Okay the food was great I got the Baked Cod wifey got the Swordfish and we got the Fried Calamari and Banana Peppers as a appetizer in the dining room you have full view of the Chef and he was in there by himself Cheffing it up and shout out to him all the food was cooked to perfection as a matter of fact the only reason this isn't getting 5 stars was truly the wait the Staff was kind and friendly but we sat there for almost 45 minutes before we even got to put our appetizers in he got my drink wrong and the whole ordeal was about a little over a hour and half the appetizer was pretty much served with the food even though we ordered it earlier and separate so 5/5 stars for the chef and food quality but I'd give the wait staff 2 stars honestly the food was so good though and cooked so perfect I'm settling on 4 stars honestly total and as a reference they were not packed at all the servers will avoid eye contact so you almost need to yell to them other than that food was great

Charred. Check your to go orders before you go! 110 Chicken Caprese

This was a pick up order. I watched the chef forget my chicken caprese in the oven and the host (maybe manager) call to him to inquire about it. The chef immediately pulled it out, both employees saw the extremely overcooked chicken and they then packaged it up and shipped it out. I had a feeling when we got back to the hotel it was going to be charred. It was. Accidents happen. What bothers me is that two employees saw the state of the chicken and still decided to serve it. My husband got the shrimp scampi. That was decent and the reason for 2 stars vs 1 star

Red bell pepper not even chopped...looked like an octopus

Twice the wait for a take out order with over cooked meat and thrown together salad. Burger was a brick, asked for medium rare...same for the steak tips. No ketchup, no fork to eat the salad with.

Great service and always seasonal food that hits the spot. Great place for those with allergies. Bar staff fun and interactive. We had a good time.

We had kind of a mixed bag. Comfortable place, nice booth. The good: steak sandwich was good - cooked just right and the onion rings were tasty & lightly fried. Clam chowder & kale salad almost made me wish I liked clam & kale - but my friend said it was delicious. Reuben was also fabulous. The tuna noodle bowl was dry - wicked dry - noodles and tuna. We asked our server if the rose was bubbly - it wasn't, but very, very dry and tasty.

06/14/2024 lunch with long time besties! Tammy, Punky & Me

I'm always looking for a new place to try out when I'm home in NH visiting friend's & family. I came here for the 1st time on 06/14/2023 for a later lunch with my friend Tammy to meet our friend Jen. We were greeted by the hostess once she was back to the stand & she had asked us if we had any food allergies before seating us, which we we were seated @ a table. Our waitress was Ashlee who was really good. I got a nice tall Truly on draft which is a favorite of mine. I went with the grilled cheese & tomato soup along with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. I was a little hestinate on the grilled cheese as it has a goat cheese mixture & I'm not a big fan of goat cheese. Ashlee said we could do light or omit it but I wanted to try it out since there was another cheese in there & thought that would cut out the sour taste that goat cheese has. I was able to taste the goat cheese, it was OK but if I got it again I would omit it. I wish the bread was more buttery, crispy. The tomato soup was my favorite, it was delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes were not good @ all, they had NO taste to them whatsoever even when I put butter & pepper on them. I brought my leftover potatoes home to my Mom & she thought the same thing. I gave my leftover tomato soup to my Mom's boyfriend who really liked it. My friend's had the steak & cheese sandwich and the crab cake sandwich on special that they both enjoyed. I tried my friend's sweet potatoes fries that were tasty. I wish they had more food options on their menu. I like how they ask you if you have any food allergies, even Ashlee had asked too. She even came back to check on our food & offered separate checks. She checked off all the boxes of a great waitress. Not sure I would come back as I didn't really find a lot of things on their menu that I was interested in. They don't even serve bread while you wait. : /

    Side Mac and cheese

I stopped in for lunch on a Monday after my chiropractor appointment next door at Seacoast Spine & SPorts (highly recommend). I'd posted in a foodie FB page asking for recommendations on mac & cheese made with cavatappi pasta, so 110 Grill was brought to my attention. The mac & cheese with pulled pork is a whopping 2300+ cal, so I ended up getting just a side to try. The sauce is nice and thick, but to me it taste more like a bechamel and not super cheesy. That's not my preference so I'm glad I got the side and not a full order of it. When I had sat down at the bar since I was dining alone, I overheard the bartender recommending the steak salad to someone else, so that's what I went with alongside my mac. I love that 110 Grill lists the caloric values on the menu and offers a gluten-free menu, it makes things a lot easier for those who are conscious of their intake. The steak salad was absolutely amazing - the blend of bacon, balsamic, and bleu cheese were delicious. My steak came out perfectly medium. I have a feeling I'll be craving this salad in the near future. They have a fun loyalty program where you can earn birthday treats and free apps, and on Mondays you earn double the points! The venue is super cozy with booth, bar, and standard table seating options.

Gluten-free fig and prosciutto flatbread with arugula and goat cheese. Delicious!

