There's a really nice outdoor bar with picnic tables, lawn chairs and games, so you can grab a beer and actually settle in for a while. When we were there, they had a band playing live music and the whole atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming. It was one of those afternoons where people were clearly there to hang out, have a few drinks, listen to some music and enjoy themselves. They had a decent selection of beers, and what we tried was pretty good. Nothing I had was quite at the level where I was immediately thinking about buying a four-pack to take home, but everything was enjoyable and well worth trying. For me, the atmosphere was almost as important as the beer itself, and this place definitely delivered on that side. The staff were also very welcoming. Our bartender outside was particularly friendly and talkative, and it made the whole experience feel much more personal. I always appreciate that at a brewery. You don't necessarily need a lengthy conversation every time you order a beer, but having someone behind the bar who genuinely seems happy to talk with customers makes a difference. They also serve food, although we didn't order anything during our visit, so I can't really give an opinion on it. We did hear good things from other people there, though, and there seemed to be plenty of folks enjoying the food along with their drinks. We really enjoyed stumbling across this place and would definitely come back, especially with some friends. I could easily see spending a summer afternoon here with a few beers, some food, live music and a group of people. The wings were crispy and delicious. The best part is you are able to order them by the wing. You don't need to order 6 or 10. You can order one of each if you want. They call it Buck-A-Wing. We ordered a few different flavors. My favorite was the sweet Thai chili. Our main meal was the Philly cheese steak with onion rings which we split. The steak was chopped very small. It allowed the cheese to mix in with it and the small peppers. Lots of flavor and very delicious. It is a little small, so I would not suggest splitting it with anyone like I did. It had a strange taste of pickle juice or something. I bet if you ordered that at Blue Bistro it would be good but not sure I'd spend double to find out. The burgers are meh, frozen and not that juicy, nachos suck, grill salmon on salad, dry and not worth it. Why can't we make real food since we know the money is being made on the drinks. Prices were fair, and I'd probably go back, but it's not really my type of Mexican food. I prefer fresher Tex-Mex flavors, and this place leans more toward heavy cheese and sauces.

The family sought to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to the New Hampshire Lakes Region. The menu features of variety of Mexican dishes such as fajitas, burritos, tacos, chimichangas, quesadillas, enchiladas, as well as their signature crafted margaritas. A second location, dubbed Vida II, opened in Tilton in October 2021, but it was closed by late 2022. A third location, dubbed Vida at the Lake, opened in Meredith May 2022. The family also owns and operates Ensō Japanese Steakhouse in Meredith (opened June 2024) and Raíces Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Manchester (opened February 2025). My extended family and I visited the original Vida this past summer while we were visiting Funspot down the road. After a few hours at the arcade, we were getting hungry for lunch and looked on Yelp to see if there was a good restaurant nearby. Vida came highly recommended and we're glad that we decided to stop in. Most of us started off with a round of delicious margaritas. My wife had the "Fresca Strawberry Margarita" (1800 Silver tequila, triple sec, Gran Gala, fresh lime and fresh house strawberry purée) and I had the "Spicy Margarita" (Ghost Tequila, triple sec, Gran Gala, fresh lime and agave). We then ordered some freshly made guacamole for the table to share. For entrees, I had the "Taco Dinner" (three chorizo tacos, served w/ rice, beans, pico de gallo, fresh limes, grilled onions, jalapeño and salsa on the side), my wife had the "Shrimp Fajitas" (large grilled shrimp with onions, peppers and tomato, served on a sizzling skillet w/ rice, beans and salad), our older son had the "Kids Burrito & Taco", our younger son had the "Kids Corn Dog" (w/ fries). These dishes were super authentic! All of the ingredients tasted so fresh and flavorful. We're very happy to have discovered Vida Mexican Restaurant and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine in the New Hampshire Lakes Region!
