Been vacationing in the Weir's Beach for a couple days and all we have heard about is Bar Salida. It's down the road from our air bnb and the ambiance caught our eye as we walked the surrounding area. Turns out, they're fairly new and a welcomed addition to an area that's primarily filled with biker bars. It's all outdoor seating and the vibes are on point. Gorgeous wood tables, larger wrap-around booths with built in fire pits, bar seating, tea lights, and more. They're also completely dog friendly so feel free to bring your furry friends! The prices are a little more "city" in the middle of the lake region which is the only downfall, but you get what you pay for and everything was incredible! We started with margaritas which were fresh and flavorful. At $15, it's the most I've paid for a margarita really anywhere besides NYC, but it was very good. You could taste (and see) the real lime juice - no mix here. We then decided to order a little bit of everything: from the infamous house fries, to tacos, and fried chicken sliders. Everything was AMAZING. Each item was fresh and you could taste all the flavors in each dish! I can't get over how incredible everything was! Staff was so sweet and friendly. We came on a Monday evening in the summer and got a table easily. It's first come first served but there are plenty of options and an area to just hang out while you wait for a table to open. This is the best food I've ever had in Weirs Beach!! We went for a drink and appetizer but stayed for more! The french fries came with a jalapeño ranch dressing which wasn't too spicy. Thr huge portion eas hot and crispy. We also ordered the street corn onion dip - it was light, with a hint of scallion I think not onion - and plenty of corn. It was absolutely delicious. It was so good we ordered the chicken sliders which were perfection. The chicken was crispier than any chicken I've ever had, juicy with the right toppings on a soft buttery roll. Highly recommend!! Great atmosphere. Delicious drinks and food. Finally a nice non-biker bar to go have a drink and snack in Laconia! Hopefully this will be the start of a renaissance in Weirs beach. The outdoor seating was perfect. It felt more like an upscale Boston bar than anything you would find in the lakes region. There were Nice bar tops and really cool looking fire tables that you could sit at as well. Service at the bar was top notch. We tried the fish tacos (excellent). Chicken sliders (also excellent). Oysters (solid as well). Tuna tartare (not our favorite but not bad). The french fries though. Holy cow were they amazing. If you just go for drinks get these to go with your drinks. Excellent food and drinks! Wish they were open year around. All the food is very fresh and delicious with a Mexican flair. Shrimp tacos are the best! If you like oysters, you won't find anything fresher around with super high quality. Bartenders and servers do an outstanding job explaining how things are prepared. Food is good. I had the cauliflower tacos so probably not the best selection. Atmosphere is really nice and the margaritas are excellent. Service was really good. Our experience at Bar Salida was extraordinarily good. It has the culinary chops of a great, slightly-upscale restaurant with a really laidback and natural vibe. The waitstaff were delightful. Rarely do you find a staff (who had just returned from a grueling schedule during Bike Week) so welcoming. They were attentive and kind as well as being extremely accommodating. And the food -- the food! We still talk about how fresh and inventive the bar plates were. Everything from tuna tartare to blackened shrimp tacos to a fried clam roll. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something a little upscale and some great food. read more

The tacos were good. The bartender was terrible. If you're going to suggest a tequila you should disclose that its $45 a shot next time.

I have been coming to Weirs Beach for over 20 years now and Bar Salida is by far the best thing that has happened to the area. Great food, great drinks, great service and overall a great vibe. Looking forward to coming back here regularly. read more

Great addition to the weirs! We have been a couple of times. Everyone has loved the food. Friendly staff. Great drinks! My only reason for 4 not 5 stars is the lack of a vegetarian options. They have shrimp tacos ( a huge hit with my husband) chicken sliders, burgers etc They have a delicious corn dip and avocado dip - which I appreciate but wish they had a veggie burger or taco on the menu. Seems like an oversight not to have at least something for us veggies :) Also super clean bathrooms and great music! read more

Fantastic drinks, amazing oysters and appetizers. Our party of eight shared the guacamole, street corn and fries to start as well as a few oysters each. The oysters are so fresh and what they are and where they are from change a few times a week we were informed. That was all we really had on our first trip to BarSalida. Everything was so good we came back a second time a few days later. We were a party of four this time. We tried the chicken sliders, the clam roll, the Cesar salad, a burger and tuna app. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. Service, food, atmosphere all fantastic. The entire vibe you get at this place is great, almost like a bar/restaurant you'd find somewhere tropical near a beach. I would give this place a 5 star rating but it is a bit pricy and your bill will start to stack up fast if you don't pay attention. We finally tried this place on a beautiful Wednesday night. We got here around 6:30 and the place was not busy at all. It is designed nicely, and you forget that you're next to train tracks on Weirs Beach. There are lots of bar stools and high tops, and several tables for 4 and then larger booth seating with really cool fire "pits" in the middle. We played some cards and had a drink before ordering. I had a blueberry margarita, which was a bit too sour and my husband had a craft IPA ($11 each!!). We then ordered the calamari, which was perfect! Nicely cooked with a great tomato ratatouille type sauce. We followed that up with the shrimp tacos for me and the fried chicken sandwiches for my husband and a side of fries. It was way too much food for me. The blackened shrimp tacos were amazing. There were 3 of them and all the flavors melded so well together. I wasn't so sure about how good they would be based on the description but they were fantastic. I could only eat two and my husband ate the 3rd. The handcut fries were lightly sprinkled with cotija cheese and they were so good (and I ate too many!). The fried chicken sliders didn't look too exciting but my husband said they were good. Our server, Ally, was great and all of the staff chip in to help each table. She did say that it wasn't busy, which happens when it's a beautiful day and people stay out on their boats longer. We felt lucky to have got in and out without a big crowd, as I could see this place could be a favorite. The one drawback was $11 for a pint of beer is ridiculous. I know Weirs Beach is a tourist trap, but we don't pay those prices anywhere. I am sure they will have continued success, as the area "needs" a place like this, but due to the prices, we won't be rushing back. read more

Stephen and Juan were both super accommodating on top of great drinks, food, and conversation. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

According to their website and employees , they do not accept reservations or call ahead and that it is first come first serve. Until you get there with your party and sit at a table. Then the waitress will come over and tell you that all these tables are reserved and we would have to leave by 6:30. Then to get the good old "oh well" from the employees. It's bad enough to watch this place over serve their marina pals and watch them get in their cars out back and drive away. Its unfortunate to have to write a review like this, for being a neighbor but the way myself and family were treated was unexceptable. read more
