We happened to come across this place while driving around the area and, since we always enjoy finding a new brewery, decided to stop in and check it out. I'm glad we did. Sometimes the unplanned stops end up being the most enjoyable part of a day. The outdoor area was a big part of what made the visit enjoyable. There's a really nice outdoor bar with picnic tables, lawn chairs and games, so you can grab a beer and actually settle in for a while. When we were there, they had a band playing live music and the whole atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming. It was one of those afternoons where people were clearly there to hang out, have a few drinks, listen to some music and enjoy themselves. They had a decent selection of beers, and what we tried was pretty good. Nothing I had was quite at the level where I was immediately thinking about buying a four-pack to take home, but everything was enjoyable and well worth trying. For me, the atmosphere was almost as important as the beer itself, and this place definitely delivered on that side. The staff were also very welcoming. Our bartender outside was particularly friendly and talkative, and it made the whole experience feel much more personal. I always appreciate that at a brewery. You don't necessarily need a lengthy conversation every time you order a beer, but having someone behind the bar who genuinely seems happy to talk with customers makes a difference. They also serve food, although we didn't order anything during our visit, so I can't really give an opinion on it. We did hear good things from other people there, though, and there seemed to be plenty of folks enjoying the food along with their drinks. We really enjoyed stumbling across this place and would definitely come back, especially with some friends. I could easily see spending a summer afternoon here with a few beers, some food, live music and a group of people. It has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stick around rather than just have one drink and leave. A very good accidental find, and one we'll be happy to revisit. read more

The staff is incredibly friendly and riffed with us for almost a half hour talking about breweries and beer and the history of their brewery. It has a super cute elevated barn feel as the brewery is literally a barn. They have a Biergarten and cornhole, the only downside is you cannot do a flight and go to The Biergarten. read more

Important update edit: we got their "puppy ice cream" for our dog and he has been having explosive diarrhea for 3 days. This has never happened to him before. They have hurt my dog. The bad : Service is terrible and nonexistent, you have to order at the bar and pick up your own food. Of course, they ask for a 25% tip anyway. They upsold a beer right before closing, and then told us we have clear off. With the full beer they just happily to sold us. Also, food prices are absolutely disgusting. See the photo with the menu - $13 for a pretzel. Just absolute cash grabbing nonsense. The good: the outdoor space is quite nice. Large lawn, lots of options between picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. Some little trails in a wooded area (for disc golf, but still little paths to walk). Love the place. Ample, huge barn style building with awesome beers, a huge Biergarten for summer evenings, and a truly welcoming vibe. And they also have live music every so often. We came here after attending the massive Gunstock Ski sale. We now have an après ski place coming back home from skiing at Gunstock. Really awesome ambiance and even better service. Just superb service with knowledgeable and friendly bar tenders who explained the brews and the intricate flavors. We tried both their IPAs, the Palmer's Towm IPA and their Lake Cruiser. Both superb. Then a Pumpkin ale that was awesome and a Sour that made us pucker (for the good). Then we thought about food.... Their flat bread pizza, pepperoni and hot honey, is the only thing that beats the Ragged Mountain flatbreads.... And then we had their Bavarian Pretzels which were a wonderful compliment... This would have been a 3-star review if not for an extra unpleasant surprise: their doggy ice cream made my dog feel terrible! In the half a day since our visit, he's been lethargic and had his worst diarrhea ever. Everything else he recently ate was normal dog food and treats, and he's never reacted so badly to a product made for dogs. If any managers or employees are reading this, PLEASE start warning dog owners that some dogs react very badly to the doggy ice cream. Aside from that, our visit was quite nice until the end when: 1. We were encouraged to order more beer at last call, less than half an hour before closing, but then told we couldn't linger for even a few minutes after the official closing time to wrap up with our beer. Being rushed to finish beer just sucks. In the future, they should clarify that to patrons before taking last call orders! Other NH breweries we frequent are not so strict about this, so it's not something we expect by default. 2. As other reviews mention, their default tipping options range from 18% to 25% despite there being no service outside of the bartenders. Everyone walks to pick up their own food orders, even if seated in the main building! It's wild to ask for such a high tip on a food bill without any actual food service. To highlight the good things, their beers are excellent and the food did hit the spot. If I was rating those things individually, I'd give the beer a 5 and the food a 4. Menu prices are a bit high but that's true about many places in popular lakes region towns. The outdoor beer garden is also a quite nice place to relax. It's a shame that the end of our visit was so frustrating due to the way they operate. I would be happy to enjoy their beer at home (especially the scotch and farmhouse ales) but don't plan to go back any time soon. You can find plenty of other great breweries in NH which have better business operations. read more

