The place is actually not so "fancy" which red painted walls with guitars and black flooring (front section) & hardwood flooring (upper back section) with table seating, high top tables, and seating up at the bar which has flatscreen TVs, but minimal stocked shelves (at the time of visit) at the bar. I stopped by for takeout on a rainy summer night and was able to easily find on-street pay parking near the front of this business, which is harder to find on a nice weather weekend day. The place was empty compared to its other bar next door, which was very busy. I decided to order takeout and ordered The Fancy ($16) handheld served with fries. My order was boxed and ready to go in 10 minutes. The thick sandwich had tender pieces of slow roasted pulled pork topped with a smoky sweet BBQ sauce on a toasted brioche bun, served with thick golden crinkle fries and a cup of creamy slaw. This takeout meal was pretty solid good and filling. I would definitely stop by again during my next trip to the Weirs.

At the time there were only a total of 8 people in the saloon including my husband and I so turning the volume down a tad would've been perfect. We sat at the bar and asked what they had on tap? Unfortunately not a whole lot. We asked if they had a drink menu and they didn't. The food menu was pretty scarce as well. There's a pool table in the back to kill time while you wait for your food. The service was great. There was one girl wrong was hostess, bartender, and waitress in one. I'll assume they are short staffed, she did an amazing job wearing all three hats. Most importantly, the food was great. They have specials which we didn't order. We started with the loaded saloon fries. Shredded cheese, bacon, and ranch. The cheese was melted in between the fries so all the fries were covered. Not like some places that throw it on top. The wings were crispy and delicious. The best part is you are able to order them by the wing. You don't need to order 6 or 10. You can order one of each if you want. They call it Buck-A-Wing. We ordered a few different flavors. My favorite was the sweet Thai chili. Our main meal was the Philly cheese steak with onion rings which we split. The steak was chopped very small. It allowed the cheese to mix in with it and the small peppers. Lots of flavor and very delicious. It is a little small, so I would not suggest splitting it with anyone like I did. Overall a great experience. I wish there were more places like this where I live.

I stopped by The Clubhouse recently for food and to get out of the very hot and humid weather. The place was air conditioned and I sat myself at a high top table in the front section where there were several people having food and drinks. The front room has a flatscreen TV on the wall and a digital jukebox. The bar offers 6 draft beers, can beers & seltzers, wine, mixed drinks and cocktails. The food menu offers appetizers, wings, wraps, sandwiches, subs, pizza, salads, and Italian dinners (lasagna rolls, chicken parm, ravioli) with garlic bread. The prices are moderate. I got an ice water and ordered the Lasagna Rolls ($17 plus tax). My entree was served in about 12 minutes after ordering. The Lasagna was a good portion served in a long oval casserole dish with 2 chewy buttery garlic bread pieces. The lasagna had rolls of firm noodles with cheeses and ground sausage and plenty of thick red tomato sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. However, the temperature of the lasagna was all over the place with the center very cold and the edges along the dish hot, but it was mostly lukewarm. I ate about 30 percent of the lasagna and boxed the rest to reheat very hot when I got home. The check was $18.45 (cash)/$19.00 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, the service here was courteous and efficient. The restaurant and bar was clean. The lasagna was hearty, but the food temperature should be hotter, especially serving food with ground meat and soft cheeses.

So we get to Weirs Beach, let the dog out for a walk, and now we need a place for lunch under cover that accepts pets outside. Then we found Tower Hill and they lived happy ever after.... Our server greeted us with a smile as she was just finishing selling several ice cream concoctions on the outside window. We sat on picnic tables ideally suited for an afternoon lunch. The dog water dish was readily available. The local brew on draft selection was superb. Besides a local IPA, we started with the light and tender chicken pieces. Not mystery meat or pink slime, but deliciously breaded chicken breast pieces each one more flavorful than the next. My dog also got a few.... Then the lobster rolls on slider buns made the day, coupled with superb French Fries. The lobster rolls were delicious. We left full, the dog left smiling and we were all happy. At least in the off-season, we'll be back. A good lunch experience.

Turns out, they're fairly new and a welcomed addition to an area that's primarily filled with biker bars. It's all outdoor seating and the vibes are on point. Gorgeous wood tables, larger wrap-around booths with built in fire pits, bar seating, tea lights, and more. They're also completely dog friendly so feel free to bring your furry friends! The prices are a little more "city" in the middle of the lake region which is the only downfall, but you get what you pay for and everything was incredible! We started with margaritas which were fresh and flavorful. At $15, it's the most I've paid for a margarita really anywhere besides NYC, but it was very good. You could taste (and see) the real lime juice - no mix here. We then decided to order a little bit of everything: from the infamous house fries, to tacos, and fried chicken sliders. Everything was AMAZING. Each item was fresh and you could taste all the flavors in each dish! I can't get over how incredible everything was! Staff was so sweet and friendly. We came on a Monday evening in the summer and got a table easily. It's first come first served but there are plenty of options and an area to just hang out while you wait for a table to open. The bartender was more than friendly and we talked about all of the different beers they had on the menu. He offered samples of anything I wanted and so I opted for a flight. The beer was great, the atmosphere was amazing and the bartender fantastic. I had the "BReuben" for lunch and it was incredible! A bratwurst wrapped in pizza dough with sauerkraut and 1000 island dressing. SO GOOD! Fast forward to a week later. I brought the grandson there and we shared te Witches Warts (cheese curds) and they were awesome. The staff, as before, was more than friendly! I cannot recommend this place enough. Nothing I had was quite at the level where I was immediately thinking about buying a four-pack to take home, but everything was enjoyable and well worth trying. For me, the atmosphere was almost as important as the beer itself, and this place definitely delivered on that side. The staff were also very welcoming. Our bartender outside was particularly friendly and talkative, and it made the whole experience feel much more personal. I always appreciate that at a brewery. You don't necessarily need a lengthy conversation every time you order a beer, but having someone behind the bar who genuinely seems happy to talk with customers makes a difference. They also serve food, although we didn't order anything during our visit, so I can't really give an opinion on it. We did hear good things from other people there, though, and there seemed to be plenty of folks enjoying the food along with their drinks. We really enjoyed stumbling across this place and would definitely come back, especially with some friends. I could easily see spending a summer afternoon here with a few beers, some food, live music and a group of people. The black beans were not good at all, though--they tasted off, almost sour, so I left them. For dessert, I got the churros to go. The menu doesn't say they're stuffed, but they were--filled with caramel and served with chocolate chip ice cream, hot fudge, and whipped cream. They were excellent. Prices were fair, and I'd probably go back, but it's not really my type of Mexican food. I prefer fresher Tex-Mex flavors, and this place leans more toward heavy cheese and sauces.
