Upon walking in, there were a lot of boxes around... I don't know if they don't have a proper storage area or if they just got a delivery that day. To the left is the counter to order, refrigerators with drinks, desserts and a couple other items and about 4 tables for eating in. There were two tables outside. The menu consists of salads, wraps and sandwiches. My friend and I both ordered wraps; mine was turkey with cheese, lettuce and avocado, hers was cranberry walnut chicken salad. They were good, but nothing to write home about. The chicken salad was very mayo-y and we found it kind of weird that the cranberries and walnuts were just in the wrap, not actually mixed in with the chicken. Each wrap came with a pickle, and for me, that was the star of the show. It was dilly and crunchy and not too salty. The staff was super friendly. It seems like a popular spot for lunch pick up.

Lakeside Famous Roast Beef Pizza & Seafood opened up recently in a former Dunkin Donuts shop (a new…read moreDunkin Donuts is directly across the street). I stopped here recently for dinner takeout on a busy Saturday evening. This order at the counter eatery offers roast beef sandwiches, pizza (by the slice or whole pie), calzones, pasta dinners, hot & cold subs, wraps/pitas, fried seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock) dinners & rolls, king lobster rolls, salads, New England clam chowder, steak tips, kabobs, chicken fingers & wings, fried appetizers, bagged Frito Lay chips, & Coke products from the cooler. The prices here are reasonable, subs/sandwiches $3.99-$7.00, pasta with bread $4.95-$8.75, dinner plates $7.50-$9.75, and seafood dinners $9.95-$17.95. Coupon specials are also offered on the menu. The food is made to order in the open kitchen area behind the counter. The roast beef is sliced to order. The pan pizzas are baked in the belt oven. There's self serve table seating in the bright dining area. I ordered the Fish & Chips Dinner ($9.95) and a Junior Roast Beef Sandwich ($3.99) for takeout, given a receipt with number, which is called out when the order is ready. My order number was called out in about 10 minutes after ordering and I was given a small bag with my Jr Roast Beef Sandwich and "have a good night." I quickly told the person who gave me my sandwich I also ordered Fish & Chips, which needed another minute to be ready and still being packed. I grabbed some condiments on the counter, but I did have to ask for tartar sauce. The fish & chips dinner was a good portion of battered haddock (2 pieces), shoestring fries, onion rings, and cole slaw. The food was very hot and the batter coating around the haddock came off. The shoestring fries were the very typical French fries, which were deep fried golden and unsalted (thank you!) The battered onion rings were deep fried golden and crisp, coating was coming off. The tartar sauce was very thick with plenty of pickle relish in a mayo mix. The cup of cole slaw was very good and refreshing, crisp chopped cabbage in a creamy and zesty dressing. The Jr Roast Beef Sandwich was okay, which had a good amount of small thin slices rare (very red) roast beef with horseradish (my choice) on a soft toasted bun. I prefer my roast beef medium well. The food I had tasted pretty good and the fish & chips was not too greasy. I would probably return here for lunch or dinner if I'm driving through Laconia. 3.40/5.00 DELIVERY is available.

My wife and I stopped here on the way home from a long trip, to pickup two sandwichs to bring home and eat. I had a medium vegie pocket and my wife had a medium #9 pocket. No drinks or chips. The total was $24.40. Really!? My vegie pocket was totally falling apart. You could not pick it up to eat--I used a fork. My wife said that the meat in her pocket was very tough. We have not eaten at a D'Angelo's in about six years. After last evenings experience, I can be sure that we will never return. This is exactly what happens when private equity takes over a business--it turns to crap. In years past, this chain was one of our favorite for great pocket sandwiches. Not any more. If you want something really good, make it at home yourself!

We have three young kids with us and we let them order their own food because it's good practice for them. We had never been to this restaurant before so we needed a minute to figure out our orders. D'Angelo has a phenomenal employee named Shayna (Shay). She was very patient with our kids as they worked their way through their orders. Shay also kept complimenting and encouraging her fellow employees. She would say what a good job the cooks in the back were doing. When there were no customers in line, she'd come out to the dining area and wipe tables and pick up trash. Shay made our first ever visit to this restaurant a very enjoyable one that we will tell others about. She is a great face for the business and is so kind to customers and employees alike. If Shay isn't a manager, she should be. Thank you for an awesome experience. I almost forgot to mention that the food was delicious as well. The order was prepared perfectly and our kids loved it.

This first time maybe over a year ago, the guy who is also a entertainer and piano player was the BEST- we laughed and he helped me figure out my order that took more over 20 minutes to narrow down. Today -when the guy who made my sandwich called my name to pick it up, he was so nice and said thank you so much I really hope you enjoy it and let me know if I needed anything - (again, it took over 20 minutes to decide) I just found out , the guys name is Nick because as he was walking passed my table, he just asked how everything came out - That's some really great service - Also everything I have ever ordered is so fresh and tasty with so many diffrent flavors. (I LOVE THAT) - so I'm not a big review person but just wanted the managers to know they have great staff and they are doing something right to keep good staff. We were there for the promise of a fantastic breakfast. The menu is manageable, lots of choices~all pitstop themed~ but not so many that it was a chore to choose. I decided on a 3 egg swiss and mushroom omelette. It was explained that toast was extra, which isn't the norm, at least in my experience. But I dove in and ordered Rye. My Son ordered 2eggs over easy, the potatoes (not the deep fried version), bacon, ham, sausage and 2 pancakes. This breakfast seemed to include a toast option, for those who are keeping score. The food was spectacular. Very well done, simply, and with no frills save for a killer playlist that included Bittersweet Symphony. You don't often find yourself sitting at a counter, eating breakfast with special toast and hear The Verve. Worth a mention. The service was crisp, thorough and we did get a lovely smile and thank you as we checked out. But at the end of it all, the food is, or should be the star. And it was.

The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was that Christmas smacked us in the face with the best smelling Christmas Tree candle , burning in a super cute entryway. I could hardly wait to get inside to see what else this place had in store. First, there was a fireplace and a couch and a table. In the rest of the dining area, we're all high tops. Not so high that a barely over 5 foot person such as myself couldn't sit comfortably. Our waitstaff (there were two) and were great about offering menu suggestions when I shared flavor profiles I might be looking for and they were attentive and so pleasant. They had super cute Christmas decorations, and were putting up more while we were there. The vibe is super warm and welcoming, and for a short while you feel like you stepped back in time. The tiramisu martini was delicious, as was the blood orange martini. I had the cauliflower with juju sauce at the recommendation of the waitress, and it was honestly the best cauliflower I've ever had! My husband enjoyed his macaroni and cheese with buffalo and bleu as well. The owner/chef, Leslie, came and chatted with us for a little bit before we were on our way. We learned that in the summer they hold concerts, and they have a golf course. There is a distillery on site as well. Everything about this place was excellent, and we are already planning a day date to go back and try more menu items!
