The top level where we ate has a huge bar, with two or three bartenders working it, and many of the tables are arranged like patio benches and each table has a small fire pit on it. They have umbrellas also. We went at the end of the season in October, so it was not busy like earlier in the season. Food is typical bar food. Not the cheapest. (Burgers about $ 14). Decent with good fries. We also had Ahi tuna appetizer for about $ 12. The plate is small but quality was very good. We were surprised. They also serve pizzas which we did not order. It's far enough from the boardwalk that one can see without being seen. The staff is very friendly, both the servers and bartenders. We had a great time. On a good day, this is an excellent spot to spend the afternoon.

So, apparently, the cook failed to show up for work. They were late to open and when they did we were told the menu was very limited. Fair enough, what can we order we asked. Burgers, dogs and pizza were off the list, (how these are difficult items is beyond me) fish sandwich and chicken was on the list. We ordered chicken sandwich, haddock sandwich and chicken fingers. 30 minutes later food finally showed, fish was raw inside, chicken raw inside, fries were cold. Best guess, they had not thawed previously frozen food before cooking. I used to work in the restaurant business long ago and that is all that I can think would explain this as the appearance would have led me to believe it was cooked. So, if this is the case, the food is not "made to order" as it says on their page and since they were missing their cook, no one knew to thaw the food ahead of time (best guess). One other thing, the beer I ordered was listed on menu as a 16oz beer for $8, instead I received a 12oz can, this was while waiting for food. Very dissapointing, they should have shut down kitchen under these circumstances. It's nice that they can accommodate parties of 2 so easily. There were several large groups, primarily families so it's certainly kid-friendly. They serve up some of the BEST fries! The first thing we noticed when we walked in the door was that Christmas smacked us in the face with the best smelling Christmas Tree candle , burning in a super cute entryway. I could hardly wait to get inside to see what else this place had in store. First, there was a fireplace and a couch and a table. In the rest of the dining area, we're all high tops. Not so high that a barely over 5 foot person such as myself couldn't sit comfortably. Our waitstaff (there were two) and were great about offering menu suggestions when I shared flavor profiles I might be looking for and they were attentive and so pleasant. They had super cute Christmas decorations, and were putting up more while we were there. The vibe is super warm and welcoming, and for a short while you feel like you stepped back in time. The tiramisu martini was delicious, as was the blood orange martini. I had the cauliflower with juju sauce at the recommendation of the waitress, and it was honestly the best cauliflower I've ever had! My husband enjoyed his macaroni and cheese with buffalo and bleu as well. The owner/chef, Leslie, came and chatted with us for a little bit before we were on our way. We learned that in the summer they hold concerts, and they have a golf course. There is a distillery on site as well. Everything about this place was excellent, and we are already planning a day date to go back and try more menu items!

The hash browns were dripping with oil, so I onky had a couple bites of them. Sad! I drank about half my lemonade and asked for a To Go cup, but that never showed up. We were lucky to arrive without a reservation when we did because it quickly filled up with customers. The place is somewhat small and has an open kitchen concept. Outdoor seating is also available when weather permits. Please note that due to its size, they have only one unisex bathroom available. We started with the Gouda Tot Clam Dip. The picture posted on their website shows six potato tots, yet our serving came with four. It was pleasant and tasty. For my main course, I ordered the Peach Glazed Pork. The dish had a nice presentation. I found the pork to be drier than I would have expected, but it was still edible. I guess I had higher expectations. Despite a few minor disappointments, this is a charming local restaurant that is worth a visit, especially if you're in the area.
