Who would have thought for a busy night before 4pm on a Saturday in the summer? Shouldn't be shocked with the popularity of Patrick's. The staff seemed frantic but they were working very promptly to make sure customers could be seated. I was told that our party of 2 would be about 15-20 mins. They took my phone # to add to the waitlist. The wait was more like 6 or 7 mins. We were seated in the bar area at the booths. The bar is somewhat loud but it was still average. It's nice that they can accommodate parties of 2 so easily. There were several large groups, primarily families so it's certainly kid-friendly. They serve up some of the BEST fries! I suggest the O'Crabby Patty. It is on the heavy side with caramelized onions but wow is it packed with flavor. I will be getting that again for sure! read more

If you are coming for burgers and fries, you will love it. If you opt for the more expensive seafood, you'll like it but probably not love it. The menu has changed a lot from what is online. There isn't a plant based or mushroom burger anymore. The prices have all gone up between 10-30%. The good? Live music on Thursday night with Dave Clark. He plays a wide range of music. Show him some love! Our server was pretty great. Friendly, answered all our questions, and gave good recommendations. Took our daughter out for her birthday and though I told our hostess and server, they didn't offer us anything special (like a free dessert or something). That was a little disappointing, though she didn't mind because she was experiencing some neck pain and just wanted a drink and meal then go home to rest. But speaking of drinks, the bar seemed slow though we were one of the few tables there at 4:30pm or so. I would give them 4 stars, but all of us loved our food! Even picky 9 year olds! Ha! That almost never happens! Now, one did forget her apple juice and cried because we were going to go back and get it (as she realized when we got back to the hostess station), but daughter said they cleared the table as soon as we all got up. One might thought our server would have said something, but no. As well, they couldn't find our loyalty rewards number when we were getting our checks. Overall, the 5 stars are for the chefs/cooks. My whisky lemonade was very weak, and my husband's Jamison pour seemed short too. It will be a while we return. read more

Gilford, New Hampshire. We were in the area to go to Gunstock ski resort, staying at Fireside Inn and the gal at the front desk told us to come here for dinner, which was a great recommendation. It was open mic night, so different people were coming up every half hour or so, some with guitars, and it was such a fun Irish pub atmosphere. The FOOD was delicious and the server was excellent. She asked if we wanted the sweet potato fries a little crunchier and I said "of course" because who likes soggy sweet potato fries. They have gluten free buns so I got one of their specialty burgers and devoured the entire thing. The lobster crab cakes were so good. The one weird thing that happened: we had just bought wine bottles at the store next door to take back to the hotel, but when we came in, they asked to hold it at the front until we finished our meal. We went based on reviews and weren't let down. My chicken sandwich had actual pickle slices on it. I'm used to soggy pickle chips , but not purely sliced. Kudos! Then, they wowed us with not French fries, but peeled potato slices. Again, never had such authentic cooking at an Irish pub. The service was attentive and friendly. The pub was not too loud and it was at dinnertime. The drink menu had great choices if you like mixed drinks. Of course there were the IPA beers and such too! We shall return! read more

Cozy straight forward restaurant. I had the grain/sweet potato bowl and a passion fruit margarita-which was good but would have been better with a tahin rim. The grain bowl was pretty small and served in a comically large bowl. Next time I think I'll stick with the pub food because the mozzarella sticks at a nearby table looked insanely delicious. We've always loved Patrick's Pub & Eatery -- the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere have always been great. That's why this review is so disappointing to write. This was a takeout order, but dine-in or takeout, I would expect the same quality. My husband ordered the steak tips with fried chicken (about $34). He received five tiny steak tips -- definitely not $34 worth of food. I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and while what was there tasted great, there was barely any meat inside. I actually had to open it up and spread what little there was just to make it cover the bread. We both ordered mac and cheese for our sides, but even those were uneven -- one half cheesy, the other plain noodles. The Brussels sprouts were good, but overall, we spent $76 on two meals and left feeling disappointed. To be fair, this isn't typical for Patrick's -- we've had plenty of excellent meals here before. But for whatever reason, this order just wasn't up to par. Hopefully it was just an off night, because we really do love this place and want to keep supporting them. Update: Very impressed with management who reached out with in hours of my review to make it right without question. As stated previously we have always enjoyed Patrick's and are even more confident this was just a one off. So, Patrick's is usually my "Go To" for dinner when I'm up in the Gilford/Laconia area (Which is at least once a year.). Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because they have downsized the menu quite a bit. They used to serve a great scampi, they used to bring out bread that had this fantastic garlic chive butter on the side, and their prime rib was among one of the best I ever had! Unfortunately these items are no more, and it is kind of sad. Otherwise, they still got pretty decent wings, the Lobster Crab Cakes are amazing, and the Loaded Mashed is to die! I really do miss some of the old menu items though. read more

