"I feel bad for you" - our server, as she delivered us our food. We were looking for somewhere to go for our first "kid-free" date since having a new baby at home, and came here due to the positive reviews and looking to try some beers while grabbing lunch. The beers were good. They pack a lot of flavor in! IPAs were good. Pickle beer was very heavy on the pickle brine flavor. Our service was not great. My wife ordered a Caprese Mushroom dish. When it came out, the waitress told my wife "I feel so bad for you, we are out of basil. I don't know how good it will be, let me know. I feel so bad for you." If she knew one of the four main ingredients was missing, it could have been mentioned before making the dish so as to confirm that we still wanted that option. The dish was otherwise watery and not great. When the server came to take our plates, she should have also clocked that the meal was hardly touched. If you have to say "I feel bad for you" as you serve a customer their food, that's not a great sign. I ordered a steak and cheese which was very good. I ordered onion rings as a side. The server said "that'll be more expensive" as she walked away, despite the menu saying the meal came with the choice of one side. It didn't matter anyways, as my sandwich came with French fries instead of the onion rings I ordered. The French fries were very good, but not what I ordered. I ordered a flight of 6 tasters, and one came out empty. I was told "I don't have that one right now" by the server before she walked away, but not before she spilled the other beers as she put them down. I had to wait for her to come back and ask whether she was waiting for the empty beer to be tapped or if I was supposed to pick a new one, as it was unclear and she hadn't asked what I'd liked instead. Seems like a great venue and atmosphere is probably a lot of fun on a weekend or at night. We weren't expecting anything over the top at a brewery on a Monday for lunch. Beers were decent, and standard pub fare was good. Overall, we would not return based on the service. read more

Went for dinner and got lucky to hear a really good band. Sat outside and Maddy was a wonderful server. She had some ground to cover going back and forth with orders, she did great. Hello my fellow Yelp Brewery folks. If you find yourself wondering the streets of Manchester, NH. You need to wonder into this place. The build as the oldest brewery in NH, well it is probably in one of the oldest industrial mill buildings. Excellent selection of brews and they also distill spirts as well. I am a bit of a bourbon snob, with that being said thought it was pretty good. I ordered the Zilla Double IPA which made for a great pairing. Check this place out and wonder no more. Ok so if you get food expect a wait, even a multi hour wait depending .. just know what you want when you get there and order with your drinks! Dog friendly, there are high top little tables, the bar, and some more dining room type seating in the back. Most dogs are amazing though did once have a dog take out som chairs and almost a table to get to mine. Wait staff is super friendly - we love them! Beer is delicious, i love sours, so I'm happy. Broad selection. They also have a mug club which is nice and long open hours! We will be back again and again and again! Also nice having such a large parking lot! read more

I was in recently for an event in one of their function rooms. I got there early so I sat at the bar and figured I would have a drink. I was shocked by the amount of fruit flies. Yes, the weather is nice any maybe that contributes to it but I couldn't help but be grossed out. Was it the taps? The keg lines? Improper storage of food? Checked out Stark Brewing while in Manchester. Staff was super friendly and quickly brought us to our seats and the service was attentive and friendly from walking in until we left. I ordered a gouda burger which came with bacon on it and lettuce/tomato. I opted for no onions and ordered the burger well done. The outside of the burger was well done but the middle was pink to red and definitely was not cooked well. The side of homemade mashed potatoes were inedible as the amount of garlic in them could be smelled as the plate made its way from the kitchen to the table. Others at the table had a pulled pork melt, macaroni and cheese and a crispy chicken sandwich that had ranch and cheddar on it. Everyone noted that their food was good but not great. Pretty standard pub fare and an impressive menu but the food was just okay. The staff certainly made the experience better but all in all wouldn't be rushing back to Stark Brewing any time soon just for the food. read more

this was a great place to take my kids for lunch. the music was good, an hr the drink was great, but the food was the best! I tried an 8 count fight (unheard of!), and my kids tried both the pizza and mac n cheese. both were loved and enjoyed. the $1 buffalo wings (Wednesday's special) were good, but needed more sauce. the pizza by far was the hot of the afternoon. soft and cheesy! a great place for lunch, or dinner! read more

