Came in for lunch with my wife on Thursday 8/31/2023 we seated ourselves. The place was cozy, clean and comfortable. We were greeted by our server Savannah who was pleasant and attentive. We started with a beer and order of fried pickles with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce, both were good. For a meal I ordered the Rueben with fries and it came with a small side of cole slaw. The Rueben was excellent, the fries were solid as was the cole slaw, but the Rueben definitely stood out. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich with came with house fried potato chips and cole slaw. She said it certainly wasn't bad, but average. Cool little local place, friendly staff worth giving a try.

Sat at the bar and had the cheesesteak. It was good, some of the beef pieces were quite thick but the flavor was solid. The fries were not my favorite but I'd be willing to try the housemade chips. Had a bite of the crispy chicken sandwich and I could have had the whole thing. There's plenty of parking behind the building and the service is grand.

We were in town for the weekend and stumbled upon this frog-themed tavern in a nice little village. It ended up being a fun local spot with funny and kind staff. The food was pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of my drink, but I still had a great time overall. Check out this place if you're in the area.

BEST WAITRESSES ~ SO FRIENDLY & ACCOMMODATING! The waitresses on this particular Sunday were the gold-standard for friendly and attentive service. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and there was a fair-sized crowd. The 2 waitresses teamed up to make sure we were not wanted for anything. Oh, the food and drinks were good, too. Got French onion soup without the cheese, no problem. Husband went back that night to watch the Patriots game. When I asked when they closed, the waitress responded, "When the last customer leaves." Love it.

My go to place in Meredith. Super friendly staff. Cozy place- welcoming to all. Food is good- mostly pub fare. Good selection of beer as well.

Also, the couple who are the owners, I believe John and Meghan are nice people, and every time I go there, one of them always steps in and asks how your meal was. Only "real" restauranteurs seem to do that, anymore. They care about their own place! They care about their customers! I think her name was Meghan ( not 100% sure if that is her correct name), who was so nice to us as she came by the table to ask how everything was. Every time I go there or pass by there, the lot is always pretty full. That says it all.

A look at the menu and you get the sense they are trying to appeal to a very broad variety of tastes. Also makes you wonder if they can they pull off everything? For the most part. Ordered the Ruby Red Tini which was pretty good though it would have been better with fresh jalapeño. The brine from pickled jalapeño took away from the grapefruit. I didn't hate it. Italian wedding soup was good if from a can. French onion soup was good. Dinner rolls (not complementary) were good. Wedge salad was on point. Prime rib was cooked to order, nice thick cut, drowning in au jus which flooded the plate. I didn't care for the canned beets which were just ok, the loaded baked potato was overcooked, fries were good. Service was very good. Worth a visit at least once when in Moultonborough.

What really made the visit for me was the service. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was very friendly, helpful with making suggestions for a picky grandchild (she was very happy with her meal, thanks to the server!) and she was very personable, making us feel welcome and not rushed in the least. The only negative I can report, and the reason for 4 stars instead of five was the amount of room at the table; for two adults and three children it was a bit tight but our server did her best with clearing unused items so that we were able to use the little space we did have. Thank you for being a part of our successful "date night" with the grandchildren. :)

There are a few things that I need to address: first, I was there on St. Patrick's Day with my…read moremom. We were seated at a table and the waitress brought us our first drink. After that, we were told that we had to go to the bar to order any additional drinks, after waiting over 1/2 hour for our waitress to come back to our table. We ordered the corned beef dinner, only to get a stew-like dinner that had so much fat in it. So much for $19 spent on each of the two dinners. I liked going to this establishment because it's so close to my house, but why should my bill be almost $100 for two frozen food dinners and margaritas that are not even made correctly? Sour mix is NOT an ingredient in margaritas. The final straw was tonight when I took my mom in for dinner and drinks. When I asked Erica for my tab, she brought over my check and told me that because I was paying with a card, I had to go to the bar to use the machine, even though the device is designed to be portable (taken to a table for the patron to pay the bill). The food is way overpriced for frozen stuff that I could make at home, the drinks are not fresh and made properly, and the guest should not have to go to the bar to settle the bill. What really kills me is that there is a photo of John Taffer from Bar Rescue hanging on the wall with the owner of this establishment, but quite obviously, the "owner" just doesn't care about the quality of products being delivered to his guests, nor guest hospitality. The booth seats are in bad repair and quite uncomfortable. You have definitely lost me as a customer in your establishment.

We ended up sitting at the bar and got to sit right away. The bartender who waited on us was great. Very chatty and social and made sure we had everything we needed. My boyfriend drank beers on tap and I had my classic Tito's and pineapple. It was only $10 for my liquor drink which was a great price for the size. It was made very well. All the food we had was fantastic. It took a little while to come out but was so worth the wait. I got a Cesar salad and truffle Parmesan fries. My boyfriend got the spicy pepperoni pizza which was delicious. It had pepperoni, red pepper flakes, hot honey, and ricotta. Mouthwatering. My Cesar salad was perfect and the fries were to die for. I love a good truffle parm combo. Everything about our experience was positive except for the bartender constantly talking to her friends who came to sit at the bar which caused our level of service to decrease, which is the only reason I took away a star. She seemed frazzled and I did have to repeat my orders a few times. Otherwise, it was a great night of food and drinks. The bathrooms are not gender neutral but are handicap accessible, as is the restaurant. I would definitely come back.
