We had had a great server who paced our dishes perfectly. There are multiple ways to approach dinner here as they offer a variety of small and large plates. We chose a couple of small plates to start and sample, followed by an entree each. Plenty of food as the portions were generous. We ended up taking home part of each entree for lunch the next day. I tried the Huli Huli chicken buns, hoping for a little bit of Hawaii flavor, and these were delicious. They are priced individually so you can order as many as you like. I thought one was a reasonable appetizer portion. Unfortunately, the Cavatelli was sold out, but they offered another delicious pasta in it's place. I had the Plum Char Sui Pork, again a generous portion of melt in your mouth pork. Lots of that delicious five spice flavor, which hit all the right notes. Perhaps a bit too much of the sauce for me, but this was a delicious plate and I thought reasonably priced as compared to many other restaurants lately. I can see why this chef has gotten a James Beard nod, and a great spot to enjoy when in Dover

The food, I ordered the tonkotsu ( pork bone broth Ramen) was absolutely delicious. The ramen were firm, a bit chewy in a good way, the vegetables were crisp, the pork belly was decadent. The flavors are layered so perfectly that each spoonful they are dancing on your tongue. I will certainly return and now more often as the parking out back is free and convenient. R

The service is consistently friendly and attentive, and the menu pairs perfectly with the excellent house cocktails from their full bar. The ramen bowls remain the highlight. The Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, especially, is outstanding: a rich, deeply flavorful broth, tender pork, and that comforting warmth that hits the spot on a cold New Hampshire day. The Bao Bao buns are a great way to start the meal, and the Takoyaki--light, crispy spheres filled with diced octopus and drizzled with savory sauces--adds a fun, flavorful twist to the appetizer lineup. On our latest visit, we tried the Okdol Bibimbap. The presentation was appealing and the flavors were solid, but the dish leaned a bit too heavily on the rice compared to the protein and vegetables. A slightly more generous balance of toppings would bring it right up to the level of their other standouts. Even so, this place continues to impress, and I'm already looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu on my next visit.

Just in case we made a reservation as it was recommended on the website. It's an authentic Mediterranean restaurant located in Somersworth, NH. The restaurant is slightly hidden as its located on lower floor of a building what it looks like to be an old train station. Inside is cozy with dark dim lights, relaxing instrumental music and decorations of train signs. We ended up arriving very early but they were able to accommodate us. We got hot turkish tea, lavash bread, mixed appetizer plate with babagannush, haydari, hammus, tabouli, and adana kebab. My partner got the chicken shish kebab. Hot turkish tea came with very fancy tray and cup. Tea was earthy and smoky. Lavash bread is huge steaming bread with crusty outside and chew soft inside. The bread paired perfectly with the mixed appetizer plate. I personally liked haydari the best. It reminded of cream cheese a bit as it was based on yogurt. The adana kebab was excellent. It came with perfectly grilled spiced lamb, rice, salad and mashed potatoes. Tender flavorful lamb paired well with rice and mashed potatoes. Salad was ok but good addition to balance the meal. Service was excellent and our server was very attentive and kept offering refills for our Turkish tea freshly made every time. Overall the place was great and such a hidden gem. Food is great, price is reasonable, and service is excellent. It was one of the best restaurant that we had tried while visiting NH. Would love to come back when planning a trip back to NH.

Ember Wood Fired Grill - Mark had the chicken parm and it was delicious. The white is Italian cheese and the chicken was done so perfectly.

A convenient parking lot directly across the street was a gem since we were in a hurry to warm back up inside. Upon entering, it seemed like a quiet night for the restaurant. The hostess at the front desk was not particularly welcoming or friendly to our family of four, and although there were available tables on the main level, she said she was seating us upstairs. We followed her up to a beautiful dining space with an impressive bar, warm lighting, rustic details, and so much charm. Our server, Scott, was fantastic! Incredibly knowledgeable and patient, providing great recommendations from the menu. We were able to enjoy a delicious dinner, featuring the Ember Burger (so many layers of flavor with a shallot jam, mustard aioli, and cherrywood bacon), a kids' pizza (which is basically a whole medium pizza), and delicious Chicken Vodka Parmesan, which has some kick from the house-made spicy vodka sauce. In the mood to be adventurous, I explored the specialty cocktail menu, crafted with unique ingredients and thoughtfulness. Based on Scott's recommendation, I opted for the Hummingbird Down, made with green chartreuse from Carthusian monks and house-made honey syrup. The herbaceous, spirited beverage was so complex that I enjoyed it until the last sip. I can see the appeal of this location for an intimate date night, chill girls' dinner, and even private events; the space is beautiful! If we lived locally, we'd certainly be coming back!

The upstairs was cozy and conducive to great conversation. The bar was easy to access and both bartenders were delightful. The bar menu was quite extensive and the drink offerings were creative. They set up a nice buffet. The food was OK. Many of the attendees were from UNH and commented that the quality was similar to what you get at a UNH event. I liked the meatballs, the gravy (sauce) was better than most places, but there was no red pepper flakes or parm available to enhance. The empanadas looked great but were just OK... They would benefit from some hot sauce. All in all, I would recommend Ember for a catered event, business meeting, etc for its ambiance, service, clean and convenient rest room, beautiful bar, and ample parking in the garage.
