The prices here seem reasonable. The place offers dine-in and carryout and the bright dining room with several tables is decorated with a patriotic theme using red, white and blue colors and decor and the old school black & white checkered linoleum floor and a TV in the corner. I stopped in for takeout and placed my order at the counter. I ordered a Smashburger with Provolone Cheese ($8.99 plus tax), lettuce, tomato, raw onions, and ketchup with spicy crinkle cut fries and a 7" Pepperoni Deep Dish Pizza ($7.99 plus tax). My order was ready in 18 minutes and I enjoyed my takeout food back at the office. The smashburger had a nicely grilled beef patty with my favorite toppings on a soft thick kaiser bun. The thick golden crinkle cut fries were crisp, firm outside and soft inside and had a cajun seasoning and ketchup dip cup provided. The personal sized pizza had a thick soft deep dish crust filled with lots of thick red sauce, pepperoni slices and gooey melted cheese. Overall, the food was enjoyable and done right. The service was very friendly and I will definitely have to stop in again for breakfast.

That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. There is a delightful coffee drinks menu for options to enjoy at your table or to go! Tucker's also does take out, so you really have not excuse to miss this delightful place.

I don't think we chose the right item as the sauce was broken. The eggs undercooked and The ham hard and not tasty. The the English muffin wasn't toasted or grilled. It seemed to be uncooked. I love supporting local diners and the people and we tipped heavily but I just wouldn't go back cuz the food which is the main draw of a diner wasn't up to par. They really should clean the place from top to bottom as well and as much as I hate to say it, we would pass.

I arrived at Logan on a Thursday morning and my family picked me up and brought me here around 8AM. It was the Fourth of July so it was pretty busy at the diner but the staff were very kind, very quick at providing drinks, and gave us time to look over the menu and place our order. This was my first time eating here so when I saw Country Fried steak on the menu I knew I needed to give it a try. The plate was practically on fire when it was served so after giving it 30 seconds I couldn't help but dig in and I absolutely loved this meal. The country fried steak tasted exactly how I thought a small town country fried steak would taste and the same goes for the toast, potatoes, and eggs I had on the side. Was it the absolute best I've ever eaten? No, but sometimes all you want is exactly what they give you and that's exactly what the case was here. On top of the food being good, this place was decorated in Northwood history while the front end sold bread and baked goods that were made locally, what else could you ask for? Overall, a big thumbs up for the Northwood Diner. The friendly staff, tasty food, and small town charm this diner offers is everything I sometimes miss about living in New England.