Taco Tuesday served all day! Had 2 chicken and a pulled pork tacos, so good. Came with sour cream and salsa to kick them up, made a good flavored taco a bit better. $2 chicken/beef/ pulled pork tacos $3 Shrimp/fish tacos. A good value. We heard Stark was indoors dog friendly so we went in for a late afternoon drink and apps. Our dog Millie was loved up by everyone and our server was friendly, helpful and so nice to chat with. She brought Millie water and kept coming over to give her lots of attentions. Out fall drinks were delicious and we had to take the pretzel home. The draft beer selection is plenty and varied; all options tried were good to great. For food, they do deep frying well; crispy to perfection. Service was amazing, staff were very attentive and nice. We ordered an IPA and a cider for drinks. Then, we ordered stuffed mushrooms and chicken tenders. That night there was a band playing. Drinks - I think their beers are definitely not my favorite. They have great selections though. Food - We found plastic inside our mushrooms. The manager decided to take it off our bill. Had some spare time before my flight home so my friend and I stopped in for a drink. Very cool ambiance. They make all their beers in house. Cool gift shop as you walk in, bars further inside. My mom and I just had a couple appetizers- the Loaded Nachos with pulled pork and the chicken tenders with honey garlic sriracha. So delicious! I'll be coming back in April for my wedding Welcome Party so I stopped in to try the food. Love it and the ambiance is nice. Was nearby and decided to stop by and I am glad I did. They have been in business for over 45 years in the area years and at the same location for 25 years. I drank flights of a wide variety of beers (really liked the Bruiser IPA and Milly's Oatmeal Stout). Service was quick, friendly, and attentive (thanks Phil). Full bar and food menu. Stopped in for lunch after coming across their booth at the Made in New England Expo today and super glad I did! We have family in Manchester, so when we visit we ALWAYS make a point to go to Stark. The beers are top notch! How could we not? We always get incredible service, especially Denise who actually introduced herself to us upon greeting us. We tell everyone about Stark Brewing Company. One thing my wife did point out to me, was there's never a manager there. I'm sure he or she is there somewhere, but at most restaurants we frequent, we notice managers walking around, saying hi to their guests. Not once have we seen that here. Maybe it's just not something Stark does, which is fine. Just thought we should point that out. We'll be back real soon, hopefully to check out karaoke! read more

Their "pizza" had minimal sauce. I ordered chicken on my pizza. I have no idea what was on my pizza when it arrived. It was all dough. We ordered appetizers that arrived well after the pizza arrived. 4/26/2021 - DINNER SERVICE FOOD Two of my friends and I attended dinner on April 26th, 2021. We had about 2 of your beers each, I ordered and ate 2 appetizers, and my friends had an entree each. My friend who I will refer to as G, ordered BOURBON BRISKET - $15.00 - Smoked brisket with Bourbon BBQ, bacon and Cheddar. When it arrived it definitely looked like what she had ordered but it lacked lust for sure. It truly looked like something you'd expect to get served at a large production buffet or like you'd receive at a cafeteria in middle school. G, still ate it since we had already been waiting quiet awhile since it was already so busy. This is a decision she greatly regretted about an hour or two after finishing it. This was the point in which G started feeling extremely ill (stomach extremely upset - immediate need for the bathroom - I will leave it at that) We all live in Massachusetts and this all started happening on the ride back home. We were relishing in the amazing day we all got to have together and then to have this happen has left us all with a much different feeling. She was already not impressed with how the food look and its lack of any real taste to then have this is just ridiculous. There is something that went extremely wrong in the kitchen that night when preparing her meal. I would also like to add that the bathrooms (both Male and Female) were disgusting. I'm extremely outraged that this culmination of events completely ruined a beautiful day with friends and has continued into more discomfort for my friend G. It makes me even more concerned and livid that we had these particular issues DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. If there is not enough staff to properly operate your establishment, why even be open that evening?! I feel that whom ever made that decision to stay open was clearly caring more about potential earnings rather than the SAFTY of their guests, staff, or community around them. None of us will EVER be returning to this restaurant or anything associated with it. If the opportunity arises I will try and warn people considering this restaurant as a legitimate option to highly reconsider.
