arrived for their open at 700am on Sunday. My wife & I regularly go out for breakfast on Sundays, and we keep a rating list with comments. Bagg Lunch's location in a small strip mall in Pinardville (Mast Rd) together with the very clean dining room, the old-fashioned posters on the walls, put them way above the typical diner. The food is very good. I had the 3-egg omelet with sausage and choice of cheese ( American). The breakfast also comes with a choice of pan fries or beans & choice of toast. The baked beans were excellent . I tasted my wife's pan fries and thought it was too greasy and overpowered with onions. The teapot with separate mug was a nice touch. We'll definitely come back to try their homemade lunch specials. read more

Went here for fresh seafood Fridays I've had filet of fishes that were fresher. I must have driven by here a hundred times. I assumed by the name that they specialized in brown bag lunches but it's actually a diner and the food is great. They really take pride in everything they do. I had the burger which was just the right size and topped with fresh lettuce tomatoes and onions, you can get any side you want, I got the soup. They have daily specials, most of the items are comfort foods that alternate depending on what day of the week it is Chinese pie, sausage and biscuits, baked stuffed peppers, meatloaf, homemade soups and chowders. This is going to be my regular hang out. You get free refills on coffee, tea and fountain soda. Prices are reasonable too. read more

Wow this is the place to go for breakfast. Homey feel to the joint as it seats no more than 30 at most. Wait staff is extremely friendly and the menu rivals any diner around including the red arrow. I get the feeling you could order just about anything and they could accommodate you. I haven't had spam since I was a kid growing up. We were poor so don't look your nose down at me! Anyway, I ordered the spam, two eggs over easy, a side of white toast and baked beans with a large orange juice. I had my food within 5 minutes. Mind you it was Sunday morning and there wasn't an open seat available. The food was delicious and the bill was $11 for everything. Extremely embarrased when I took 4 out of state visitors here for a late breakfast. Waitress was courteous and friendly but 4 out of the 5 of us did not like the food at all. The only one who liked hers had plain scrambled eggs. One aunt had a hard time cutting a pancake it was rock hard as if not freshly cooked. Traveled to Goffstown this week and found this place searching Yelp. The place was surprisingly empty at 0800 a.m. but seemed to have many friends or employees at the counter. The waitress brought coffee out quickly after greeting and menu dropoff. The coffee was excellent...just strong enough and good flavor. I had standard bacon, eggs, home fries and white toast. Bacon seemed a little thicker cut and had great flavor, maybe local? Eggs over easy done perfectly and also seemed farm fresh. Yolks that stood up and had great color. The toast was home style (awesome) and homegrown were crispy. The service was good throughout and people in the restaurant were friendly. Never had a bad meal! Patty Melt and homemade french fries are delicious! I always ask for my bacon extra crispy and the staff is more than willing to oblige! I've had the omelets (the veggie is my favorite) and they are very fresh tasting (I also ask for American cheese instead of the mozzerella). The coffee is delicious, the BLT's and Grilled Cheese and Tomato are also very good! This is my go to for breakfast and lunch. The staff has always been so nice and accomodating. The prices are fantastic and the food comes in very good portions. I've also had their American Chop Suey, their Pork Pie. Bagg also has amazing french toast specials (Jelly Doughnut!) and pastries. Afraid I have to give this place a very mixed review. I had lunch here with my sister a few months ago and liked the place but was not impressed with the food. I tried them again for breakfast more recently. I agree with what others say about the environment. It's somewhere between a diner and local cafe, seasoned with a sense of humor. Nice people, good service. And CLEAN. I got the Carnivore omelet with a variety of breakfast meats inside, whole wheat toast, pan fries, and black coffee. Portions were generous. Pan fries were outstanding, coffee better than average, and toast OK. The omelet, though, was a major disappointment. It started off well until I tasted something rancid. That turned out to be the sausage. So I picked out bits of sausage and was OK for a coupe of mouthfuls until I discovered that the bacon was also rancid. At that point I threw in the towel and left with most of my breakfast still on the plate. So my advice is to check this place out by going in for coffee between mealtimes one of these days. If you like what you see you can read the menu and see if there is anything you feel would be safe to come back for. The ham was OK. read more
