Stopped in for a late breakfast today and was pleasantly surprised. My K-bomb omelette with hash browns arrived at warp speed (they were winding down but still nice to get food fast and hot near closing time). Quiet dinner with a down home feel. My waitress was very friendly and made sure to check back with me. Two small things that make this visit a 4.5. First while my omelette was well made the kielbasa was so finely chopped it could have been ham. Perhaps better left chunky so we know it's sausage? Second, I like to have a little peanut butter with my toast even with an extra charge. But they were all out. I'm going to go for five stars because of the service and the food arrived hot and fast. A very good breakfast for the cost (about $17 with tax). And about that home made hash? Definitely on my list for my next visit! read more

My husband and I just went here for breakfast/lunch and the waitress who sat us was not very friendly and she had an attitude when we first walked in. We came in about 30 minutes before closing. Then as we were eating our breakfast, they air conditioner was shut off so we had to eat our breakfast with very uncomfortable temperatures and the waitress never came back over to ask us if we want anything more to eat or drink it was a very uncomfortable experience and the owners should be ashamed of themselves if you're open until 1 o'clock then keep your air conditioning on a 90+ degree day regardless of what time it is. Running a business like this they will definitely lose customers and we definitely will not be back anytime soon.. very disappointed customer!! read more

You can, though not recommending, to drive right by here. A very non- descript place that is easy to drive right by, don't. After a 12 hour drive to visit our nephew and sisters son, us two couples meet him and his wife here for a very tasty breakfast and coffee. To set the stage, there is nothing glamorous about this place, it's a truck stop in a city with a liquor license but we weren't drinking alcohol. To our delight some of the specials they offered us were pumpkin pancakes, select omelettes, great tasting coffee and attentive service. Food was delicious and spot on. Went to Sunny's today for a brunch I was by myself went aside. The bar was almost full, so I decided to take a seat that was right next to the bar place was mostly empty. Waitress comes right up to me and berates me in front of everybody telling me never to sit myself ever again.. I immediately say loudly I didn't know the rules. She poured me a coffee. When the pandemic hit, we ate here often to try and help small businesses. The food wasn't great, but we chalked it up to take-out. Then we went in and found the food wasn't any better hot off the griddle. Service was nothing to write home about, I felt like we were annoying them by coming in. I was disappointed in the meal, on a positive note I thought the wait staff was pleasant, efficient and friendly. I had a western omelette, to begin with I disliked the frozen vegetables ( onions and peppers) that were used, I expected fresh vegetables. I felt the eggs were a little undercooked. The toast was good. I found the potatoes were greasy and not cooked, I expected a crispy hot potato but what I received was a greasy lukewarm potato. The coffee when poured could be seen right through, I'm not a strong coffee drinker so for me, this was colored water. I prefer stevia and they only had the other artificial sweeteners. Nice location. Nice service. I go there for meetings. They have the usual. Lots of home fries breakfast place. Other ways typical New England. Since I went there for meeting it was nice because no one bothered me but the coffee was passable. Had seconds. He had an omelette with mushrooms and Swiss cheese and spinach. Very nice. Very very good once you finally get seated. Normally a line on the weekends seemingly because of short staffing but you wouldn't know it. They are very attentive and kind. The food comes out relatively quick given you only see a few faces in there. I have had too many things to say but my go to is an omelette and hash browns and they're always great. Strange place, I asked the hostess for a table for two and ten minutes later after sitting at the entrance they seated another couple. I told the hostess I'd like a table and she said I couldn't be seated until the rest of my party arrived. I said It's just two people and my friend is 10 minutes away. She muttered something about rules so I said I'll sit at the counter, which had plenty of empty seats, and have a cup of coffee then. I was told I couldn't do that until the rest of my party arrived. You're kidding me right? I should have asked for the manager but my friends say the food is nothing special anyway. What is up with this place?! Arrived bright and early to an empty dining room w husband and two little kids and was told they couldn't seat us until our 1 friend (on their way) was there... asked if we could be seated to get kids orange juice and us coffee to get started and the lady literally looked at us and turned around and walked away... asked a third time to be seated in the completely empty dining room and she mumbled about waiting for whole party- I get it... if placed is slammed to wait for whole party, but it's easy to settle kids in and quickly have adults order. Super clean and organized! The food was great and the servers are wicked friendly. Call ahead to get on the waitlist, tell them what car your in and they will come get you when a table is ready. No waiting inside and every one is seated at least 6 feet away. Tables and all condiments on the table are immediately washed down after the party has left. Bloody Mary was peppery but not to spicy, the biscuits and gravy were flavorful with out being too salty, and the hash browns were nice and crispy. The bathroom was amazingly clean! Charming little place to stop in for a late lunch. Hardly busy at all, only people at two other booths. Varied menu, typical diner fare for the most part with some unique surprises. Opted for the half sandwich/cup of soup combo. Chicken salad was nice and smooth, cranberries and walnuts very finely chopped. Suits me, I'm not a walnut fan. Turkey and rice soup was good, though a bit over salted for me. No clam chowder available today. :( Hubby loves burgers and Reubens. Usually a dilemma to decide. No issue! They have a Reuben burger! He loved it! Interior is cottage cosy, a little worn, but clean. And our server was very friendly and attentive. Will come again next time we are in the area. read more

