We went for lunch here and had a delicious meal. I had the pesto chicken caprese salad and my mother had the bolognese. I was not expecting actual chicken salad with pesto mayonnaise, but it was really good and worked. This was layered over arugula with fresh tomatoes, and a balsamic glaze. You never know what you're going to get with winter tomatoes, but these were red and had a lot of flavor. There was a good amount of chicken and the dish was filling. My mother enjoyed her Bolognese, which was over properly cooked pasta. We were very happy with our lunch at this restaurant. The weight staff was friendly and helpful. I had the pleasure of trying two of their pizzas last night, one was a Patata pizza with white sauce, potatoes, bacon, scallions and ranch, amazing! The second one was the buffalo chicken, a little skimpy on the chicken, but the flavor was good. The crust was crispy and delicious, not a normal pizza crust, I do believe someone said it was fried? my experience at this restaurant was horrifying. This does not represent Rochester New Hampshire. Among the items that we ordered was a Caesar salad which had no cheese in it, and the lettuce was moistened with the dressing with exactly 5 croutons. the shrimp scampi pasta was rolled in the sauce with nothing left over in the bottom, and the shrimp was overcooked. the waitress was pleasant to start with, but as soon as we expressed some discontent with our food, she became agitated and presented with a standoff attitude in response to our concerns about our food. She offered to have the manager come over. They did remove the shrimp scampi and the salad from the bill. they left us sitting there for quite a while waiting for our check and then waiting for her to pick it up and cash it out. As far as the restaurant itself, not a bad set up, but from where I was sitting, I could see back into the kitchen. The floor was dirty with a cleaning towel down on the floor. the carpet on one side of the restaurant was worn thin and the kitchen staff did not present professional. everything was à la cart and the prices were outrageous for the quality of the food. I was pretty excited when this place opened. I love Italian and there just aren't too many good Italian restaurants in my area. This restaurant, unfortunately, is just another three star Italian restaurant. Nothing we had was memorable. First, we had a reservation and still waited for almost :45 minutes to be seated. The place is extremely loud and not very comfortable. They have a great menu but the food, not so much. The Veal Saltimbocca was just ok and had an off flavor to it. Wouldn't recommend it. The chicken wrap was dry and bland. The eggplant malinese looked good but was limp as opposed to crispy and wasn't very flavorful. It was extremely busy as new restaurants tend to be, so maybe the cooks just had an off night. They do have a nice menu and I'll probably try it again at some point but was a little disappointed this time around. read more

I'd heard lines were out the door but I think it's just because it's new. Best thing about our meal was our server, she was fantastic. The dining area we sat in felt like a cafeteria and was lit up like a science lab. The lasagna fritters were really good and the desserts were fantastic. That's all. Veal parm was mostly breading in a super salty marinara. The shrimp Marsala was made with obviously frozen shrimp. My orecchiette was tasteless. The sauce was so watery it just sat in the bottom of the bowl. The sausage looked like dog food. I'm sorry but it just was not good. Evviva Trattoria opened in Rochester in October 2023, making this their first NH location. They serve Italian American cuisine offering a variety of pizzas, pasta dishes, classic & specialty Italian dishes, paninis, salads, soups, appetizers, and desserts. The prices are moderate and they offer small and regular portions on several dishes. I've dined at their Marlborough MA and Westford MA locations and have enjoyed tasty pasta dishes and pizzas there. The Orecchiette and the Bolognese are my favorites here. Evviva is a sister restaurant of 110 Grill, which also has another location in the same shopping center. I stopped by the new Evviva Trattoria in Rochester for Friday night dinner. The place was extremely busy (since it's payday for most people) when I got here around prime dinner rush. The place is very casual and a bit noisy, which has table seating, high top tables, and seating up at the bar with flatscreen TVs. There is also an outdoor patio seating area with an open fire table, similar to 110 Grill. The wait for a table was quoted 90 minutes, so no problem since I needed to do some shopping while I was here. Every seat at the bar was also occupied, which is first come first served. I returned an hour later and there were a few open seats up at the bar and took a seat. The hostess stopped by and I was all set now, eating up at the bar. A bartender arrived with a menu and took my drink order (got an ice water). I ordered the 9" Shrimp Scampi Pizza - Montanara Style ($15.50 plus tax) for dinner. As I was waiting, I saw several different entrees being served to other customers at the bar, giving me ideas on what to order on my next visit. The lasagna looked decent covered in lots of sauce, but the Chicken Parm, Short Rib Risotto and Meatball Fra Diavalo all looked very good and good portions too. My pizza arrived in about 20 minutes after ordering. The pizza had a fried crispy crust on the bottom, soft texture above and topped with white sauce, feta, garlic, tomatoes, baby shrimp, and toasted bread crumbs. I was initially going to get an entree too, but this pizza was very filling to eat. I figured, I can return here on a Wednesday night when they offer their $20 Pasta Deal which includes a side salad, smaller portion of select pasta dishes and a cannoli. I just got the check, which was $16.82 with tax and before tip. I was also able to use some 110 Grill Loyalty dollars towards this meal too. Overall, the service here was good and the fried crust shrimp scampi pizza was very tasty and filling. I really had a craving for pasta too, but that will have to wait. The staff here seems to be still learning things including operating the register and serving customers. It is very likely that I will take my Girlly Girl Pal to Evviva Trattoria for her birthday dinner, but probably at the Maynard, MA location, close to her workplace. read more

