This local chain has restaurants all over the state! It was recommended by our host as well as TA. It was packed when we arrived so we opted to eat at the upstairs bar. The service was great and the food was perfect comfort fare. I ordered two autumn specials a fall salad with feta and sweet pumpkin seeds and the pumpkin ravioli. My friend had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken and a fall drink. All were delicious!

We arrived a little late for dinner but they were super accommodating. The decorations are very farm style and cute. There is a free cheese and crackers table. Arancini super crispy outside cheesy inside Bacon wrapped shrimp - tender and came with a side of cornbread Apple walnut chicken - chicken is slightly dry but the sweet walnut sauce is amazing Steak tips - tender but fully cooked when we request medium rare Lobster corn chowder - too salty for me but creamy

This was our second attempt to come here as it was too busy last time. The service was very good and the staff friendly. With respect to the food, it had excellent flavor. From the lobster corn chowder to the pot pie to the sweet corn bacon raviolis, they all tasted great. The only issue we had and what kept this from 5 stars was the temperature of the food. The Arancini balls tasted great, but were ice cold in the center. They did take them back and returned them fully cooked. But after we left my wife told me that her raviolis were also cold in the middle, but she didn't want to be "one of those people" and complain a second time. All in all, we would definitely go back and try other things.

Had an early dinner with family. The common man is always great for comfort food. We ordered the muscles as an appetizer they were plump and juicy and full of flavor. For dinner, we had two chicken pot pies, one pot roast, and baked scallops with a side order of mac & cheese. All the food was very good and as always was a nice portion. Amelia was our lovely server, very attentive and helpful, yet she didn't hang over the table. We ordered two desserts that were very large and tasted amazing. I've been going to Common Man's for more than 40 years, still haven't had a bad meal.

My boyfriend and I came on a Saturday for a birthday lunch for his dad. It was quite busy with a full parking lot by 12:30, but you can drive down the dead end road to loop around and park in their overflow parking. There was an hour wait so we walked upstairs to the bar and managed to find seating at a high top. Since it was his dad's birthday, we ordered his very first filet mignon, medium rare, but it came out well done. My boyfriend's steak tips were nice and juicy. My burrata salad had flavorful veggies and peaches, but overall it was a bit lackluster. I also got the ahi on the side, but it wasn't anything to write home about. We all got the lobster corn chowder to start, which was good with tender lobster pieces, but the chowder was heavy on the butter and salt, and I wish the cornbread wasn't so bite-sized.

Great, prompt, courteous service and a wide, diverse menu of hearty and yet slightly contemporary American cuisine. Food is nothing exceptional, and some items, while ambitious and garnering of excitement in description, miss the mark in either below average execution or due to an absence of flavor. Worth at least a visit or two, given continued success to support numerous locations.

    Do they take reservation?

When we were this summer they did.

Where can I get a gift certificate? Do I need to go to a restaurant?

Hi Barbara - you can get them at our restaurants, Inns, Spa, Flying Monkey, Co. Store or online at http://www.thecman.com/company-store/gift-card/default.aspx thanks!

We didn't get our meal ( after asking the waitress) until 640pm. We barely had time to inhale our dinner and had to take my partners meal to go. We had chicken parm and a ravioli type meal. No Aps and clearly no desert. I asked her to bring the check when the meal comes because we had to leave. After I paid I thought something wasn't right with the check They charged me $29 bar tab. I had 1 drink and a coke. I think she gave me the wrong bill and I'm going to call today My fault for not realizing it then but we were in a hurry due to the food being so late to the table. I think she forgot to put our order in because she also forgot to give us bread ( butter was on the table when we arrived ). Anyway a horrible experience for my cousins birthday night out. I will call them today and if they make it right I may be back but if they don't I won't be back. It should not take over an hour for ravioli and chicken parm. I did give her 20% tip because I'm a good person even tho it wasn't warranted. Next day UPDATE; I've been on hold for 30 min so far they did realize I was overcharged ( didn't say sorry however just acknowledged I was overcharged). I'm still on hold waiting to give my CC so I can get my refund.... I think they want me to hang up Still holding. Ahhhh finally. My refund is on its way. And she said sorry. ( which is appreciated ).

We received the bare minimum of service. Our waiter didn't bring our drinks until my husband reminded him. He saw our empty table and asked, " I didn't bring them?" He never brought our breadsticks. Everyone around us received attentive service. A waitress took one look at me and said " Oh G-d! One of those! and asked another waitress to trade with her. We never got a bag to take our leftovers out but I watched our waiter bring bags, pack the leftover boxes and teach another patron how to use the kiosk. My husband gave a decent tip because he believes in treating others how he wants to be treated. I honestly feel anger and want to cry at how poorly we were treated. Edit for additional info: I already wrote a complaint to corporate but I will NEVER eat at another Olive Garden again. The Director of Operations did follow up with me and was very apologetic. She even sent $150 gift card. I thanked her and deleted it because I will never step foot in another Olive Garden restaurant again. There are "authentic" Italian restaurants and family run businesses who appreciate ALL customers and treat ALL customers with respect! That is the rudest anyone has ever treated me!!!!
