While this was our first visit to an establishment everyone in the area raves about, I was underwhelmed. The waitstaff work as a team helping guests with service from ordering, water, food delivery. Back at the Farmers Kitchen yesterday for an late breakfast. The missus went with waffles with scrambled eggs, their excellent cob bacon and home fries. All delicious! I chose one of my favorites; Eggs Benedict Oscar with the home fries dressed out with most of the veggies and cheese and bacon! Again yum! Our waitress was very friendly and fast! If I had one small complaint I never got asked for a refill on coffee. We did come in as the early lunch crowd was starting to arrive so I can cut them some slack. Just passing through the area and found this breakfast spot on Yelp! The reviews don't lie. I walked in to the clatter of silverware on plates and the hum of morning conversations over breakfast. I sat right down at the bar and had a menu immediately. I had coffee in front of me within 2 minutes. I ordered the eggs Benedict and was eating in about 5 minutes. It came with red potato home fries to which they offered to add onions. My plate was full. When I was done, so wasn't my belly! The food was hot and delicious. My coffee cup was never empty. We figured we would venture out and try breakfast this morning from our campsite. Out of our party of 7, my husband, daughter and I ordered the same breakfast combination; 2 eggs, meat, pancakes and home fries. I ordered my eggs over medium, as did my daughter. I always order this way because I do not enjoy runny eggs. The eggs came runny; complete with the little white pieces of egg snot. The home fries had a smokey, left out a day vibe. The ham was so fatty it was inedible. Coffee was terrible, but that could have been overlooked if the food made up for it. It didn't. The waitress was nice but obviously covering too many tables. We didn't get a refill on drinks or asked if we wanted water or anything. My husband and daughters eggs came the same way- runny AF. They forgot sausage for my husband, and they billed us for a corn muffin that was supposed to be on my moms bill. When we mentioned the issues with the food, and when they cleared our full plates, nothing was done to compensate for the inedible meal. Overall, would not visit again. read more

Used to stop in this lace once in awhile but haven't been there in over a year. Well my grand-daughter and my daughter wanted to take me out for breakfast this past Saturday morning. It was busy and there was a little wait to be seated which is understandable. Maybe because it was busy or new cooks but the food wasn't up to par, burnt toast and home fries greasy and over seasoned. We did not enjoy our meal at all. We couldn't even finish what we had. I loved the food here! It is a quaint, local country restaurant with the best baked beans in the entire world! Nestled right off the interstate makes it an easy stop when passing by. Every dish ordered was perfection, so much so that we did not take any photos! I got the egg and cheese sandwich and it was the best I've had...I make egg Anna cheese sandwiches in the morning for breakfast and they have never tasted this good. We were camping in the area and decided to get some breakfast on a Sunday morning. I found this place on Yelp, the reviews were good and the pictures of food looked yummy so this ended up being the place we chose. We ordered a little before 10am for takeout and were informed that it would be about 25 minutes before our order was ready. Now this might seem like kind of a long wait for breakfast but based on the reviews of how busy they get it was totally expected and I actually wouldn't have been surprised if they quoted longer. My fiancé got a hash omelet and I got two eggs over easy with hash. Both of us decided to get our home fries with peppers, onions and cheese added. My eggs were cooked perfectly and my fiancé's omelet was not brown and overcooked at all. However the stars of the show were absolutely the corned beef hash which was homemade (a rare find nowadays) and the home fries. The added peppers, onions and cheese made the already delicious home fries phenomenal! Prices were pretty reasonable. With tax both our meals came to about $22. For fresh, homemade food like this I don't mind paying a tad more than your regular breakfast joint. The only thing I would ask them to reconsider is adding salt & pepper packets into their to-go orders and also swap out a spork for normal utensils. For some reason I just didn't like the feeling of eating breakfast with a spoon. LOL read more

My friend and I had the most delicious breakfast at The Farmer's Kitchen today. I have been there many times and they just keep getting better and better, which is not easy, having worked in restaurants for many years myself. It's hard to keep the standards up and the food consistently..well, exceptional. Today my breakfast sandwich was superb! It was made exactly how I asked for it. And the homefries..better than ever! Crispy and with onions. So good! At Farmer's Kitchen, the Fresh Fruit Cup really IS fresh. Crisp melons and grapes..um-umm! And I had a yummy yummy pancake. Oh, and great coffee. I'm pretty picky and don't make a habit of doing reviews but this restaurant is SO GOOD! My toughest decision was...breakfast or lunch because both are so good. And the service...wonderful, polite, friendly and, accommodating servers. I personally haven't had better service than this anywhere. There is a great vibe going on there which you can't fake.
