We had flights and tasted all of their ciders. Ironically our mutual favorite was a hopped cider. It was literally the only one we liked. At least for now, it seems they should stick to wine. The man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great experience learning about the ciders and speaking with him, just wish they tasted better. They have a little seating area outside that was comfortable and nice to relax at.

All of our guest commented on how beautiful the winery itself was, and from the moment they arrived the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and elegant--exactly what we hoped for as we kicked off our wedding weekend. The team at Seven Birches was outstanding. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. We opted for a wine and cider tasting, and the staff was very friendly and made sure the entire process was easy and seamless, allowing us to truly enjoy the night with our loved ones. The wine and cider were both amazing, and after the tasting most guests stayed to have another glass. In addition to our welcome party, Mark and the team at Seven Birches also helped us create our own red blend and white blend for the wedding, complete with personalized labels and everything. Not only did this help us create our own special touch for the wedding, but also it was a great opportunity for my husband and I to learn more about the wine making process and all the intricacies of what goes into it. We had a great time and our wine turned out delicious! Whether you are considering visiting Seven Birches Winery just for fun or for any event, we cannot recommend it highly enough. The team helped us create the perfect start to our celebration and a memory we will cherish forever.

The salmon wasn't trimmed of the skin nor of that hard, white vein. The pieces weren't even cut all the way through and it wasn't completely thawed. Whether or not they actually use sushi quality fish.... doubtful. They either just don't care about quality or are clueless to handling raw fish. Stay away from this place. There's a reason they're cheaper than Poke Spot! I'm hoping I don't get sick after needing to spit out 3or 4 bites due to something hard inside the piece of fish that's left a metallic taste in my mouth. Absolutely GROSS!

The prices seem fair. There are a couple of tables inside this cozy space in front of the counter. I stopped by Pake BonBon very recently for takeout. I placed an online order through Toast for a build your own poke bowl (starting at $13.99 plus tax/$15.18 with tax) with choice of base, choice of proteins(s), choice of sauce and choices of 20 toppings. I got a poke bowl with brown rice, salmon, poke bonbon classic (spicy mayo & eel sauce), carrots, pickled ginger, scallion, wasabi peas, cucumber, edamame, radish, tomatoes, fresh jalapenos, fresh pineapple, corn, red cabbage, furikake and sweet onion. My order was ready for pickup within 10 minutes. I enjoyed my bowl outside in the courtyard in front of the building. The poke bowl was a decent sized portion which was very fresh and had a good mix of fresh ingredients and flavors, mild spicy and tangy flavors. Overall, Poke BonBon is dependable option for fresh poke bowls in Downtown Manchester.

I also found out it holds 1 Michelin Key, which is their rating system for hotels/lodging parallel to their famous restaurant ratings. We arrived on Monday (Indigenous Peoples Day) so most people were wrapping up their long weekend. While it was still fairly busy, we never felt it impacted our experience. I was even able to work on a job application! The hotel itself is gorgeous, with many spots to capture mesmerizing photos of nature & people. The rooms are more traditional & country house/cottage style which also fits the aesthetic many young women want on a trip to arguably one of the best New England towns. The hotel is its own landmark/tourist destination as you'll constantly see groups lining up at the front to get a glimpse & small photoshoot session of the iconic facade!

It seems small and quaint but is actually a large property and it is immaculately kept and super clean. Loved the on-site restaurants/bars and that you could take a drink to go to walk the grounds or play a game of billiards. Also they had amazing vegetarian options on the menu. The list of activities on the welcome packet they give you is extensive and we didn't get to try everything but I absolutely recommend the spa! It is a pricey place but I do feel that it reflects the value. Everyone was extremely welcoming and wanted to make our stay special. Would love to visit again!

OHANA MARKET KITTERY…read more Ohana Market in Kittery is a small food market which is a branch of the Ohana Kitchen in Portsmouth and Exeter. This store has a small kitchen space with a limited menu, offering grab and go foods such as a selection of premade foods such as poke bowls, sushi burritos, daily bento box, daily crudo, musabi, snacks, bottled & can drinks. Any poke bowl can be modified with added ingredients on hand in the store. I stopped in at Ohana Market recently in the afternoon. The selection in the open cooler case was limited including only the regular poke bowl size ($15.49 plus tax), which didn't seem too full. I could've gotten more ingredients added, but I did pick up a couple musabis including spam and tofu with sushi rice, $4 plus tax each. Those ready to eat snacks with provided teriyaki dipping sauces were very good and enough to hold me over for dinner. Within the same hour, I placed an online order for a Large Build Your Own (BYO) Poke Bowl ($17.49 plus tax) with 3 proteins and unlimited toppings from the Ohana Kitchen in Portsmouth, since I was heading in that direction. My order was on the counter ready to go, 20 minutes later. I got the poke bowl loaded with sushi rice, ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, green onion, sweet onion, mint, cilantro, edamame, chili relish, carrot, cucumber, mango, pickled ginger, pickled onion, fresh pineapple, radish, roasted corn, wasabi, garlic crisps, shallot crisps, sesame, wonton crisps, and 2 sauces on the side, ohana sauce and teriyaki sauce. This poke bowl had a great mix of fresh flavors and it was filling to eat. I may consider going back to Ohana Market in Kittery if they offer a BYO option for the poke bowl with my choice of proteins, ingredients, and sauces. But due to the small kitchen, it is a great place to stop for grab & go bowls and more, if you're in a rush.

However, in the last few months I've seen some faltering quality- Poorly cooked rice, fish that was a bit too fishy or containing ligaments/tissue that should have been trimmed, avocado that's not quite ripe enough to eat. There's nothing better than a good poke bowl but there's also nothing worse than a bad one. The food here isn't cheap- price should reflect consistent quality. I've been a total of probably ten times... after the last two being bad experiences I haven't been back. I'm guessing it has to do with staff. When the shop first opened one gentleman was working the restaurant and it was evident that he was invested in the and quality of the food. They have since hired additional employees and the quality of the food has definitely suffered in his absence.
