When we walked in none of the staff saw us but there is a sign posted to seat your self. I was interested to see how long it would take to be noticed, I expected it to be a bit. I was very pleasantly surprised that our waitress came over almost immediately! We ordered and our food came out quickly and nice and hot. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of Texas toast. The biscuits were amazing so light and fluffy, honestly they were perfect! I liked the gravy but I felt like it needed a boost of flavor and salt. The home fries were good but lacked seasoning. The toast was perfectly buttered and exactly what I wanted. My husband had the French toast and corned beef hash both of which he throughly enjoyed. The biggest highlight for us was our waitress and the rest of the staff. It is very clear they love the diner and all work seamlessly together. We will definitely be back!

For being inside and out, our coffee mugs were kept full. Country or not, ACD offers adult breakfast beverages including iced mimosas , though the ice was a bit of more fill than chill. Nonetheless the eggs and toast were spot on, and the eggs Benedict were gooey as can be with Hollandaise sauce. Whether you're camping in Bear Brook or passing through Manchester or Concord, this was a great in between. We were relieved to find parking in the sides/back, and left stuffed. For the friendly service and substantial breakfast, we'd come back again.

Best draw of this place is the latte and chai flights! I've seen them other places for crazy expensive prices. The flights, like everything here, are very reasonably priced and a fun way to try different flavors. I've noticed in my time going here that they always keep up with trends, like adding lemonade flights and energy drinks. I don't usually order hot food, but I've loved the sandwiches I've tried. Like the drinks, they have quality ingredients and fun recipes. I've visited off hours and during rushes, and the staff is always prompt and organized. The atmosphere is great for hanging out and they keep close ties to the community, such as selling art and allowing by local businesses to display their business cards. I recently stopped buying coffee out to save money, but I'll absolutely this local business whenever I'm craving a treat.

Banana/strawberry and holy shit it was incredible!!! I. LOVED. IT!!! Damn it was good. I think it was like $12 tho? Am I crazy to think...meh, it's ok, (the price) I was on a holiday and you are supposed to enjoy whatever? haha!! I would normally never spend that much on a freaking smoothie! HOWEVER! Once we got into Manchester, VT....we saw another The Works Bakery...I SHO DID get another one lol. I was surprised to see that this place is a chain. When we were in Concord...it kind of felt like this was a place exclusive to Concord. Nah, it's not. Thats ok tho. I got a smoothie at a coffee house in just outside Bar Harbor and it was absolute garbage. So it was nice to have one where they actually have you what you ordered. Most places in Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire all allow dogs. I travel with my little Yorkie wherever I go. Alfred loves to travel haha! He is my child...seeing as I do not have any human kids. My dog is my life. So it's nice when you go into places and they welcome dogs. This place....does not tho. Thats boooo! HOWEVER! I TOTALLY understand! I TRULY do! I travel with my dog everywhere, but yes, I do realize this place is a restaurant and they all have their rules. I just love restaurants that allow dogs haha! I am not one of those psychos that will tear a place apart about not allowing dogs. I am one who actually respects policies like this. And yes, I bring my dog with me bc it's just me...and my dog. He is a 6lb Yorkie who I will never leave alone nor would I ever kennel him. I say all this bc so many people out there judge others who bring their dogs everywhere. He is a family member. He comes with me. Just go to this place wherever you run into one. It really is a great place. They were all SO nice in there even when they asked my take Alfie back outside. OH for the record too...I carry my little man everywhere with me. He's not like...running around everywhere...marking his territory lol Atmosphere in this location is very nice. Kinda dark and Lodgy feeling. Its nice. Located too in what I am assuming is a historic building. Noce view of the downtown area too if you take you lunch or whatever outside to their outdoor seating...which I am guessing is probably brought in now...seeing as it is almost December. Ok thats it. I know I rambled a lot here, but I feel it all fits with my review. I ramble a lot to begin with. If you read this...thank you! If you didn't...I will sleep in 5 mins and sleep like a baby :) Thank you The Works for a wonderful first experience. I live in Idaho. Wish we had you here. Thanks for reading YelperWorkers! Wonderful little lunch stop!…read more It was full of locals and regulars and on a wait for lunch. At that moment I knew I had picked a good spot! We chilled with the folks up front for a good bit before getting a table. It seemed we were the only people that had not been here 30-40 times before. Most people didn't even want menus and the sweet server ladies just brought them food without conversation at all. It's kind of old school feeling inside. It's an open kitchen and you can see all of the action. Inside is all wooden and rustic. It reminds me of my grandmas house in Camden TN. Not sure why. It's just really comfortable in here to me. The tile and fireplaces make super cozy. This place has some of the best chili that I have had in a long time. I dig the fact they give tortilla shops automatically with the chili. Win!! Thick and meaty and oh so filled with spice and love!! Cheese on top was a nice touch too. Really liked it! My French dip was fucking killer!! So damn big too! I could only eat half of it because of the the fire ass chili I had already eaten. French fries were battered type. Nothing wrong with that!! I drove around with this sandwich for two days of travel and ate it on the road later. Stupendous French dip!! C had an open faced roast beef sandwich. FIRE!! The green beans were so pretty and fresh too. She could barely get 1/3 down, lol. It was a ton of food. Economical! Hometown feel! Good people working and eating here! I love it!! This classic old school space was renovated with updated hardwood flooring, sea green painted walls and exposed brick walls and wood walls behind the bar. The full service bar with seating and open kitchen area is on the left side section and the front window music stage and table seating is on the right side section. The bar offers 8 beers on draft, bottle/can beers, and wine. The Sleazy Vegan is selling their food truck, last parked at Tideline Public House in Durham and has moved into this permanent brick and mortar location, The Sleazy Vegan at Pembroke City Limits. At the time of this posting, they were offering their abbreviated vegan & plant based food menu including mac & sleaze, nachos, spicy Thai peanut lettuce cups, burgers, sausage hoagie with caramelized onions, hot dog, buffalo chickn' mac & cheese, chickn' burger, and Korean BBQ chickn' burger, and desserts (double choc shake, lemon cream frosty, sleazy frozen no-rita). The prices are moderate here. I stopped by Pembroke City Limits after work try out some vegan eats. I took a seat up at the bar and looked over the abbreviated menu already on the counter. I got a glass of tap ice water (they also offer bottled water) and decided on the SVFT Burger ($14 plus tax) and a side of Sleazy Mac & Cheese ($8 plus tax). My food served in disposable paper products was served in 12 minutes after ordering. The SVFT Burger is their Sleazy Vegan Food Truck Burger which was comprised of a very soft plant burger patty topped lettuce, tomato, onion & sriracha ketchup on an enriched white hamburger roll. The Sleazy Mac & Cheese had soft cavatappi pasta in a semi tangy cheese sauce (oat milk). The food was quite good for being vegan. The check was shown on a portable digital Square payment device, which came out to $23,87 with tax and before tip. There was also a local band setting up for a 6 pm live show near the front window. The Sleazy Vegan at Pembroke City Limits fills the void in the Concord area for prepared vegan and plant based foods in a fixed location. When Col's Kitchen in Concord closed, my vegan boss was really bummed out and has to travel to Green Beautiful in Manchester on the weekends during the day for prepared vegan food. My boss will be so thrilled to stop into this new place close to the office for dinner, drinks, and live music. I will be stopping by again when their menu is expanded and I can catch some live music too.
