Absolutely delicious! I came in on a Tuesday night and the place is slammed. The hostess told me it's a 35 minute wait so I'd be better off at the bar. She was right I found a seat right away and was able to get food pretty quick. Server was super nice and the place was pretty cool. I'm getting very lively for a Tuesday night. I would've loved to be here with some friends and not on a work trip. I got the lobster chowder and it was delicious. You don't get a ton but it was $15 and it's lobster. Then I got the green salad with chicken. It had sunflower seeds on it and I got a vinaigrette. One time a former employer of mine, told me to bring them home some cheap lobster while I was in Maine. I told him there is no "cheap" lobster up here. For a food to start out being fed to prisoners it sure has become a delicacy. $38 some bucks for a lobster salad here. If you're staying across at the end, you can just walk over. Honestly, though this does not seem like a place that only the people staying at the end go to I'm not sure if other places are this packed on a Tuesday night in this town, but it seems like a hotspot. read more

Mixed review here. I liked the ambiance and the service was perfectly fine. I immediately got the vibe that this place walks a line between "fine-ish" dining and down to earth, Maine, habits... which in on board with that line being walked! The wings were DELICIOUS. Not much to update as they are consistently great with their food! The artichoke dip is the best. I can't pass it up every time I dine here. I always end up having to bring food home. They have a great variety of different foods for all. The staff are nice. You can use their free parking lot if dining or staying in the hotel. read more

This review is for the Cellar restaurant at York Harbor Inn. This pub is located on the lower level of the historic York Harbor Inn. Great atmosphere. The bar is reminiscent of an old wooden schooner. Some of the structure is from actual ship. The food is excellent and the staff are fantastic. We make sure we get up there every year for a relaxing for time for beverages and great food. read more

One of the better Margherita flatbreads I've had. Very tasty. However the seafood chowder wasn't that good--very bland and was served lukewarm. For $12 I could've done without it. I do appreciate the variety in menu, you could order a fancy meal (like what they serve upstairs in their main restaurant), or you could just order a burger. Fun vibe, the decor makes you feel like you're on a ship. A little dark inside so keep your flashlight handy... If it weren't for yelp I might've missed this place just driving by. They keep the door open but there's no huge "Cellar Pub" sign besides the writing above the door. It's very easy to miss. Not sure if this is how they want it since it is part of the York Harbor Inn but it would probably be smart to add a bigger sign to attract more customers that are passing by. Casual place with good food and good service by Corey. Great Cheese Burger but the fries were just ok. We started off with delicious onion rings and I had a Caesar Salad which was just ok. My wife had the parmesan crusted chicken which she truly enjoyed. It was crowded so recommend making reservations. We went there on Saturday night so they had a one man band playing and he was good. I would recommend parking on the street because the parking lot behind the inn has no lights on a dirt parking lot. We would definitely go back. read more

I've been coming here for many years and the food never disappoints. I'm very picky about my steak n cheese sandwiches and theirs is excellent. I've never had a bad meal and the drinks are excellent as well. My only complaint?? The bar stools. I'm short and even I have to sit hunched over. The chairs are way too tall. Hit it right and you might have some nice music to listen to live. Everyone here is very friendly and efficient. We never need to ask for anything. Highly recommend! read more

I have yet to have a bad meal here for years and same for service. This is probably the best french onion soup and chicken tip sub of all time! It is a dark atmosphere with the boat feel - the other customers seem to be either stuck up or enjoying vacation. Recently had the pleasure of Erin as our server, she was above and beyond with kindness and making sure we had a great time, we ordered an app and 1 entrees, but that didnt matter to her, she was just as attentive and polite as a $200 tab. My biggest issue is the prices, its great food but the pub food is at fine dining prices. $20 for crispy /thin (delicious) flatbread- is not reasonable. $30 for an seafood entree yes, fair but some pub style items (for the ship cellar pub) should be lowered. read more