They say it's a scratch kitchen but yet couldn't make a loaf of garlic bread without cheese so that leads me to believe this is just premade frozen food that they heat up on those orders. First off, the good. Both our entrees, the Bolognese and the Earth and Turf, were great. I order steak tips frequently and many places have difficulty cooking them medium rare, but ET nailed it. Unfortunately, the calamari was room temp or worse by the time we got it. It was clearly sitting out for a while before the server brought it but it was tasty, though. We debated sending it back but ultimately decided not to (if you've seen the movie 'Waiting...'? I rarely send back food anywhere) Towards the end of the meal we noticed every table around us got bread and dipping oil, while we were never offered any and at that point, it was too late to ask. I would definitely go again but I hope they hammer out some of these issues as they become.more experienced. read more

First time dining here and I did not like the "ambiance" at all. It had the feel of a noisy cafeteria and was not appealing at all. Service was good and server was pleasant. We were a large party so I got to see many different dishes and hear the comments. Food was basically ok but they really should either learn how to prepare and serve fresh seafood or just take seafood off their menu. I have never seen such small, dried up scallops and word has it they were tasteless as was the risotto. The pizza was some of the best I've ever had and comments on the homemade chips were favorable The gorgonzola steak salad was tasty but I could have used a chainsaw to cut the steak tips. I really dislike to have to "work" on a meal I get in a restaurant, especially when I'm served tough meat. The steak tips should be sliced in the kitchen before the salad is served. Comments on the gnocchi were good and the pizza we had for an appetIzer was amazing. However one person in our party ordered a pizza as a meal and it was visibly burned with black spots all over it. This should NEVER have been brought to the table in that condition. The worst service I have ever experienced. We sat at the bar and the bartender/ waitress was terrible! She did give use menus when we got there but I had to call her over to order a drink and then again to place a food order after she was standing around conversing with another employee for 20 minutes. She never asked if we wanted another drink. Our salad came at the same time as the meal. Had to call her over again for our check long after we finished and she cleared the dishes. Love this place! Definitely a laid back atmosphere, but with hugher end food than you would normally get from a chain restaurant like Olive Garden. Staff is always super friendly and attentive and the service is great. We've sat in regular dining and the bar and have never been disappointed. Out of the five times I've been- a range of early or late dinner- they have consistently been out of the lasagna fritters. Service is prompt and I did not feel like I waited long at all. Third time there, this time was the last. My wife's pasta came out way overcooked and mushy. She told the waitress that we would be happy to pay for it, but she should know it was bad so the kitchen can fix it for the next customers. The manager then came over and offered her meal at no charge and the desserts we had just ordered would be on the house. As I said, we offered to pay and did not ask for anything. But he offered and we both said that was so professional of them that we would come back. Then the bill came and both desserts were billed. Ugh. I told the waitress they were supposed to be free and she took it back and returned saying "he told me to take off one dessert only". Oh. Ok. so he reconsidered his generous offer. Didn't realize they closed at 8, however, the restaurant still had several occupied tables. We ordered one last round of drinks, with some visible aggravation by Andre. We talked about dessert, he said the cheese cake was the best dessert on the menu. He did not ask if we wanted desserts at any point. Drinks came back, asked for dessert and he said the kitchen was closed. This was 8:05. We needed to get our order in at 7:58, his exact words. What kind of "higher end" restaurant closes all services exactly at 8? This isn't fast food. We were looking for a couple of to go orders only. Here's the kicker, when we were walking out at 8:30, a line cook was preparing a dessert for another table. What a disservice. We visited yesterday 5/22/23 it was our first time there and it happened to be senior skip day and the fist hot day of the summer so a large portion of their wait staff didn't show up. There were only two waitresses that night and they did AMAZING! Service was excellent, we had Michelle and she was so sweet. Even though they were short staffed they did well with the service and there wasn't any long wait times for food to table. The whole place worked together as a team and it showed. The food was amazing! All of us in our party were extremely happy with the food and that is hard with all of our dietary restrictions (gluten-free, Vegetarian, and picky eaters) to all be happy at a place. My wife and I stopped into Evviva Trattoria in Rochester, NH for dinner Wednesday 12/13/23. We were offered to sit at the bar because of the 45 minute to hour wait to get a table. Everyone we came in contact with the entire evening was super friendly and helpful. I was a little surprised, however, at the more "sports bar" atmosphere vs what they call "trattoria". We ordered a "caesar salad" to try as an appetizer, but there was little flavor, and not really much of any "caesar" dressing. My wife had the 'Balsamic Braised Short Rib', and it was really, really good. However, my selection of 'Chicken & Broccolini Alfredo' had very little flavor. A few specs of parsley, and for a "Chicken and..." there was little of the main "chicken" ingredient. All in all: taking away from the fact that this is not a "trattoria", the food, though a little pricey and slanted more toward a focus on their pizzas, was pretty good with a great staff that's attentive and friendly making it a nice, neighborhood place to go for a casual meal. read more

Great concept not so great execution. Reservations: pointless got seated at a table for 4 with 5 people in our party even though booths were taken up by 3 people that fit what looks like 8. Service: not great. Had to remind waitress multiple times of things she forgot or didn't get at all. Didn't clear the table at all until we were ready to leave. Extra glasses, finished appetizers,etc. Food: Italian concept but lacking the authenticity. Got the veal and it was so heavily seasoned with basil it tasted like a Christmas tree. The pizza we ordered was the same way. Value: A little overpriced for what was offered and served. After taking out pizza here a number of times, and having a consistently good experience, I decided to dine in and try some of the other menu items. Our server was Veronica, and she was very friendly and attentive. We started with the Mediterranean Falafel bowl which was large enough to share. It was a nice refreshing salad with good flavors and textures. Entrees were the macaroni and cheese which was a bit bland, but tasted freshly made, and the veggie risotto which was a nice mix of flavors. The dessert was the highlight of the meal; the Strawberry Cream Cake - Highly recommend-the cake is a cross between regular cake and shortcake and all the flavors and textures come together nicely! read more
