    Lavender Haze
    Casey L.

I crave the buffalo chicken nachos. They are scrumptious! We also tried the lasagna rolls and they were great to split since there were two rolls. I tried the lavender haze drink off the spring menu, & I highly recommended if you like gin drinks. I'm not a fan of super sweet drinks, so this was perfect for me. As usual the bartenders/staff were busy busy but still attentive & friendly.

    Chicken tender dinner

Our 1st time here and everything was delicious. Our waitress was a doll. She suggested the cold brew flight.. I was pleasantly surprised to find it alcoholic. Chicken was crispy yet juicy and the fries were on point.

Lunch with one of my favorites yesterday was delightful!! Great time to catch up at the Flannel Tavern in Chichester!! The apple cider sangria is highly recommended delicious!!! Got the garlic chicken nachos and my friend had the tenders and I got a seafood trio - not a bad meal at all! Great little spot if you don't know it's there, you'd miss it! Great staff, the ladies were super nice and working hard with the small staff they had! Will definitely go back and enjoy another meal, had a burger last time I was here and it was great too! Have you been here??

    Appetizer chicken tenders
    Jaz S.

One of my coworkers recommended I check out this place so I decided to take a quick peek on the menu and since I love chicken tenders and I've heard good things about them here I decided to give it a try. I loved that I got a lot of chicken tenders in the appetizer plate. I was given two sauces one I believe was honey garlic and I forgot the other. I loved the honey garlic, definitely give that one a try. The staff was super friendly in person and on the phone. They had plenty of parking space, and the environment was very cozy and inviting. I would definitely recommend this place if you want some good chicken tenders, but check out their menu in case something else catches your eye.

Creamarosa Pasta (added grilled chicken) served with garlic bread
    Erika F.

I love a good creamy pasta, and their Creamarosa Pasta bowl hits the spot! It doesn't come with a protein, so I added grilled chicken and that made it just perfect. The huge bowl was nearly overflowing with angel hair pasta, a generous portion of chicken, tomatoes, broccoli, smothered in a beautiful creamy pink sauce and topped with parmesan cheese. The side of garlic bread could have used a little more toastiness but it was otherwise perfect for mopping up that extra sauce. The dish also comes with a side salad starter which was a nice touch. Now that I know the Flannel Tavern is there, I'll have to stop more frequently on my trips to and from Wolfeboro!

For entrees (which includes a salad and focaccia bread) we ordered the herb encrusted prime rib and the chicken saltimbocca. Both were extremely gererous portions. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the mushroom cream sauce was heavenly! The mashed potatoes and fresh veggies went perfectly with this dish. The prime rib was surprisly tough and chewey, but once we notified the staff, they did everything to try to make it right. We finished off with a limocello digestive. We were well taken care of and enjoyed the ambiance of the space and the vibes at the bar. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless. Small parking lot or on street parking. We don't have much, but now we have a country store AND a new bar to hangout at. It's literally maybe a 3-minute drive for us from our house. The parking is limited, but we were told it's okay to park across the street at the church. We haven't had to do that, but there are nights when the spaces are full. Because of COVID & other things, it seemed to take FOREVER for them to get their permits & to be open. This was originally just a country store, but they did a great job converting it into a "half" restaurant with a very large, U-shaped bar. Lots of wood & your typical bar flair. What I love is that they left the "Meat Dept" sign hanging. I actually miss stopping in to get some of the freshest, best priced chicken & steak, but oh well. The menu isn't very expansive, with lots of subs/sandwiches. The appetizers are nothing special, but greasy & good if that's what you're after. The pizza is good, pretty typical. They offer beer & wine for spirits. Some beer on tap & then others in bottles or cans. They also have some spiked seltzers in cans available. The staff is very laid back & the owners are usually ALWAYS there. They work a lot! There's a sliding barn door that goes into what's left of the store that they kept which is primarily fridges with beer, some shelves with bread & even bloody mary mix (random!) & other stuff that I haven't looked at. They have an ATM that works when it wants to.

Finally, now that the 'newness' wore off, 4 of us were able to grab a table with ease. There was live music & they post on their Facebook page regularly with updates on food & cocktail specials. We decided on appetizers: nachos w/ chicken, mozzarella sticks & potato skins. The nachos were really good - I liked the chips they used. The mozzarella sticks were a bit underwhelming, similar to frozen ones I've purchased at BJs. The potato skins tasted like they were made in-house. ABOVE & BEYOND MOMENT: Our server, Jackie, was friendly & patient with our requests. I had asked if they could make a spicy margarita. She asked the bartender & they were out of their jalapeno tequila so they asked if it was okay to muddle fresh jalapenos instead. I said I trusted the bartender to do what they thought best. When my margarita was delivered, the Jackie asked if I wouldn't mind tasting it to make sure it wasn't too spicy. I think the fact they custom made the drink & ensured it was to my liking was great. I see mixed reviews about the prices. I honestly found that appetizers averaging about $15 was on the high side. We'd like to go back for dinner, maybe when there isn't live music. The prices seem fair and they offer happy hour 3-5pm. I stopped by Big Dog Pub for dinner recently during the week. I was greeted and told I could sit at any open table I'd like. The seating at the bar was busy, so I sat at an open metal table next to the bar. The server brought over a menu to look over. I decided on the Fish & Chips special ($16 plus tax) and the Sweet Sausage Sautee ($15 plus tax). Both entrees came out together in 17 minutes. The portions were good on both. The fish & chips were very hot, crispy coating on the outside, tartar sauce on the side. The hand cut fries were firm and tasty. The shredded creamy cole slaw was sweet & tangy. The sautee dish had a mix of al dente cavatappi pasta tossed in a light cream tomato sauce with peppers, onions, small sausage bits and shaved parmesan cheese. I managed to finish both entrees and got the check with Toast QR code which was $33.64 with tax and before tip. The internet is very weak in this part of Deerfield, so had to pay the normal way. Overall, I enjoyed a great filling meal at Big Dog Pub. I will have to return here for breakfast!