We have been going to the Ship's Cellar Pub for years but left very disappointed tonight. The service was very good but the entrance to the pub was dusty and dirty and the restaurant itself needed a good dusting. The food was disappointing. I had the salad "special ". It was a very marginal salad for $16.00 and my husband had the baked scallops. The scallops were fine but the green beans were almost uncooked and a mound of plain white rice rounded out a $36.95 entree. With 1drink and 1 ice tea and tip the bill was $72.13. Quite a hefty bill for a pub dinner. Taking this pub off the " let's eat out tonight" list. read more

friendly staff. Our waitress was wonderful! I'm between a 2-3 for stars. We used to really enjoy coming here and were excited to come back after a brief hiatus ( pandemic) my husband was excited to see new fish dishes added to the menu which he enjoyed. I was shocked to see that all of the vegetarian items had been removed from the menu there used to be pizza a tofu dish and a veggie burger. Seems also like most of the pub menu items e.g. snacks had also been removed. When I asked if they had any vegetarian options the waitress said just one salad seems like a miss to me. There were four of us in our party two being vegetarian's.:( It's a cool interior and definitely worth grabbing a drink and if you are not a vegetarian definitely worth grabbing something to eat. We dined here twice this week. The service is friendly and welcoming. Both meals were very good. Over two days we had the Lobster roll, classically prepared with fresh fresh lobster. Broiled scallops, a generous portion simply prepared to bring out the fresh flavors of the scallops. Three cheese flatbread, another generous portion well done. Haddock Sammy, my favorite. The surprise hit is their simple salad. So fresh, so well balanced with just the right amount of dill dressing. So simple and so good. read more

This restaurant is amazing! It's a hidden gem tucked inside York Harbor Inn! Went to visit twice a while back and loved it! The food was so delicious and flavorful and our waitress, Paige, was super friendly! I really appreciate them going above and beyond to accommodate the food I wanted to make it gluten-free so I could still eat it, even with my celiac disease. The performer, Steve, was excellent! I was so happy that he played a Beatles song that I requested! Also shoutout to Reilly, the hostess, for great customer service and Paul, one of the York Harbor Inn managers, for being super sweet, friendly, and cheerful! Everyone makes me feel welcome here! Really nice place to go before the tourists show up its a little dark because you really do feel like you are in a ships lower deck. The food is really great. Flatbread pizza is outstanding. Service is good. Really great bartender (Dave). Comfortable easy environment. Good parking across from park/ocean Salads are phenomenal. Really fresh ingredients and unique combinations. This place is special. Its cozy, open year round, serves free food for happy hour, its warm in the winter, and the AC BLOWS COLD in the summer. Best, the best seafood chowder outside of my house (get it here, mine takes all day, and they always have it on the menu here.) The mussels and crabcakes are lovely as well. The double lobster roll is my annual treat for that sandwich. I have split it and we have not been able to finish either half. Such a delicious dinner two nights in a row-one downstairs in the pub and the other upstairs in the dining room (the menus are the same, but they make a delicious bread with roasted garlic side in the upstairs dining room!) Had both the lobster and the seafood chowder- both were very, very good. Also very much enjoyed the spinach and strawberry salad- the cheese especially was incredible and loved the nuts; I added scallops the second night and they were incredible. Wish I could eat that like every day. The orange blossom chicken app was spicy but honestly great. And my husband really enjoyed his lobster roll. The only thing that was just okay was the crab Parmesan dip that was on special, but really enjoyed our meals! Good service and great atmosphere in both locations. Disappointed. The main restaurant was not open. Had to dine in a sweltering hot basement. It was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other. So, York Harbor Inn has a beautiful restaurant and yet chooses to cram guests in the basement. Will not be back until the main dining room is open every day. read more

Ate dinner here last night. It's dark, cozy and the decor is classic, wooden yacht. The Pats were on at the bar but it's not really a sports bar. There are different areas and rooms besides the bar area. They serve the full menu from the upstairs restaurant. The salads are great. Their homemade veggie patty is yummy. Service was friendly.
