If you want every single part of your order to get screwed up, not once, BUT TWICE within 20 minutes, this is the place to go.

I found a rat in my Taco and a spider in taco salad. My drink was hot when I ordered a cold one, and the place was very dirty

Okay, so this is one of those places that IS as cool as it seems on social media!…read more Lots of seating options, but we chose to sit at the bar overlooking Main St. It's a narrow counter top and there's nowhere to put your bag, so just a heads-up there if you like a little more space. The staff was fantastic! So patient, great recommendations (I doubted something she suggested, and what she suggested ended up being way better then what I wanted), was available to us when we needed and also did a great job just leaving us alone to chat. Really couldn't have asked for better service! The vibes are fun! It's somehow both family friendly and trendy? The drinks are great! I had a specialty banana rum punch and the Pink Dragon (mezcal, lime, dragon fruit, agave, black salt). I'm not a tequila girlie, but the person next to us had one and it was such an attractive beverage. My only regret? I didn't have two! The food was amazing! Bless these restaurants that are out here serving up quality vegan food. We had the specialty guacamole (it was topped with mango and chile lime seasoning, I believe) and it was a SOLID portion for the price point. I also got: 1) the BBQ jackfruit taco (with coco pineapple BBQ sauce, slaw, picked onions) and while it was filling, it was pretty underwhelming. When I look back at my pics, I'm wondering if they forgot to add the sauce? 2) the Impossible Taco (pico de gallo, vegan chipotle crema, cabbage) was stupid good. GET THIS. I wish I had gotten two of these. It was savory, and satisfying, and dangerously crushable (I'm convinced I could eat four). 3) the Treehouse Slaw (broccoli, kale, kohlrabi, brussels with an avocado crema), which I could eat every single day. Crunchy, perfectly dressed, a contrasting and complimentary side to the Impossible Taco. This. Is. A. Must. Visit.

The restaurant has a very funky and chill vibe. It's got good energy and just the right amount of noisiness. We had the short rib tacos and they were absolutely delicious. We also really enjoyed the coleslaw. My drink was the raspberry margarita. It was very good. Before warned: they do not take reservations. They do have a very well organized text alert system so you can go shop around Ogunquit while you're waiting for your table.

From the skateboard wheel doorknobs to the ski masks behind the register to the chalkboard menus, Mad Taco has strong alternative vibes. The punk rock/ classic hip-hop soundtrack playing made this Xennial's little 90's heart happy. Other reviews are accurate when they say the tacos are absolutely packed with meat! My partner had the carnitas and I had the Colorado tacos with house mole sauce. SO good, I think this might be my fave mole sauce ever. He has food allergies; the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in helping us know what was safe for him to order. We got the queso special as an appetizer... delicious and well-balanced. Def could've used more tortilla chips, as others noted, but that would've left less room for tacos. Finally, we got the tortilla soup. It had quite a smoky flavor and contained jalapeño slices, somewhat heavy on the spice. It had lots of chicken as compared to commercial soups. Smoky soups are not our thing. But for folks who are into that sort of thing, don't skip it! We liked the farm-to-table sourcing they advertised. The quality ingredients show through in everything they make. Also, the patio is dog-friendly; they even have dog bowls available outside. Glad our friends in the area recommended Mad Taco-- this place is the real deal!

Food wise I like that they have a few choices for kids, although it's too bad they don't have a non-spicy ground beef option for kids. We split a special and the Ahi Tuna Tostada, which was tasty, although I wish the tuna portion was less meager. Smoked wings were decent and were spiced differently than others that I've had. Portion size was fair. Overall pretty positive experience and I'd come back to this location and/or explore the others.

Great restauranteur, mural designer, food truck operator, you name it. The place serves awesome food, great beers, and all within an amazing ambiance. First time since they moved that we came over. The place is just across the Quechee Gorge park, hard to miss. Once inside, atmosphere is charged with the aroma of great food, while staff moves with plates and drinks constantly. It wasn't necessarily busy but the traffic was continuous. We were seated in the breezeway and ordered refreshments, a Session beer and a Western IPA, both local and very tasty. Food came next. Three tacos for me and two for the hubby. Mine were mixed, chicken, beef and fish. All three were superb. As well, their street corn is superb. I was able to converse with the owner and he showed me the mural he made and the amazing work done in an old building, gutting it and turning it into a showcase of a beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended.