SO much fun! I stole my son away for a spontaneous weekend tubing and skiing at Gunstock. I knew that it would be brilliant but Patrick's made a great start to the weekend even better. The restaurant is cozy in feel, full of happy energy, welcoming staff (and excellent service). I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap with the Pub Fries cooked extra crispy. Usually I'm not a fan but these fries are cut thinly while still being broad. My son had the Fish n' Chips. He tore through the fish and there wasn't much talking so I think that was a success too. And to make it even better, the Celtics game was on several TVs and there was a music Bingo game going on (with REALLY great questions and an excellent game host)! Good vibe, decent food! We stopped in last night and then ordered take out again tonight. The food came fast both times and is generally pretty good. The food quality was a bit inconsistent- had the salmon two days in a row and the quality was a bit different, still good but inconsistent cook. The Brussels sprouts weren't great, undercooked. I'd recommend the butternut squash as a side! The seafood chowder was delicious, and the tipsy leprechaun is highly recommended. One of the best experiences I had at a restaurant from start to finish in a long time. We decided to stop by before attending a concert, and wanted to eat locally. Started off with an onion soup which was good. Cheese galore! I'm not even a french onion soup fan but this one was tasty. For my entree, I ordered the drunken chicken & chips. Once again, I took a gamble because I'm not the biggest bbq sauce fan. But I saw it was made with Irish Whiskey and it just sounded good. Holy moly...when I tell you this was one of the best bbq sauces I've ever had, I mean that wholeheartedly. It's sweet, almost like a teriyaki sauce. The chicken tenders were juicy and had the perfect crisp and crunch. Fries were good and coleslaw was good. But those tenders, jeez I wish I lived closer just to experience those one more time. We ended with the house made Irish sticky toffee pudding and omg so good. Soft, fluffy, just delicious really. Never had anything like it before and I loved it. Also shoutout to our waiter who was so attentive. I think he came to check on us almost 5 times which never happens...he was so kind and made sure we had what we needed. I am 9 generations New Hampshirite so I'm not a carpet bagger nice people horrible beer list and the haddock was filled with lobster stuffing and I had the squash and coleslaw. We passed this place so many times since moving here, and I had high hopes, but I can't give it 4 stars. If I could split stars, I'd give it 3.5. The good: super cold beer, great selection, friendly and efficient service. Clean bathrooms. Clean restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Good location. The not so good: chicken wings were barely what I would call cooked, not raw but they needed more cooking and drying out. Seafood chowder was just so-so in a land of great chowders. Burger wasn't bad but it didn't knock my socks off. Fries were odd and not in a good way, like halfway between chips and fries, just bland, and they got cold quickly because they were so thin (imagine a chip cut thin on one side then increasingly thick across its surface so the opposite side has more "meat" but not enough to hold any heat). Mac & cheese with pork was not bad but not super compelling as I had hoped. I would go back for a beer when I'm in this area, and I hope to give some other menu options a try when I do, but this time was a little short of the mark for me. read more

Ate here for the first time yesterday before attending a concert at the nearby BankNH Pavilion. We were impressed by the friendly, attentive staff from the moment we walked in the door. The dining area appeared spotless and felt very inviting and our server was fantastic! We shared an assortment of appetizers instead of individual entrees. We went with the Irish pork nachos, bavarian pretzels and dippin' chicken with barbecue sauce. While the Irish pork nachos were my favorite of the three dishes, everything was delicious! The cheese sauce that came with the pretzels was some of the best I've ever had and I also really enjoyed the barbecue sauce we got with the dippin' chicken. The chicken was tender and crispy, and the fresh fried potato chips with the Irish pork nachos were my favorite aspect of all three dishes. We were looking for a local place to eat and saw the parking lot full. Good sign! Menu had some good choices, comfort Irish meals. So glad I came! Can't say enough good things! Food is great, service was even better! From sandwiches, to hot meals, to desert, can't disappoint. I ordered the bullseye chicken sandwich, with mash potatoes I chose for a side. Very tasty, mashed potatoes were hot. Most places they are lukewarm to kind of cold. My daughter ordered the drunken chicken tenders. Yes, love the names in the menu! Wonderful food, I went twice in two days. The First time, we had a wonderful waiter who was fun and kind and who gave me extra cherries in my Sherley Temple. The second time, we had an excellent waiter who we talked to for a full ten minutes and she was so kind that when a different waiter messed up our order by spilling a sauce over our food, she took off the whole meal. I had a wonderful experience with everything, the drinks were fantastic as well. My Auntie's Fried chicken sandwich was also fantastic I completely reccomend it.
