Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.

It's a counter-order, seat yourself place, and the food is brought out to your table. The atmosphere was comfortable enough - with a variety of different BBQ sauces at each table. We ordered the steak & cheese eggrolls which were tasty, if a little small and lack luster. Then I ordered the loaded macaroni & cheese with pulled pork, while my husband ordered the 3 meat (brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage/2 side combo. My meal was OK - the macaroni and cheese was done well and the pulled pork was all that it should be. I did enjoy the side of cornbread. However, my husband did not care for his meal. The brisket looked and tasted like a pot roast. No char/smoke flavor. The pulled pork was dry (maybe so it could hold up to being drowned in a sauce?). The onion rings were typical "from-frozen" and the coleslaw had zero flavor. He was not a fan of the maple butter for the cornbread. Oh, and the prices were steep: $32 for my husband's meal and $21 for mine. After being back in the Northeast from South Carolina, we're still on the hunt for decent BBQ.

Maple butter that came with the hush puppies were very good, wasn't too sweet. My chicken looked like it was boiled then thrown in the smoker for an hour or so. Ample parking in the lot next door and across the street. It took a little longer than I anticipated for the order to come out, but that's OK. We were enjoying the vibe. It makes all the 'best of'…read morelists and news articles ... not because it is totally amazing pizza, but because it's always consistent and very good. The staff is also well-trained and friendly. I made a mistake in ordering the other day, I figured might help you. Normally I get a plain cheese, or pepperoni pizza. Simple and perfect every time. Great cheese to sauce ratio ... cheese that extends all the way to the crust ... and the sauce is not that overly sugary cheap crap a lot of Greek-style pizza joints use. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken the other day, which was a huge (and expensive) disappointment. None of us liked it ... it was dry, bland and salty at the same time ... and just not what we would expect from Tilton House of Pizza. There were 3 guys eating a large pizza (which is hearty and large!) and there was leftover, which nobody wanted to take. (unheard of!) The problem seems to be that this pizza is dried out chicken tenders (in fairness, you get a LOT of dried out chicken tenders) which are brushed with buffalo sauce. The pizza itself has no tomato sauce on it!! No blue cheese dressing, as far as we could tell. It was simply cheese, cut up chicken tenders and crust. Zero taste, except for the salt. They give you an average cup of RANCH??? dressing for dipping, which indicates that they know there is an issue with this pizza. I refuse to give anything lower than 4 stars to this place ... because the cheese and pepperoni, I know are amazing. However, I'd say that it was wasted calories to eat this pizza as the Buffalo Chicken recipe needs reworking. The tomato sauce is essential ... or at least tomato sauce mixed with buffalo sauce, or even blue cheese. I will still go 20 - 30 minutes out of my way to get Tilton House of Pizza every time ... just will never get this buffalo chicken pizza again. Make sure you order ahead of time ... like WAAAAY ahead of time. It took 1.5 hours on a Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. from order until pickup. That's crazy! Even at 4 p.m. on a Thursday, the wait was 40 minutes on a phone in order.

A dear friend just bought a condo near Newfound Lake and needed to attend the HOA meeting, so we decided to join with them afterwards and they searched the food offerings and came up with Kathleen's Irish Pub. Arriving at the place we noticed a sizable parking area although I am sure it's on overflow at St. Patty's Day. For a first timer, the premises used to be a hardware store so there are several doors and although the one that seems to be the main door, is not. The entrance is towards the front and there is a ramp to the main door Entering the Pub, there is an ample bar area and the food area is towards the left, facing Main Street. We were warmly greeted by a wonderful hostess whose demeanor and customer care was the best I've seen in a long time. We began the afternoon festivities with, of course, Guinness, certainly slow poured, which is good for you. My other half had their Harviestoun Old Engine Oil, creamy and tasty. The next course we had was their Giant Pretzel. Really giant. Baby Huey giant. It served as the appetizer for four of us. We got it with both, homemade beer cheese dipping sauce and the Irish Whiskey Dipping sauce. Both sauces are delicious, really so. Then they brought out the main courses; I had their delicious fish and chips. Perhaps one of the best, tastiest, crispy pieces of fish I've ever had. My spouse ordered the Galway Girl, a true half pound prime Black Angus burger topped by Swiss cheese and fried cheddar curds, poblano dressing and chips. The mix of the fried curds and meat and sauce was amazingly tasty. Another friend had the Boxty, basically a potato pancake filled with a delicious chicken stew. The quality of the food was amazing. Really so. But that wasn't enough, we ordered both, their Bread Pudding, and their Sticky Toffee Pudding. The Bread Pudding was amazing, but the Sticky Pudding was unequaled. I am glad we shared the dessert among four people... At the end of the lunch, the owner came in and engaged us in conversation. Affable, full of energy, friendly, and she knows the path of excellence where she's taking the place. We learned a second pub is planned for Franklin. If it is anywhere near the quality of Kathleen's, Franklin will have one superb eatery. Absolutely recommended.

Service is usually very good, especially when the owners are present. Everyone is friendly. We'll be back again. Very soon.