This spot is really quaint and homey....the waitress were really sweet and service was quick. The girls got a 'christmas' pancake which was consisting of red and green m&ms. I had sampled it and I honestly want to say the best pancakes by far. It had almost a crisp corn sweetness to it. This was a terrible experience all around. We came here on our way to vacation. We were not greeted by anyone and proceeded to sit ourselves because a sign told us to do so. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged even though there were 3 waitresses around. We got our menus and I asked "Do you make egg white omelets here?" The waitress said "No" and then when I looked at the menu, it actually SAID "egg whites available"... So I said "Are you sure because it says it right here" and she said "oh then I guess we do!" Rule #1 for a waitress... KNOW YOUR MENU or don' t be a waitress! I don't care if you just opened. You should have studied it the night it was printed. Next thing that really sucked was that there were 2 nuisance kids running around the restaurant and going behind the counter and they wouldn't stop talking! They were absolutely obnoxious and even were asking the waitresses "do you hate us? are we annoying?" I wanted to say "YES" to them myself. Rule #2- Children do not mix with businesses who want to be taken seriously. Tell the kids to go play outside. Lastly, it took forever and the Mr.'s food came out WAY before mine. He was nearly finished when I FINALLY got my food. It was just ok. Rule #3- deliver food to the entire party at one time. The check took forever to come and the waitresses spent all their time on calculators instead of taking care of the guests. They were also complaining in front of the guests to each other that so-and-so only left them a 43 cent tip. bla bla bla- I wonder why!?!? Probably cause everything about this experience sucks! Sunny's has been open about a month and has been warmly received by we locals who truly appreciate having a family owned restaurant back in Lee again. I won't try to contradict Julie H's review because is sounds as if she has a truly poor visit but I can say that my experiences have been vastly different. The food has been outstanding. I've stopped in 4 times now, twice each for breakfast and lunch and ordered a variety of items, all yummy and obviously homemade with care. I will agree that the waitstaff need to sharpen up a bit. I would sum it up as a very friendly but green staff. I watched one lunch as the two waitress on shift worked behind the counter on their "daily do's" list while several tables out front were not bussed or re-set. I'm chalking this up to a lack of training and coordination of duties. I'm hoping that as staffing and the back get more hours under their belt Sunny's will consistently deliver & there won't be anymore 1 star reviews of this little gem. read more

My iPhone's Siri brought me here after looking at a house in the area. It's hard to screw up breakfast and they didn't, but it wasn't exceptional. If you have the option of cooking breakfast yourself or eating here--- turn on the gas because it's really not worth the time or money. It's not bad, but eh. The servers are nice and it has a "country-kitchen" feel. I can see older folk, vacation in the area, to really enjoy it. It was fine, quiet and bright. It was reasonably priced. It did take a while for us to be waited on and served our food--- I think that's because it was a bit packed. If you are out of eggs and orange juice and under 30, like me, try it out, you won't be sad. However, if you have the time, keep looking. If you are retired and looking for a regular breakfast-joint, you'll feel right at home-- I think you are their target clientele. read more