I loved my experience at Twin Barns! I stopped in for a quick beer one Sunday afternoon and we were greeted by a very helpful bartender. Instead of greeting my indecision with annoyance she happily helped me pick the beer I would like the best. The bartender took her time and allowed me to sample a few options including a wonderfully smooth Cask pour of a maple beer I wanted. The ambiance is adorable. The barn is wide open with high ceilings and plenty of long picnic tables for seating. The outdoor space also looked quite nice. I can't wait to try this brewery again in the summer! read more

Stopped here for dinner while visiting Meredith for a few days. It looked like a relaxed place to Get a bite to eat and try some beers. The barns are open all the to the roof which is an Impressive look. The tables are family style tables so if it is full you will join a table where you can find a seat. There are no servers, so you use your phone to see the menu and then order at the bar. It was a rather slow night when we were there, and the people at the bar didn't seem very friendly, or particularly helpful, but the burger I ordered was very good. I also liked the beers and cider I tried. I would certainly visit again for a casual bite to eat when in the area again. read more

We always like trying breweries when visiting new places and it was nice to find this place in Meredith. Beer is good and we got one flight with the cruiser, palmers, suds, and hat trick. First time at their new Northern location; have been to their Meredith location a couple of times. The biggest difference is the North Woodstock location has a different vibe (soft lighting/wood paneling) and little food- chips,salsa and pretzels only (hopefully, that will change). Tonight there was music. My suggestion is that some food, ie sliders, pizza etc should be offered. There were eight beer options to choose from ; I had the pumpkin beer which was light and tasty. This has the potential to be a nice addition to the Linwood area but with competition from nearby Pemi Public house, Merland's and the Woodstock Station, a limited food option is highly recommended. This place is amazing! It is the perfect place to go on a nice day to enjoy the weather with some beers. They have a big lawn space with tons of games! There are some corn hole boards, Jenga, a huge connect 5 board, and even disk golf! There are tons of big picnic tables for groups. There are big tents so you can choose to sit in the sun or the shade. The beers are great! I got a sour blackberry one and it was delicious. The food is also great. We stopped in here yesterday for lunch; it was pretty busy! There is seating outside, and a lot of seating inside as well. It's seat yourself, and then you order from the bar (drinks and food). We shared a table with another couple, and the inside is nice with the feel of a modernized barn with beams and a lot of character. The food from the truck you order inside, and they give you a buzzer that goes off when it's ready, and you go outside to pick up the order. The steak tacos were incredibly good - it was Korean BBQ steak with guacamole, sesame and ginger slaw, pickled radishes and bang bang aioli. Not only was the meat deliciously seasoned, but the bang bang sauce was quite tasty with the right amount of spice. The beers were good, we especially enjoyed the vanilla coffee blonde. FRIENDLIEST OWNERS/GOOD BEER/CORN HOLE/LIVE MUSIC We were driving by one day and stopped by. They were closed but one of the owners saw me peeking in the window and invited us in. He was working on the books at the bar while his partner was doing some repairs up on a ladder. Showed us around, told us their vision story that started back in Boston and how they created their dream, heard how they survived and thrived through the covid limitations, and he kindly offered us a tasting of their different brews. Loved this guy!!!!! We've been back several times and have brought guests. Always a pleasure. We've played games and corn hole, listened to live music, enjoyed their food, and imbibed their brews. We had an awesome afternoon at Twin Barns Brewing and would absolutely return. What I loved: -The outdoor space with live music was perfect for having just a casual afternoon with friends, sipping beers. We enjoyed the musicians they had - just the right type of laid-back vibe. -Service was friendly - when they were out of one of the beers I wanted outside, the server offered to run inside and get one for me once things slowed down (she did, and even brought it right out to our table, even though they don't really offer table service!) -Board games! We didn't play, but upon quick glance, the selection looked solid. -Dog friendly (note: I don't have a dog, but there was a high concentration of very cute dogs hanging out outside, if you consider that a positive) -Lots of cornhole boards - it was easy to play without a wait What was just OK: -The beers were decent, but I didn't absolutely love everything I tried. Nothing was bad, but there wasn't anything I would specifically go out of my way to order again. I personally would have liked to see more sours (they were out of the one they did have on the menu). -Some of the beers were unavailable in the outside area (but available inside) or vice-versa. Also, I won't categorize this as good or bad, but just a heads-up that if you order inside, you can't bring your drink out to the beer garden. We ordered inside (assuming we could carry out to where they had the live music), before realizing that we'd need to consume our first round indoors. It was fine, just a heads-up for anyone who may be wanting to do the same that you need to actually order in the beer garden if that's where you want to drink (since there is no way to get to the outdoor space without crossing the parking lot). Food and beer was tasty but the service style of this restaurant is a little non-traditional. There wasn't any table service so you order your food and drinks at the bar and basically run your own food to your table. We don't really mind this type of set up but when you go back to the bar to pay the system defaults to 18/20/25 percent gratuity, even on the retail stuff we purchased. There was also an upcharge/add on to one of our meals we didn't ask for. You can hit "custom" tip and we did leave 10% which I think at a place where they only punch your order in is reasonable. We even bused our own table. We will return but probably just have beers out in their nice looking beer garden and maybe hit their food truck for a taco or two. read more

