Great place to stop for a drink. Everyone was very friendly, it was a little hectic during " shift change " We eventually got drinks and were offered food menus. I decided to do a burger, unfortunately the bar area was picking up again and no follow up about taking my order. Came in for lunch with my wife on Thursday 8/31/2023 we seated ourselves. The place was cozy, clean and comfortable. We were greeted by our server Savannah who was pleasant and attentive. We started with a beer and order of fried pickles with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce, both were good. For a meal I ordered the Rueben with fries and it came with a small side of cole slaw. The Rueben was excellent, the fries were solid as was the cole slaw, but the Rueben definitely stood out. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with came with house fried potato chips and cole slaw. She said it certainly wasn't bad, but average. Sat at the bar and had the cheesesteak. It was good, some of the beef pieces were quite thick but the flavor was solid. The fries were not my favorite but I'd be willing to try the housemade chips. Had a bite of the crispy chicken sandwich and I could have had the whole thing. There's plenty of parking behind the building and the service is grand. read more

We were in town for the weekend and stumbled upon this frog-themed tavern in a nice little village. It ended up being a fun local spot with funny and kind staff. The Frog Rock Tavern and the employee (we do have her name but will not include it in this post at her expense) are discriminatory and should be held accountable for their actions. My friend and his partner attempted to eat there and were not treated fairly. She stared at them the moment they walked in the door. She approached them aggressively and asked for their IDs. She then walked away without telling them why. She came back, accused them of being underage. She lied and said they didn't scan. *They are both valid active IDs that scan and are 27 years old*. She then said "I need 'you' people to leave this establishment, your no longer allowed to be here". My friends partner has eaten at this restaurant many times with his family. He has been served here before with no problems. However, when he brought his partner in to enjoy it and they were forced to leave. In New Hampshire, there are public accommodation non discriminatory laws that prevent this exact action that took place at the Frog Rock Tavern. It is 2024, being discriminatory on the basis of someone's sexual orientation is against the law. Unfortunately, this stuff still takes place. This waitress may have thought it wasn't a big deal. But actions do have consequences.I feel for any other person who has been treated unfairly by her. We will be filing a discrimination claim against the Frog Rock Tavern and this employee with an intake investigator with the state of New Hampshire. read more

BEST WAITRESSES ~ SO FRIENDLY & ACCOMMODATING! The waitresses on this particular Sunday were the gold-standard for friendly and attentive service. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was a fair-sized crowd. The 2 waitresses teamed up to make sure we were not wanted for anything. Oh, the food and drinks were good, too. Got French onion soup without the cheese, no problem. Husband went back that night to watch the Patriots game. When I asked when they closed, the waitress responded, "When the last customer leaves." I have been to this restaurant many times. But I thought I would comment since it is under new management this year (summer 2023). I had not been here for a while and I am so happy that I made a return visit. The new menu is superb with a lot of interest . My daughter and I both had the fish tacos. The fish was grouper one of our favorites and you get two tacos stuffed with plenty of fish. Also some lettuce and a Polynesian tasting sauce which we both thought was outstanding. The decor is still simple largely unchanged. Very welcoming and i would say excellent food at a very attractive price. I highly recommend this outstanding hole-in-the-wall ! Food was fantastic! The restaurant had a welcoming and cozy feel. Went there with our 2.5 y.o. And it was a pleasant experience. The service was quick and the waitress was attentive and very sweet. Just changed hands and opened in Dec 2022. A very well known entity owns and runs the tavern now and they have significantly upgraded the food and service. We enjoyed watching some NFL and had excellent food - wings, tenders, quesadillas, and a chicken sandwich. This food is prepared to order and definitely worth the trip. Been here a couple times now and the people and food couldn't be better. Last night we had some delicious chicken wings to start, a few draughts and a couple of entrees all for less than $50 the meatloaf I had was fantastic along with delicious garlic mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli. Anytime a pub offers up meals like this, I'm a fan. The people are friendly, they have a great variety of beers and the bartender was even shining bottles as she was working. I like a clean bar. This place is everything you want in your neighborhood. Good place to catch a game as well, lots of pics and memorabilia on the walls as well. Today was a beautiful day so I expected everywhere to be packed. We were told to pick any open table so we did. We noticed that there seemed to be only one gentleman working as he was running from table to bar to table again. We put our drinks in and once he returned he took our order. I have never felt so rushed in my entire life. I couldn't even get the words out quick enough before he ran away again. It was obvious that they were very understaffed, as it was only him and another women working. I was very uncomfortable trying to order my food or ask for anything else for that matter. As people were coming in to find a table they were welcomed with "you can sit once she's cleaned the table. Like I said when she's done you can sit." I would have just walked out if I was those people it was so rude. The gentleman was running around so quickly that at one point a newly sat tables, table stopped him from running in to the group. When he greeted the party he greeted them with "were understaffed so I'm going to need your drink orders now." I'm not even sure if everyone was able to finish what they were saying. The female waitress was turning away people left and right. "I'm not moving chairs we are a full house." I understand it is Covid times, but people are much more understanding when you don't act like that. read more

