    Texas Twinkie (would recommend trying)
    John M.

Popped in from the cold as the restaurant looked inviting. Personally, I am a fan of sour beers, which I found to be great! In addition to the beers, there was various barbecue options. The menu had your standards but the Texas Twinkie looked to be the most unique. If you want to try something different, the deep fried jalapeno with cheese and meat is worth trying!

Great food and beer (and music!). A slow Wednesday for them is a bonus for me! Very nice, helpful staff and YUMMY crunch wrap!

Like stepping into your dad's man cave of a basement. I must have very different taste buds compared to these other reviewers but there were only 2 beers I would drink here out of the 9. The other flavored ones all had a funky after taste, kind of cough syrupy. But the 2 I enjoyed was their blond ale which was one of the best I've had and the Depeach a'la mode. We ordered a pretzel and sausages and both were really good and came with a super spicy mustard. Would love a good cheese dip to go with them instead. They have plenty of seating inside and dogs are allowed. Outside there is corn hole and a couple of tables.

Great beer selection, something for everyone.

Great beer selection, something for everyone. The staff is always very friendly. Very laid back vibe.

Cute glasse and flights but beer was meh.

Not the beers for me. We all got 4 sample flights but there wasn't a single beer I would buy again. Very sour tart beers. Also the aesthetic was very weird, music themed but also the tshirts were very little league style. Dogs were allowed inside and that was the only thing worth wild about this place.

    This growler was awesome.

I'm a big fan of the Little Changes Lager and the Big Brown Ale. I highly recommend them.

We're here weekly. Big ABV beers in general, great people working, and always a nice crowd. Can't recommend enough if you're in the area.

Entering the venue, soft Celtic music plays in the background, lending a beautiful atmosphere accented by old farm tables, dark green wainscoting and mug club mugs lining the mouldings. The beer selections are superb. I had their IPA, aromatic and very tasty. Then the Stout, a strong tasting and aromatic dark brew. Food wise, we had the pulled pork sandwich and the Korean Style Brisket. Both were equally superb. Service was simply superb. Overall, one of the nicest brewers we've been to in some time. Met up with locals friends here for some post food brew. The beer was decent, not great. The sour-meh There was a concert upstairs & the place was packed. The barkeep gave me a solid book recommendation. I love the general space/ family style seating. I didn't see the bill but prices seemed average for the area. By the time we wrapped up our single pour, it was dead quiet, with only 1 other occupied table. [ETA: EXCELLENT follow up from the business. I absolutely would go back and give em another go. Also, I think I saw a farmers market type area on exit but nobody in my group would let me go nose around. Bah, I need better friends.]

Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.

We are SO glad to have visited this little nano brewery!!! This place is in the middle of nowhere,…read moreset back on a long dirt road, downstairs in a wooden barn. Maybe only 200 sq ft (if that) space inside; 1 tall table with 4 high stools, 2 leather chairs, rest of the space are standing room only. A tight fit, but so cool inside! Needless to say, beer only - they don't have the license to serve beer in pints, but you can get the 4 oz samples and growlers to go. The place was PACKED when we were here; but everyone was very friendly and shared the small space together. They had 8 beers on tap; we had to try all 8! Everything was really solid; my fav was the stout and hubby liked the IPA. We didn't get to talk to the brew master as it was so crowded, but really enjoyed the experience and would recommend this place to anyone who is passing through or vacationing nearby. Just a side note - the bathroom situation is very interesting... the toilet is a cross between portal potty and compose. A bit high up and there's actually a step stool for the ladies to step up to "sit" on the seat. Bathroom is not dirty and doesn't smell...but it is definitely a hole for the waste to go in; no flushable water. By the toilet, under the bucket sink (with bud light tap as the water faucet control!) there' a bucket of dirt. Sign says to put a scoop in after you poop (ha!). Not an ideal situation for female, but still better than portal potty.
