Excellent food all prepared in house. Limited menu but something for everyone. Great craft beer and full bar. Excellent selection of wines. I would Go back and I recommend. Enjoy! read more

Always have a good meal but wish they would change their menu at some point. Good beer and meal. Casual setting though I try to go when no music as I don't enjoy music playing while eating as we cannot have a conversation. read more

Great food and beer selection! Shannon was a great server and bartender - and the food here is elevated beyond the typical "bar food" of other breweries. Street Corn Mac & Cheese was good enough to be an entree and the Eggplant Pita sandwich was crazy good - the roasted peppers on it were perfect as was the subtle crunch of the eggplant. Prices are also very reasonable. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

Great food, always great service. I like that they rotate the menu. You can tell they really care!

My favorite fish and chips in Dover by far. They are always busy so you should go early to get a seat during prime dining hours. Cocktails are well made in addition to some great beers. Perfect for a casual meal. read more

I love it here. Great meal last night. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent. The fish was very fresh and flavorful. Excellent service and very reasonably priced with what I call the Dover Discount. This meal easily $20-$40 more expensive in Portsmouth and $50 more expensive in Boston. It was getting very busy when we left and I can see why. You deserve it Chapel + Main. Great job. read more

Chapel + Main is a lovely laid-back restaurant with a creative menu especially the appetizers and cocktails. Vegans, vegetarians and people with nut allergies will be comfortable here. The proprietor and the wait staff are always attentive. I like that the food is locally sourced whenever possible and prepared on site. My husband and I have been coming here since it was opened and we are never disappointed. read more

What a delicious meal we had tonight!! Shrimp Pesto Alfredo and The Osso Bucco.. 5 stars for everything!!! Service and atmosphere too!!

Had a wonderful lunch with a friend .. Picked an amazing fish and chip entree at the waitress recommendation... Best batter that I've ever had !!! read more

This place continues to put out great food, great beer and a great scene. This was one of my top three for 2024. Tonight we went in and I had the most delicious curry squash soup. Def one of the best spots Dover has to offer. P.S. The owner is super nice as previously stated. read more

Desperate for a place on a Tuesday night, we ended up here and were pleasantly surprised. We were warmly welcomed and seating by the window. We tried several 4 oz beers at $2.00/each. All beers and apps were great! Easy parking too! read more

We went a little later on a Sunday night and they were out of a couple of things but that's okay. They have a great menu and we chose the fish and chips as well as mac and cheese for some comfort food on a beautiful fall evening. To go along with us, we ordered a old fashion which was probably one of the best we've had in a long long time. The fish was an ample portion of white fish with a great beer batter cooked on the outside to a crispy texture and the inside was soft cooked whitefish. It was delicious. It came with coleslaw which was way above average and some good fries. The mac and cheese past the test and we enjoyed our dinner immensely. The service was beyond belief. We talked with both bartenders as we are new to the area and they gave us great suggestions for food, drink and entertainment around the area. Going above and beyond this type of service. Will make sure we come back soon. It's a great little place kind of in a strip mall, but the inside has a great ambience. We loved it. One of the better pub beer microbrewery vibes we've had in a long time. We will be back. read more

Long time customer. They are doing their "Winter menu" and they dropped the famous Fish & Chips... Bummer. Previous years they kept it on but now one of the key items is no longer available. Tried a new item, BROCCOLI RABE, and it was ok. A little over cooked, salty (which over powered some of the ingredients) and the portion was much smaller than expected for a green. Overall the menu prices also went up, will probably try other options next time we are in Dover. read more

Laid back environment with cute homey decor. Waitress was kind and attentive. Food tasted great however the portions are small for the price. read more

I went to Chapel + Maine on a Saturday evening around 7. I was greeted with a smile and immediately seated. It was a busy night, but service was prompt and inviting. Having previously previewed the menu I had a general idea of what I wanted. I asked a few questions, and the server recommended the fish and chips. Oh how I wish I had gone with the meatloaf sandwich instead! When the fish arrived it was so HEAVILY breaded that it was hard to taste the fish. After peeling it off of the two filets, I was able to finally get to the fish. The fries underneath were extremely salty. The cole slaw was tasty. Overall it seems like a nice place for some very basic pub food. Most likely I will not go back. But perhaps, I will just to try that meatloaf sandwich that looked absolutely amazing. read more

We love this place! The servers are pleasant and quirky-cool. The beer is fresh and delish. The food is carefully crafted and always tasty. I heartily recommend the meatloaf sammy. It's consistently amazing! We keep coming back and are never disappointed. read more

Eclectic but subtle, C+M offers a nice open seating area with plenty of seating and lots of unusual art to survey including the seats themselves. You'll spend some time trying to remember which home kitchen you saw such and such a chair at. The menu is equally diverse. The corn doggies I could eat all day long and the roast pork sandwich was both unique and excellent. I wanted the butter brown brownie but I was full so, another time. Service was friendly, I thought the drinks could have come quicker considering it wasn't that busy but that's only a small complaint. read more