What a great experience when visiting downtown Portsmouth! The service was great, and the food was delicious! So happy to see they had an extensive gluten-free menu. Even got to enjoy gluten-free fig and prosciutto flatbread with goat cheese and arugula, which was incredible! Even my non-gluten-free husband loved it. Also had the chopped kale salad, which was fantastic and the dressing was perfect. Husband enjoyed the non-gluten-free creamy tomato soup and grilled cheese, made with goat cheese & American cheese. They did also offer a gluten-free option of this dish. Portions were large and prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

I decided to make a reservation to take advantage of their special promotion during Restaurant Week. I made a reservation through Open Table and our table was ready when we arrived. Place is small but tables are well spaced to allow for privacy. We were presented with their restaurant week menu as well as a limited regular menu for add-ons. Our order was taken in a timely manner and with a smile. I started with the coconut carrot ginger soup for my starter. I added a grilled bread basket with butter as it is not included with your meal and I like bread with my soup. The soup was a decent soup and the bread was slight charred in places. As for my main course, I went with the braised short ribs served with polenta and roasted root vegetables. The red wine demi glace was good and the root vegetables were inconsistently roasted as some were a little too hard and some mushy. Short ribs were not consistently seasoned as I got salty in some bites and well seasoned in others. I was disappointed that my short ribs were stringy as well and that was not what I expected. The dessert was an apple tart. The shell was somewhat hard and difficult to cut into with the spoon provided. Flavors were good. My overall experience was that it was just ok but nothing stood out to me as out of the ordinary or special about it. So go if you want to and maybe your experience will be better than mine.

It's a great addition, the atmosphere is lively and youthful, and it would be good for groups (just note they don't take reservations yet). The ramen was delicious, with a rich, flavorful broth. They give you a generous amount of noodles and pork belly, enough to feel satisfied without being overwhelming. While I wouldn't come here solely for the yakitori due to the price, the ramen is absolutely worth the $20. What would have made this a five-star experience are a couple small details: The cabbage salad (Kyabetsu) would benefit from being shredded more traditionally- the larger pieces were a bit bitter and less enjoyable. Also, please please PLEASEE cut the egg in half before adding it to the ramen!!! Trying to break it into bite-sized pieces with chopsticks is awkward. It's the little things that really elevate the experience. All in all, I'd highly recommend this spot on a cold winter night. Hoping you're around for a long time!

However, in the same breath I too, understand the urge to be unique myself. I didn't want to appear alike to the rest of the target demographic of this place where XTRA L SPICE is the equivalent of munching on a jalapeño with no seeds and got put through the washer. So, I showed up with 4 other friends, with one specifically white so we- as a group- wouldn't get hitman'd. I'd like to think it worked because we all had a safe walk to the place. For real though, I ordered the Lost In Koshi drink, spicy Gyoza small plate, the pork skewers, and the black garlic ramen bowl. The Koshi drink sucked. It was giving soil(ed), gardener-tasted-dirt-from-going-down-on-mother-earth realness. Mostly from how poorly the Matcha tasted with the Roku Gin and the citrus mixer together. The gin itself sat entirely on the top of the drink, so I spent a good 3 minutes thinking I was safe just sipping nonchalantly, and then WA-BAM! An expired sharpie was the only flavor profile in that moment. I'm going to pair the spicy Gyoza and pork skewers together here, mostly because there WASN'T A LOT to begin with! Six steamed dumplings with minimal meat, served with a rationed amount of chili. The same chili you can get in a massive bottle at a local Asian super-mart... is how they determined this dish was spicy. If you made it this far and wanted to know how it tasted, just yoink a Big Mac from someone at a drive through, take the patty, and power-wash it like your life depends on it. As for the pork skewers... pork skewers..? What pork skewers..? And finally, the payoff that I was begging for the entire time.. the black garlic ramen bowl. Highlighted in scarlet red on the menu, bragging about it's 8 hour slow cooked broth.. and whatever else it said. I honestly forgot. The ramen bowl was delicious, I could not get enough. The noodles were soft but firm, you could tell they were hand made. You get served an egg with a gooey yolk, giving the entire thing a sweet break from the savory-ness of the meat and broth. I finished the entire thing, broth included. All for $20.. The pork skewers, AND gyoza both costed $20, and those two together? Quite literally a ripoff. You'll get two toothpicks for skewers, and six count of dumplings. BOOO !!!! If you go here, save yourselves 40 minutes by not ordering any small plates or skewers, because you'll be waiting that time for the check.

The restaurant interior is bright and uplifting in what appears to be a completely redesigned and reimagined space that many decades ago likely had industrial uses like a factory or warehouse. Now, it's a very modern looking restaurant. The food overall was excellent. Standouts included the halibut entree and its sauce that contained a variety of interesting mushrooms and other treats. (A separate appetizer of a very large portion of those and other fantastic mushrooms was also delicious.) The steak entree was superb, too. The salad was tasty as was the cake dessert. Service was friendly and attentive. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The price tag per person before tip and drinks was under $70. Really friendly, my cohort had a lot of questions on the menu and our server answered them with patience and plain language. The food was a mix. I got the Lamb on the menu and my friend got the halibut I think (I'm not a fish eater so I can't remember if he got the halibut or the trout). Positives: the lamb was exceptional. Very well cooked, perfectly seasoned, paired REALLY nicely with my hard cider. And the polenta with it was divine, quite possibly the best creamy polenta I've ever had. Negatives: the mustard greens were not very good. Very very salty and difficult to get through. And for the prices, the portions were fairly small. Neutral: the menu itself is very small. I love visiting restaurants all over and I'm usually pretty up to date on most verbiage you see in a menu. But I was pretty rusty on this one; a fair amount of terms I was unfamiliar with. Not a good or bad things per se, just something that stood out to me. All in all, it was a very nice meal with a great atmosphere, comfortable tables, and lovely staff. Would definitely come back for a second try.

Our table was situated on the first floor so the area was small but we had enough space between table to have a private conversation. Salmon was good but I did not find that cream cheese added to the dish. It might be a matter of personal preference but I wished I started out with something else from the menu. My shrimp scampi was delicious and I would come back for this dish. Pasta and sauce were great and shrimp were a nice size. I then went with the beef stew.