Very cool brew house. My friend and I went for lunch this past Saturday. They had a great beer selection and a decent menu. They also have local musicians play and we were lucky enough to catch Uncle Tom. Loved the live music. The food was just as good as the beer. We had a burger and the grilled chicken sandwich both of which came with kettle chips and a pickle spear. It was yummy. We also tried several beers which we enjoyed. I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife for a late lunch and some drinks. Two barns brewing unsurprisingly consists of two barns, one red and one grey. The inside here is pretty large with a bar where you place your drink and food orders on one side and then seating throughout the rest. They also have a nice shaded outdoor seating area where we sat and string lights for the lighting at night. If you head towards the bathroom you can see some of their brewing equipment downstairs and then they also had board games to play. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a fight here. The beers are individually priced at the taster level but a fight consists of 4 of them. I decided to go with the Lake Cruiser DIPA, Mcgurgabs breakfast stout, red hill raspberry sour and finally the Palmers Town NEIPA. I started out by trying the NEIPA which was pretty light to start off with before a good dose of hops came in for the finish. Second was the Lake cruiser DIPA and you got some citrus right from the start before a strong dose of hops kicked in for the finish. The third beer that I tried was the Breakfast Stout which was a good representation of a stout. It was smooth up front with those dark malty flavors on the finish, all without being too heavy. Last but not least was the Raspberry sour which was exactly as advertised. It had a big burst of raspberries at the start before a bit of sour on the finish. I actually appreciated how much raspberry flavor they got into this beer. Out of the bunch I think that the Lake Cruiser was my favorite with the raspberry coming in second. Then for lunch I ended up ordering the buffalo melt from the oven roasted sandwiches section. The menu described it as grilled chicken tossed in house made buffalo sauce, and topped with tomato, lettuce and house-made bleu cheese dressing. It ended up being a decent sandwich with my favorite part of it being the focaccia bread that it was on which was nice and crusty. Their house made hot sauce reminded me of a Louisiana hot sauce and then the blue cheese tasted nice as well. Finally the chicken was a bit on the rubbery side but other than that tasted fine. The bottom line for me is that I would come back here again in the future. While I thought the food was a little expensive for what you got, I did enjoy the beers. read more

Excellent stop - not crowded on a March Sunday afternoon but I bet it's busy during the peak season. Good menu with a variety of options. Kids menu and high chairs too- we got kids mac n cheese $7 and it was homemade. My daughter loved it. Food is counter service right now - you order at the bar, they prep drinks, and then food is available via buzzer. My husband and I split the pesto chicken sandwich and Buffalo chicken dip. They have a nice spacious clean bathroom and you can see the brewing equipment down below. They have lots of selection for food, apps, beers and other drinks.
