Butternut salad

Excellent meal at the Watershed Restaurant tonight, a "small" beet salad with fried chicken. So delicious, especially paired with a smart cocktail. Love the Watershed, always stellar food and excellent service!

Lobster roll meal (With fries and homemade Cole slaw) was only $26!!
Summer P.

Really loved the dark, rustic decor. I was able to eat here for the first time for free due to the owner's kindness in sharing a free meal for my birthday! The food was delicious! I got the lobster roll and Market Price at the time had it at $26 for this meal which is a STEAL! The lobster was generously portioned, the fries were crispy and tasted great! The cole slaw was homemade and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was also a light sauce in the lobster roll that complimented the flavors really well! It was delicious. The experience was really great and when I'm not still struggling for my bills, I will be returning for sure!

Chips and Onion Dip appetizer.

Great place! Food and drinks were great. We had the chips and dip for an appetizer. The fish and burger were super tasty and well cooked.

Great quality food! We love the mushroom pasta. They don't over salt, which is a huge plus! They also use a lot of local products.

I wouldn't recommend the mofongo as I've had this at 6 other places in the region and most were better. The drinks were great but way too expensive for Newmarket. $15 for a weak gin drink? The service was excellent and we loved the lounge-like atmosphere.

There's also a digital jukebox on the wall near the bar. The food menu offers a variety of starters (dips, nachos, flatbread cerviche, empanadas), soup, salads, sliders, wraps, fried chicken sandwiches, entrees (mofongo, mac & cheese, pollo asado, quesadilla), and desserts. The pricing here seems fair. They offer a happy hour menu (4pm-6pm) and late night menu (10pm-12am). At the bar, 6 draft beers, bottle/can beers, seltzers, wine, and signature mixed drinks are offered. I stopped by Mia recently for some happy hour bites. I took a seat up at the bar and ordered an ice water and the Nachos ($8 plus tax) and Big Mozzarella Sticks ($8 plus tax). The place was moderately busy here on a Friday evening. The appetizers came out in 10 minutes. The Nachos were the right size for 1-2 people, warm crispy tortilla chips loaded with melted cheddar jack sauce, peppers, onions, jalapenos, & pico de gallo. The 4 homemade thick mozzarella logs were lightly breaded & crispy outside with melted mozzarella cheese inside with a sweet marinara sauce (cold) for dipping. I managed to finish both appetizers before I requested the check which was $17.36 with tax and before tip. Overall, Mia is a great place to stop and unwind for food and drinks. The staff at the bar was quite busy during my stop here and let me enjoy my food in peace while watching sports highlights on the TV.

Wonderful Portuguese / Azorean restaurant in Newmarket. Spencer and Amanda (The chef with Azorean…read moreroots) were welcoming. Spencer made me The Golden Mash, a delicious bourbon based drink with homemade ingredients. The bread and butter were perfection, no bakery in the seacoast can compare and the salt balance was the best I've had in years. The salt cod cakes were sensational although they could have been a bit more crispy. The cavatelli tasted as if was all fresh from the garden and wasn't too filling because it was complemented with vegetables grown locally on a farm in Lee. This was the hit of the evening! The kitchen is open and spotless. The ventilation is excellent. The decor is beautiful and I would put this on the list of the top restaurants in the Seacoast Cons: the menu is limited, I hope they offer a greater variety of entrees or specials as this would draw us back more often

The bar serves up cocktails, mixed drinks, and their house wines & vermouth (also available for retail purchase). The food menu is limited due to small kitchen space, offering boards (cheeses, meats), snacks, small plates, larger plates, and desserts. The prices are moderate high. After making a reservation online for a bar seat, I stopped in Hopestill for food. The place was busy with all 4-5 tables occupied and the bar seats half filled. The bartender was very busy making drinks & taking orders and the chef was making food and serving to customers. It took a bit before I could order. For a small plate, the Salt Cod Cakes ($13 plus tax), 3 small soft cod cakes (very hot) plated with paprika aioli & pickled celeriac. I finished in a few bites. For a larger plate, the Beef Shank Cacoila ($29 plus tax) was served very hot in a bowl, which had slow braised beef shank, fregola, sweet & spicy peppers and Portuguese olive oil. This dish had good flavors and I had half of it boxed to go for later on. I passed on dessert and got the check which came out to $45.58 with tax and before tip. Overall, I enjoyed the tasty food here in a cozy and classic bar atmosphere. The service was adequate, though a bit delayed due to the limitations of the space and staffing.

What a great dinner experience at The Exeter Apothecary, downtown Exeter. Located in a beautifully…read morerestored building, this is much more than a great cocktail bar. Sitting above sister restaurant Vino e Vivo, chefs Nick and Paul bring elevated small and large plates to this casual setting. Cocktails were great, as you might expect. Head bartender Chris has a creative list of cocktails and I'm sure could mix up anything else you might desire. We tried several small and large plates. Really hard to call out a favorite as they were all good. The Parsnip soup was creamy, rich and delicious with several touches such as crisped rice and basil oil on top that really made this a standout. Beet tartare was great as well with rich delicious beet flavor and texture reminiscent of beef tartare. Don't miss the cornbread with pork belly butter! Service is warm and friendly and chef Nick ran many of the dishes to the tables and bar personally. You could see (and taste) the passion he has for food. Located right above the beautiful Vino E Vivo restaurant (see prior review), it's the new HIT spot in Exeter. Only about 20 minutes or so from Portsmouth but a fun spot for cocktails, wine and dessert. Ambiance is chill with comfy bar seats, side tables and bartenders that can shake, sitr and whip up almost any cocktail to your liking. We did share their Amaro Flip which was fabulous. I know we will be back for sure since they offer small plates and decadent desserts too. Cheers~

The place has ample table seating, booths, and seating at the full service bar. There is also patio sidewalk seating in front of the restaurant. The place still resembles its predecessor with the same colors paint scheme. The bar offers a few draft beers, wine, mixed drinks, and cocktails. The TVs (not on) are still over the bar and there is a digital jukebox too. The limited dinner menu in July 2025 offers alfredo pasta primavera, roast chicken, baby back ribs, blackened salmon and prime rib and desserts (cheesecake & chocolate cake). While the weekend breakfast buffet is active, the late night breakfast buffet was on pause until the UNH school year resumes. The pricing is moderate. I stopped by the Blue Flame for dinner recently. The place was not busy on a Wednesday evening during the summer. I was seated at a table near the front window and requested an ice water. For dinner, I ordered the Blackened Salmon ($24.99 plus tax) served with garlic/basil mashed potatoes, green bean almondine, hot rolls, and a side salad. The side garden salad came out first with dressing on the side, served in a small bowl with a mixed leafy greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots. The Blackened Salmon entree and hot dinner rolls came out next. The blackened salmon filet was a good size, served hot, tender & texture flaky, slightly spicy. The garlic/basil mashed potatoes were hot, soft and chunky. The fresh green beans with almond slivers and butter were a bit lukewarm though. The 2 dinner rolls were soft and chewy. After I finished and cleaned my plate, I was presented with the check which was $27.11 (cash)/$28.06 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, a good filling dinner on a slow evening. I will have to come back for the late night breakfast buffet and hopefully their dinner menu would have more choices.
