I love this place. I discovered it years ago, but then I wasn't spending as much time in Laconia and forgot about it. I drove by a few weeks ago and I rediscovered, and I think it has gotten even better. I have been there 6 times in the last 3 weeks! I love the rub they use on the chicken, but now I think my favorite is the slow braised pork... but it is really had to decide. You order at the counter and you can eat in or take out. They have a limited beer selection if you eat in. In the summer there is outdoor seating also. The staff is great too. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

We drop by Burrito Me whenever we go to downtown Laconia. (About once a month in the warmer months.) Burrito Me always serves us the freshest and most filling burrito! We love them! We have dined in, but often take them to go. We are going to try the burrito bowl next time because my daughter always gets that and raves about it. It's a great portion! If I could give this 0 stars I would. Heard good things so decided to try it. Website advertises the wrong prices. When you order food, every single thing you put in it costs extra. We got 3 items. Burrito bowl, burrito, and big burrito. All different meats and additions. None of them had any flavor at all. The chipotle meat had the consistency of cat food. The burrito had so many refried beans on it, it's all you could "taste". Cost over $40 and we each took 1-2 bites and threw it away. Haven't been to Burrito Me in YEARS, and wanted to try it out again. Was not greeted with a "hello!" But "did you place your order already?" The answer was no, and he seemed annoyed to have to help us. Not knowing until after our orders were taken that there were kiosks (no one said anything, and last time I was here this wasn't a thing). We waited a little while for our food which was fine. Food was pretty good, but the attitude from the people working could use some help. They refuse to take orders and just lazily point customers to a kiosk so we left the first time. My bf likes their GF options so he will go back. I am turned off by them repeatedly touching cash and food with the same dirty gloves like it's a requirement of the job, disgusting. We stayed by the register for a few minutes waiting for someone to take our order and then headed to a kiosk when it became obvious they weren't going to take our order. The sign at the register said to order there for cash or at the kiosk for credit card. First thing I noticed - the price on the chalkboard was not the price at kiosk. My $7 salad had become an $8.50 salad, same with the burrito. The website listed a burrito at $6, the menu in the restaurant said $7 but I was charged 8.50 and it remained unclear why the prices kept increasing and the highest was only reflected at the kiosk. Again if anyone had taken our cash order and we could have paid the price listed on their chalkboard that would have been preferable. Our food & margaritas were ready pretty quickly, but we both took note of the fact that neither of us were carded. Seems like they'd be okay with serving underage people and I don't think the girls working were old enough to serve the drinks. They may have been older than they seemed - they were so preoccupied talking, goofing off, and basically conducting themselves as vapid teenagers that it was impossible to know for sure how old they were. We unpackaged our food and were immediately disappointed with the portion size. The disappointment grew when we took a bite of the most bland food known to man. The steak was tender and the lettuce was fresh, but there was zero flavor. Z-E-R-O. The margs were...fine. They tasted prepackaged and devoid of any alcohol, but they had more flavor than anything else we consumed. TLDR - 0/10 would not recommend. Anyone who says this is authentic has never had authentic Mexican food nor Tex-Mex. That this place exists is a disappointment to Latinos everywhere. Im editing my previous review. I used to love this place but now the employees are very unpleasant (minus the owner). I recently ordered a burrito, and it came wrap into a square shape with salsa smeared all over the outside, and chipotle sour cream that tasted like it was rotten. I always get the same thing and it's never tasted bad before. When I let the employees know that their sour cream had gone bad and requested a new burrito, I was stared down, questioned, and 5 minutes later, asked "what do you want me to do? make it without the sour cream? 'cause the sour creams NOT bad.." Son, I just had it IN my mouth. And I had already asked for a new burrito twice, but I guess he was too busy looking at the kiosk to notice. It's not an insult either, I was just trying to help them by letting them know about their sc before they make someone sick, and then eat my lunch in peace. I wish I had a picture of the square! The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because I know it's not the food that's the real problem, it's just these new workers. On a better note, I still highly recommend the CCP Tuesday tacos! Mediocre and overpriced. I've had my third and final poor experience today. I ordered nachos ($14 for pork nachos +pico, sour cream, queso and guac) and got a handful of chips, a coating of cheese, and a few shreds of bland pork. The queso was grainy and broken. The girls working in the front were immature and unprofessional and spent most of the giggling and fooling around. They forgot my guac. This place is definitely just eh. I really wish it was better, and I've tried them twice now with the same reaction. This time I had a salad with rice, black beans, grilled veggies, pico, medium salsa, and crushed chips. I thought the salad was a burrito bowl, as I've had a bowl here before but that was the only option close to a bowl when online ordering. There was a lot of lettuce and a huge portion, making it at least a healthier meal than a normal bowl. The medium salsa was spicy, and the crushed chips were a nice touch. Beyond that, nothing about it was special or even seasoned. You can't beat the price at $6 for a veggie burrito with no add-ons, but those add up fast. I'm glad this place exits because there doesn't seem to be anywhere else in the Lakes Region to get a build-your-own burrito. I have written a previous review on this place - gave it 3 stars - I went in today and was going to order a burrito - chips - guacamole - it would have been almost $13 for just that no drink - I was watching the woman make them while waiting to order they were not at all full burritos she was placing no more than a couple tablespoons of each item on the burrito- I watched her put 5 pieces of chicken on a burrito that called for $1.50 in extra meat ??! When the customer said ( oh I ordered extra meat the woman making the burrito said that is extra ) unreal - I left before I ordered and went to el Jimador up the road got tamale burrito rice and chips for under $10 - I have never seen such inadequate portions for price than at this place - staff rather rude as well read more

Exactly two of them were doing the right thing in light of COVID. two people fixing food at a small prep counter, one in the kitchen, none masked. They did have outdoor tables at least. Not bad, I enjoyed one of each taco; each meat with lettuce and piko. The steak was pretty good, I couldn't distinguish the difference in flavors between the pork and chicken. By the time I got to taco #4 the tacos were saturated so much that I couldn't fold them up. I'd recommend putting the sauce on the side so you don't have excessively wet tacos. Price wise you can't go wrong: $14.00 for 4 rather healthy choices. I'll be back; give it a second shot and be more specific about my order. read more

I have now been here a few times! Every time I visit NH I stop at Burrito me! My all time favorite is their steak burrito with their own habanero hot sauce. Really warm and friendly atmosphere, lots of variety and plenty of different beverage options! I just wish they had Moxie in a glass bottle! However, my review is to let people know that I have NEVER received an order as I ordered it.