I wish I could say better things about their food. It's typical Sysco (restaurant food vendor) food. All premade and just has to be heated up. It's not even good pub food because nothing seems home made with pride. It's too bad; as this area has grown, rrestaurants seem to either go way upscale and pricey or go lousy and just count on making money off the tourists. Step it up Frog Rock. Came here twice in three days because we had to come back. They have a different soup everyday and it's always crazy good. The food is great quality bar food. The entire bar and seating areas are all very clean. We'll absolutely be coming here every time we're on vacation in the area. read more

Words cannot express how amazing the food is here. The O'weegie burger was off the charts!!! One of the best burgers my husband and I have ever tried! The smoke flavor from the bacon shines brightly and pairs well with the mushrooms and BBQ sauce. It is amazing. We also tried the turkey Reuben which was fantastic!! We liked this place. The atmosphere was nice. Bar had about 15 seats. Seemed like there was a lot of locals around at the bar during happy hour. We would definitely come back for drinks and apps. The menu was appealing. Had a little bit of everything for someone. Burgers, sandwiches, apps. The food was good. Typical bar food but seemed most of it was homemade and not frozen. The beer and pretzel cheese bites were yummy and also the spinach and artichoke dip ! We also got the swordfish kabob which was good too. Could have been a bit more fish. The rice served with it was kinda cheesy and more wet than I prefer. Would have been better with just a classic rice pilaf. Overall we liked it and would be back. read more

Me and group of friends were trying to find somewhere to eat Saturday night, It was pretty late every local spot was slammed we ended up finding this hole in the wall. Our waitress was extremely friendly she made many great recommendations off the food and drink Menu everyone had a great meal. This is now one of our favorite spots. Unique and fun bar with very good food. The menu had lots of interesting variety. Everything was very good. In particular the fried pickles were different from anywhere else we have had them, and were excellent. Staff was friendly and social. The atmosphere is fun. Thank goodness we found this place! Stopped in at the corner chinese restaurant who turned us away at 8:00 - said their dining room was closed. Oh well. But FRT? Whoa - excellent food and service. I had the steak tips and lemme tell you they were by far the best tips I've ever had. Daughter had the delicious mac and cheese. Son had the chicken strips. Both great choices. Nachos were so good and we never finish the nachos but we ate every crumb! Our server was AMAZING! I think his name was Justin. Poor kid - it was just him that night and he was busting a$$ for his patrons. Excellent service. Great guy. We sat outside on the enclosed porch. We stopped by for Bloody Mary's on Saturday during the hockey tournament. The young lady bartender mixed each BM with pure tomato juice and spices one at a time, no Mrs T' s here, and delicious. Then we decided to split sandwiches, we sat at the bar our (2) sandwiches, fries and coleslaw came out on (4) separate plates. Who does that? Nice touch.
