Almost everything is homemade and delicious. Your typical sports pub menu but with quite a few fun options. Fries and onion rings are the best around. Nothing fancy but good food at great prices. They feature a mix of local hot sauces too. I came here as a vegetarian and there were plenty of options. Now visiting as a vegan they don't have any specific vegan options (not exactly the place one would expect) but are extremely accommodating and allow me to custom make a sub with whatever I would like. The manager or owner has been there every time we have visited and is helping out, running food to tables and answering phones. Definitely part of why this place has been consistently good every visit.

The food was delicious! Homemade fries bring the memories of Grandma's kitchen. Best onion rings ever! We will definitely be back

I'm a big fan of their cheese fries and coconut tenders, they offer a good selection of burgers and other apps, everyday there's a beer special for $2 sometimes we get lucky with a craft selection.

We were able to park close by and get in before the big crowd. Barley seems like a happening place. An upscale Irish Pub, for sure! The set up is a bar with a decent amount of restaurant booth seating. Of course, there were tables of different sizes available, as well. We were given a 10 minute wait after meeting with the Hostess. There was alot of activity around the bar and lots of drinks coming out of the bar well....always a good sign! When our time was up, we were quickly escorted to our table. We were each given a menu and a drink menu. Lots to choose from on both menus (see the pic below) I ordered the chicken sandwich with caramelized onions and my son ordered a Chicken Pot Pie. He had a beer and we both had water with a lemon. The food came rather quickly. I was immediately taken back when the caramelized onion was not on my sandwich. I was going to ask the waittress to fix it but it was far to busy and it was not a big deal. Of course, I would have enjoyed the onion but "no big deal". My son's Chicken Pot Pie was a good size and was thrilled with it. We both ate everything on our plates. Our waitress checked in with us a few times to refill, which was nice and came to take the plates away after we were finished. We did not get any dessert. To be honest, we did not see a lot of dessert plates coming to other tables, either. We were thinking maybe people leave to get ice cream at one of the nearby establishments. 5-Stars Price: Fair Parking: plenty near by Vibe: perfect...I would like to watch a game, someday, at the bar Pepsi/Coke: Coke Would I come again? Sure...we enjoyed ourselves and the food and service was excellent

Everything our party of four ordered was a disappointment, starting with an ice-tea cocktail that was undrinkable-- our nice waitress took it off the bill. My grilled salmon on a bed of rice arrived as dry as the Sahara, surrounded by burnt roasted carrots -- at least I think that's what they were. My husband's steak he ordered medium rare was also way overdone, served a block of with cold mashed potatoes. The overly sweet Apple Pumpkin Bisque (for $9) went uneaten after each of us tried a spoonful -- it was more like a bowl of pie filling than soup. Even the dessert, bread pudding with some whipped cream, was gloppy and unappetizing. This is a great place to go if you are fasting.

Called in and ordered the rueben (2) and Chocolate cream pie. Got there and nobody said hello for the first 3-4 minutes which seems long. Standing by the food area facing the bar, and no one said I'll be right with you or even acknowledged I was there for another 4-5 minutes. Then the waitress looked at me and said they would be right with me. A few minutes later, bartender said "Are you Bruce?" That ended all conversation until the food was done. Now in fairness, I am a native New Yorker so I have expectations when it comes to NYC food such as a reuben. Disappointed for certain. The bread was double thick marble but could not even taste any rye, toasted so it made it very hard to bite. The meat was cut very thick and it was undercooked; so it was tough to chew. Maybe a 1/4Lb at the most. Had to look to find the swiss cheese. Sauce was good as was the amount and flavor of the sauerkraut. The pie was good. It looks llike a nice place, similar to other bars in the area, but this one has a small stage for entertainment. Will try once more as the burger was written about as much as the reuben. So, I'll let you all know when we go. Update: Just read the description - Not a real reuben as it is made with pastrami not corned beef.

The wrap was warm and flavorful and perfect. The service was so kind and the food came out quickly! This is located inside a rest stop space and its food court style seating with a handful of gift shops/food places around it. Our only complaint was that the space didn't seem to have a working air conditioning. Maybe they were just trying to get folks in and out and not to linger long? I decided to go with the Korean bibimbap. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. I usually love bibimbap, but this version was extremely greasy and lacked the spice and bold flavor I was expecting. The gochujang sauce was pretty bland, and even after asking for more, it didn't make much of a difference. The rice had the crispy bottom you want in a bibimbap, but it still lacked that punch of flavor that makes the dish so satisfying. Overall, it felt like a very tamed-down version of bibimbap. The concept and menu are interesting, but this particular dish left me wanting more. Service was friendly but slow. I would still go back to the is place and give it another try.

The server was great and the place is unique, but the pour of wine I got for $12 left something to be desired. I was given a stemless glass of wine with less than six ounces of wine in it. The food had great flavor but the portion was drastically lacking. I ordered the dumpling pow bowl that was advertised to have dumplings and cauliflower in a Sriracha miso glaze. The bowl I got was the size of a cereal bowl. It had a very thin layer of diced cabbage with two dumplings cut in half and barely any cauliflower bits. My partner got a great sandwich, but the server asked if he wanted to upgrade for fries and he decided to get the curry fries. This was charged as a total additional side for $5.50, $4 for the fries, and 75 cents each for the curry mayo and the curry ketchup. If they are going to charge it this way, he should have received the chips as well. This was very misleading. The portions were totally off and ended up making the experience very bad for us. I can say we will never be back to this establishment and that saddens us, as my partner had fond memories of going to the Portsmouth location.