Outstanding! Met a friend here for lunch on a Sunday. Was surprised to find a bluegrass band playing when she and I arrived! We sat at the bar and our bartender/server was attentive, friendly and had great recommendations. The harissa pork stew was delicious, so was the meatloaf sandwich. Clearly a skilled chef made these seemingly simple comfort food dishes launch into the stratosphere. Will definitely be back! read more

Good food - limited menu. It was a nice vibe and friendly servers. We all ended up getting fish and chips except one who got the meatloaf - it was pretty good but not the best I've had in the area. read more

Had a reservation for 7:00 and it was packed. It's 7:25 and we're still waiting. They came and Kept us up to date. Still . . . We've looked at the menu and know what we're getting. Nice vibe inside. No one's rushed. Plenty of room. Can see service is slow and they are understaffed like everywhere else. Will update when we sit and get food. Update: seated 7:35. Ordered drinks, food and asked for check all at once. Wait staff is great. Drink came in moose glass. Was told they get glasses from thrift stores so they are all different. I'm not a complainer. I'm patient. We ordered at 7:40. It was 8:30 before we got the food Hubby got fish and chips. Excellent and huge portion. Fries had way too much salt on them. Son at UNH got Korean fried chicken sandwich and enjoyed it a lot but wished he got fish and chips once he tried it. I got autumnal salad which was fine. Because of timing we would only do take out. We ate at 8:30 from 7:00 reservation. read more

Love Chapel and Main! Ben and the crew provide amazing food and a great vibe. Dog friendly outdoor seating is a bonus.

Great IPAs in Dover! Who knew? We were after excellent IPAs and dinner. We are pretty difficult to please when it comes to beer, but WOW every one of the IPAs was good, and three of them blew our socks off (Dragon, Stomp Box, Show Puppy). Our group of seven made reservations for 6 pm on a Wednesday evening and we were seated right away. Our server was super-personable without chatting unnecessarily, was aware of what we would need and made sure we had it. Food was really good too. Fish and Chips was probably the best of what we had, but everyone was please with their meal. Our only complaints: It's pretty loud and we didn't appreciate the pork chop art or the mural on the walls (art is subjective though, right?) Thanks to Ben and staff for a great evening, and especially the Stomp Box. read more

Great friendly staff food was great! I would recommend this Restaurant I will definitely return

Great beer & Good food.. well done! A lot of breweries have at the most one or the other. They have both. Totally unexpected in a strip mall. read more

We used to love coming here, but it seems like the menu hasn't changed in a while and the dishes on the menu aren't great. Feels like someone maybe gave up? Or there is a change in ownership? There actually was not a single thing on the menu this time around that my husband and I were interested in even ordering. I was at least excited about fried artichokes on my salad, but when they came out, they were just artichokes out of the can with Italian dressing. I ordered the mussels and asked if they would be spicy at all. Our server said they were not spicy at all, but they turned out to be so spicy that I couldn't even eat them. Sadly we won't be back. read more

10 out of 10! Fantastic craft beers, creative and delicious comfort foods, cozy ambiance, and fabulous service! We are former Dover dwellers and C&M is one more reason to keep coming back to our favorite NH city! We loved the chicken nuggets, Rueben croquettes, fish & chips, pork sandwich, and tomato soup. Stomp Box was the beer of choice and we liked it so much, we took cans to go. Perfect hazy IPA! (We live 3 miles from a Tree House brewery so this is saying a lot!) read more

A limited menu. A great menu. They brew there own. Great staff. Their meatloaf sandwich is something you try not to talk about. You'll miss it more. EXCELLENT They also have a smoked trout spread is outstanding. So far we've been luck enough to dine outside. You won't regret it read more

We LOVED the food here! And the cocktails. And the friendly staff. We were visiting our kids, and this spot was suggested by them. Located in a funky Dover strip mall, with more of a bar-like interior, we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! I don't remember what everyone else ordered, I just remember that all of us were impressed. I tried the Shrimp Orrchette (sp?)... DELICIOUS!!! The only thing I would change is adding another site closer to me, like, you know... San Diego! read more

Been here a few times, no complaints. Always tasty food, great service, very convenient location. The first time I went, I was super pregnant and they made me a delicious mocktail. Service not great - very slow and inattentive. Had to flag the server for water, check, etc. Food average at best. Not worth the $$.

Ok so I've been here a few times and the food was always good. we ordered takeout tonight- didn't get the French fries, I called back and requested the fry charge be refunded. They said no problem. Fast forward - I go outside to take the dog for a walk and find the French fries on the stoop and got a refund! talk about customer service! I'm beyond floored.
