Great ambiance, skilled bartenders, and a beautifully stocked bar. Don't be surprised if you show up and have to wait for a seat because the place is small but intimate and cozy. Not to mention it is a big hit here in town! What a great addition to downtown Exeter. I will be returning soon as I am always in search of a tasteful and creative cocktail. Happy drinking:)

If you love Vino e Vivo, and who doesn't, you will also love their newest addition on Water St, just above their restaurant. This is a high end cocktail bar, most fancy drinks are about $15. They serve tapas style food as well. Their menu has a minimal overlap with Vino e Vivo. We ate at the restaurant and then had dessert and drinks at Apothecary. They did a great job on renovations. The drink menu is unique and they have more desserts than at their restaurant.

I wouldn't recommend the mofongo as I've had this at 6 other places in the region and most were better. The drinks were great but way too expensive for Newmarket. $15 for a weak gin drink? The service was excellent and we loved the lounge-like atmosphere.

There's also a digital jukebox on the wall near the bar. The food menu offers a variety of starters (dips, nachos, flatbread cerviche, empanadas), soup, salads, sliders, wraps, fried chicken sandwiches, entrees (mofongo, mac & cheese, pollo asado, quesadilla), and desserts. The pricing here seems fair. They offer a happy hour menu (4pm-6pm) and late night menu (10pm-12am). At the bar, 6 draft beers, bottle/can beers, seltzers, wine, and signature mixed drinks are offered. I stopped by Mia recently for some happy hour bites. I took a seat up at the bar and ordered an ice water and the Nachos ($8 plus tax) and Big Mozzarella Sticks ($8 plus tax). The place was moderately busy here on a Friday evening. The appetizers came out in 10 minutes. The Nachos were the right size for 1-2 people, warm crispy tortilla chips loaded with melted cheddar jack sauce, peppers, onions, jalapenos, & pico de gallo. The 4 homemade thick mozzarella logs were lightly breaded & crispy outside with melted mozzarella cheese inside with a sweet marinara sauce (cold) for dipping. I managed to finish both appetizers before I requested the check which was $17.36 with tax and before tip. Overall, Mia is a great place to stop and unwind for food and drinks. The staff at the bar was quite busy during my stop here and let me enjoy my food in peace while watching sports highlights on the TV.

The indoor section is very upscale and classy, but the outdoor space was beautiful and relaxing; a tiny vacation paradise! The table vibe with small modern lanterns was an ambient vibe and there was a fire pit as well. The food and the DRINKS!! My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Drinks that you could easily get drunk on because they're delicious, and the tapas style unusual Peruvian dishes were SO good. Not necessarily a place for kids or teens unless they have very open minded palates, but for adults? I'd go there every weekend. Service was perfect! My only suggestion is to turn down the music ;especially if you're going to play hip hop where they are dropping the f-bomb. We had an 83 year old lady with us. Just some constructive feedback.

Riley is the perfect hostess - she remembered that I had been there before, and she was great, catching my husband's question about df - dairy free. The place is spotless - really clean and upscale. The food is amazing, so different and tasteful that it made me want to return after my first visit, and will return in the future to try other dishes. It is a really cool place, so I hope you will try it. My only thought is that it could have more amazing different dishes on the menu although that might be difficult for the cooking staff which obviously does a wonderful job!

Cava is a very intimate dining experience with a warm comfortable indoor and outdoor seating option. It is also very practical as a stop before going to the Music Hall, an important date or like us an anniversary. Cava is unlike many of the places we have visited over the years in the food category. Every course was exceptionally prepared, thoroughly thought out and professionally executed with excellent plating.
